Do you trek with your big bags? or do they get sent to the accomodation whilst the group is trekking?

You won't be trekking with your large suitcase. During the trekking portion of the trip, Intrepid provides a duffel bag for your trekking gear, which will be carried by porters. The weight limit for the duffel is 10kg per person, as each porter carries two duffels plus their own backpack (with a total maximum of 25kg). Your main luggage with non-essential items can be safely stored at the hotel while you're on the trek. We recommend packing as lightly as possible and ensuring you're comfortable carrying and lifting your own luggage for short distances when needed. Your trek leader will assist you with packing your duffel and advise what to bring for the trek and what can stay behind at the hotel. You'll need a day pack with enough capacity for items you'll carry during each day's walk such as a rain jacket, warm layer, water bottle, camera, and personal items. A hip or waist strap is recommended for added comfort while trekking.

Do you think we could perhaps if they decide for this tour joining the group? I am very interested in the 01.11.2025 tour or some similar on plus if any is combining a few days in Bhutan and Tibet.

We are not able to accept any travelers over the age of 36. These itineraries are curated for travelers who prefer to travel with those of the same age range. We do offer similar itineraries that are open to all ages.

What time roughly does the tour end on the final day in Kathmandu please? So I can plan flight times and onward travel etc ...

On the last day, you'll arrive in Kathmandu at approximately 6 pm depending on traffic and road conditions.

We noticed some issues such as the porters not being paid fairly as their food and accomodation was not included whilst they were with us on the tour - having travelled with Gadventures before, I know they have a lot of projects setup to help the local community and this is why I would perhaps be more likely to recommend them over Intrepid.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before July 10th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 10th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
