  Could you please confirm the arrival time of the flight from Victoria Falls to Johannesburg? Additionally, would it be possible to arrange a flight to Cape Town instead of returning to Johannesburg?

    The flights included in our Discover Safari Tour package are between Johannesburg and Victoria Falls only. It is possible for us to include these flights in the tour as we have a flight package agreement with a regional airline for their flights between Johannesburg and Victoria Falls only. And unfortunately the airline we make use of does not fly between Victoria Falls and Cape Town.
    
    The current flight schedule for our Discover Safari tour is as follows:
    Departure
    *Johannesburg to Victoria Falls departs at 13:00pm. (03 August 2026)
    Return
    *Victoria Falls return to Johannesburg departs at 15:30pm. (07 September 2026)
    Kindly know for the return flight there are no early or morning flights out of Victoria Falls to Johannesburg on any given day, all departures depart from midafternoon.
    
    Regarding a direct flight from Victoria Falls to Cape Town, we are able to assist each traveller by arranging the flight on their behalf to Cape Town, however, each traveller would need to cover the full cost of a direct flight from Victoria Falls to Cape Town. We unfortunately do not have flight package agreements with any of the airlines on this route, as airfare rates between Cape Town and Victoria Falls with these airlines are substantially a lot higher.

    Return 07 August 2026
    *Victoria Falls return to Johannesburg departs at 15:30pm. ETA: 17:15pm
    Kindly know for the return flight there are no early or morning flights out of Victoria Falls to Johannesburg on any given day, all departures depart from midafternoon.
    
    Regarding the direct flight from Victoria Falls to Cape Town. We have just received current flight pricing and flight details from our flight agent. Currently there is only one airline that flies once per day direct to Cape Town from Victoria Falls. The airline is Fly Airlink and they are a premium regional airline.

    Current One-way Ticket Price: USD 620 per person.
    
    Please note that regional flight prices change daily, this however is currently how it stands.
    In recent weeks regional flight prices have increased substantially and are currently on the very high end, more so on the direct flights between Victoria Falls and Cape Town.
    
    We would advise the client to opt rather to fly back to Johannesburg with the flight that is included in the tour package and then opt to fly from there to Cape Town. It is a few hours extra travel time, but it is a third of the price when compared to the direct flight between Victoria Falls and Cape Town.

    For reasons involving connections and arrival times, we decided to book the direct flight from Victoria Falls to Cape Town (ETD 13:25, ETA: 16:30) on 7 August. If possible we would like to have transportation from the hotel to the airport in time to make this (earlier) flight. Since the Victoria Falls to Johannesburg flight - which we will not be on - is included in the price of the tour program, we would be pleased to receive any partial compensation or refund of some of the tour fee for our alternative flight; however, if this is strictly forbidden by the company, please let us know.

    Regarding your request for compensation for the unused return flight back to Johannesburg. The flights included in the Discover Safari tour package are booked as part of a specialized, bundled travel arrangement with our airline partner. These special bulk fares that we receive from the airline are contracted with the airlines understanding that they are used in their entirety, with each of the two flights not having an individual cash value. Meaning, even if we cancel the flight back to Johannesburg, we still pay the airline the full set price.
    
    Due to this reason we are unfortunately unable to offer a refund or partial compensation if a traveller chooses not to take any of the flights included in the tour package.
    
    What I can confirm and assure you, that your airport transfer from your lodge to Victoria Falls airport for the 7th August 2026 will be arranged accordingly as per your stipulated flight time to Cape Town, and is still included in your tour package.

    The included return flight in the tour package, is specific to the airline that we work with, which is Safair.
    We have a flight deal with this airline which allows us to include it in our Discover Safari tour.
    
    We are able to book a different return flight for the client with their preferred departure time and airline, however, it is important to know, when booking with any other airline between Johannesburg and Victoria Falls, flight prices are substantially higher.
    
    In a case where the client opts to fly with another airline other than Safair, or at a different departure time, HoneyBadger is only able to contribute R1000 per person towards the return flight.
    Any difference in the flight price would need to be for the client's own cost.
    
    Furthermore, kindly know that there are no early or morning flights out of Victoria Falls to Johannesburg on any given day, all departures depart from midafternoon.

  I'm interested in this 5 day tour to Victoria Falls and Chobe but I won't be able to make it on August 31. My other tour in South Africa doesn't end until September 1. Is there an option for a start of September 1?

However, if the above date can't work for you, we are able to offer you the Discover Safari tour on your preferred dates as a private tour option. Currently the cost for the private tour option on a single supplement rate is US$ 2,580.

    I just found out that there was a change in plans on the other safari I am on and we will be flying back to JNB on August 31 in the afternoon. I think on the website there was an option for a departure on August 31. What time would I need to be in JNB to catch the flight up to Victoria Falls for this tour? And if I were able to make it on the August 31 tour, what would be the cost and when would I be returning to JNB?

    Our scheduled Discover Safari small group tour runs on specific dates only, with our next available departure during your travel period being the 3 August 2026 - 7 August 2026. And this scheduled tour operates as a 5 Day / 4 Night tour. However, we are able to assist and offer you a bespoke private tour option within your requested dates of 31 July 2026 - 6 August 2026. Which will operate as a 7 Day / 6 Night private tour. Please do know that all our private tour options require a minimum of 2x travellers to operate the tour or the equivalent cost thereof.

    Regarding the departing flight, we either depart on the 11:45am or 13:00pm departure out of Johannesburg for Victoria Falls. Majority of the time it would be the 13:00pm departure. The return flight from Victoria Falls to Johannesburg after the tour, departs at 15:00pm. Kindly know that there are no early or morning flights out of Victoria Falls back to Johannesburg on any day, all departures depart midafternoon to late afternoon.

  Is it possible to fly from CT on the 24th to Vic falls to join the tour. I noticed Airlink have direct flights from CT to VF's leaving CT at 9:45 arriving in VF just after midday.

    If you do opt to fly directly from Cape Town to Victoria Falls at your own cost, you would definitely still be able to join the tour in Victoria Falls, your flight to Johannesburg from Victoria Falls after the tour would still be included in the tour package.

    The return flight normally lands back in Johannesburg in the evening at 18:00pm on the 5th September. We advise against booking your return flight back home to Sydney on the same day that you return to Johannesburg from Victoria Falls. It is recommended to overnight in Johannesburg in order to make provision for any flight or border delays.

    Is it possible for us to cut our tour short by one day, that is fly out in the evening of the 4th September - we realise we will miss the last day of the tour. We can make our own way to the airport and if agreeable, please advise any additional fees payable.

    We are able to arrange a return flight to Johannesburg on the day of the 4th September. However, the return flight price for Thursday the 4th September is substantially higher compared to Friday and would cost an additional ZAR R2410 per person. Alternatively, we are able to accommodate you on one of our charter tours which has the exact same activities on the following dates: 29 August 2025 - 01 September 2025.

Our Discover Safari Tour is only offered as a 4 Day / 4 Night tour package. If you would prefer a 3 day tour instead, we are able to assist you and arrange a private bespoke tour of 3 Days/ 3 Nights within your preferred travel dates if available.
