Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
You'll arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport where someone from the tour company meets you and drives you to your hotel. After you get settled in, your guide will go over the trek itinerary, talk about what to pack, and explain what you should prepare for. Later that evening, you'll meet everyone in your group for a welcome dinner.

Kathmandu to Syabrubesi
Following an early breakfast, you'll take a scenic bus ride from Kathmandu heading northwest through the Kathmandu Valley toward Syabrubesi. Along the route you'll pass raging rivers, terraced fields, typical Nepali villages, and snow-capped peaks. The road runs smooth to Trishuli Bazaar, then it turns more rugged as it climbs through Dhunche before dropping down to Syabrubesi, a bazaar town where you can soak in the riverside hot springs to relax.

Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel
Your first trekking day starts from Syabrubesi crossing the Bhote Kosi to reach the Langtang River, then you'll trek down through terraced fields and lush jungle. You'll pass through a landslide region and climb to Bamboo, then keep ascending toward Riche near the Langtang River's bank. Walking through bamboo and birch forests, you might spot red pandas and other local wildlife before heading uphill to Lama Hotel.

Lama Hotel to Langtang Village
You'll continue trekking along the Langtang River ascending through thick forests with views of snow-capped summits opening up. At Ghoda Tabela the river valley widens considerably. Here you'll stop at the army checkpoint to handle paperwork, then cross the river to its east side. After passing prayer wheels powered by water and prayer flags, you'll reach Langtang, a settlement populated by Tamangs.

- Day 5
Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa
From here you'll keep climbing through fields and small deserted settlements while wide views of the Himalayas stretch across the Langtang Valley. The trek takes you through a glacier moraine and numerous tributaries as you gradually ascend until reaching Kyanjin Gompa, named for the historic monastery nearby. The monastery was badly damaged during the 2015 earthquake and sits largely deserted now.

Kyanjin Gompa to Chorkari Ri
Today is a challenging day trek from Langtang Village at 3,430m to Chorkari Ri at 5,050m and back to Kyanjin Gompa. This round trip takes roughly 7.5 hours and winds through forests before opening to alpine terrain with panoramic mountain views. You'll experience high-altitude hiking and meet locals from the Tamang community during this memorable adventure.

- Day 7
Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel
You'll start descending from Kyanjin Gompa, retracing your route back through the upper highlands. You'll pass through Langtang Village and stop for lunch at Ghoda Tabela, where you'll register your departure at the army checkpoint. After eating, you'll continue down through thick forests of the river valley heading toward Lama Hotel.

- Day 8
Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru
Today you'll descend to the banks of Langtang Khola and cross a small waterfall. You'll trek through a rhododendron and bamboo forest where wild boars and monkeys live. Throughout this section you'll have good views of Ganesh Himal. At the end of your walk you'll cross a suspension bridge to reach the bottom of Thulo Syabru village.

Landmarks Langtang Khola Ganesh Himal Thulo Syabru - Day 9
Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa
You'll trek from Thulo Syabru at 2,200m to Sing Gompa through rhododendron woodlands in about 5 hours. The path climbs with views of Langtang and Ganesh Himal appearing on the horizon. Sing Gompa sits at 3,580m and is known for its cloister and impressive mountain scenery. You'll stay overnight in a guest house here to experience local hospitality and the quiet mountain environment.

Landmarks Sing Gompa - Day 10
Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda
As you climb, Langtang Himal at 7,234m the most celebrated peak in the range comes into view. You'll trek on desolate barren mountain paths, and as you go higher, more mountains appear on the horizon including Ganesh Himal and even the Annapurnas to the west. You'll reach Laure Binayak then begin a tough climb to Gosainkunda. After two hours of steep climbing you'll reach a chorten, then trek another hour to see waterfalls and sacred lakes Saraswati Kunda and Bhairav Kunda formed by water from Gosainkunda.

- Day 11
Gosainkunda to Phedi
You'll travel through the Lauribina La High Pass to reach the Helambu region. The trail descends from the lodges to Gosainkunda Lake, then becomes steeper as you approach the pass. You'll walk along the northern shore passing three or more small lakes before reaching this pass marked by prayer flags and a stone stupa, the highest point on the Langtang Trek. After that you'll descend through a broad valley to High Camp at 4,240m, then continue on a rocky steep path to Phedi where you'll cross a footbridge over a stream.

- Day 12
Phedi to Thadepati
After breakfast you'll trek from Phedi to Thadepati via zigzag trail. The route initially drops steeply from Phedi toward a tiny footbridge, then after crossing a small stream on a bridge you'll climb uphill. After a long steep climb the trail drops slightly to reach Ghopte where you'll have good views of Tadhi Valley and Helambu. From Ghopte you'll trek through thick forest of oak, juniper, and rhododendron on an isolated trail, taking roughly six hours to reach Thadepati highland.

Thadepati to Kutumsang
You'll start with a strenuous climb over the 3,690 meter Thadepati Pass where you'll have views of Helambu Village below. From the pass you'll gradually descend through a forest trail on the western ridge and arrive at a large meadow where you can see Gangchempo and Dorje Lakpa. Continuing downhill toward Magin Goth, a small settlement with views of the Langtang range and Gosaikunda Peak, then after a long descent through rhododendron forest you'll reach Kutumsang Village for the night.

Kutumsang to Chisapani
You'll trek from Kutumsang to the Jogin Dandra ridge then descend to Gul Bhanjyang on a comfortable and fairly gentle trail. You'll cross Thorong Danda and continue walking gently uphill to a wide dusty road. After passing a few Tamang and Sherpa villages you'll reach Pati Bhanjyang. From there the path becomes rocky and steep for about 30 minutes to reach Chisapani at 2,215 meters, one of the most popular trekking routes in the Kathmandu area and part of Shivapuri National Park.

Chisapani to Kathmandu
From Chisapani's hilltop you'll catch the sunrise over the mountains early in the morning. Then you'll hike toward Sundarijal on a fairly gentle slope through Shivapuri National Park's heavily forested trail passing a few tiny settlements. You'll reach the park checkpoint and continue walking downhill through stone staircases beside the Bagmati River to a large waterfall. After descending a few more minutes you'll reach the Sundarijal bus stop where a car returns you to Kathmandu in about an hour. You'll have free time to relax at your hotel or walk through Thamel's streets to pick up mementos or gifts. Later a representative will pick you up for the farewell dinner.

This is your final day. You'll make last preparations before leaving as a representative from Nepal Social Treks arrives at your hotel and drives you by private transportation to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure.
