  Overall, this tour was just satisfactory. We had a good time, but have some recommendations for the company and potential travelers. The advertised hotel - the Steigenberger Cairo Pyramids - was centrally located - but the hotel they put us in - Tolip Gardens - was 30 minutes away on the outskirts of the city, which was extremely inconvenient. The hotel claims multiple bars but it is a dry hotel (they do not serve alcohol) and you are not allowed to bring in outside food or drink. There is also nothing within walking distance. We had to do a 20-40 minute uber ride to restaurants in central Cairo and near the Nile. We also had issues with the air conditioning in our hotel room (we asked multiple times for someone to come fix the AC but no one ever came). The nile cruise was also quite mediocre. The food was not very good and we again had trouble with the air conditioner in our room (which we asked 3 times to be addressed but never was). Also note that the drinks on the cruise (including water) are not included and very expensive; for example, 2 large waters and 3 soda cans was $22USD. In addition, after paying the tour price, we were asked to pay an additional $250 USD per person for entry tickets and tips, but then learned tour guide tips were not included; drivers and room cleaners also expected to be tipped - so it was unclear what tips we were paying for. The tour also did not schedule lunch for full days which should be added. Positive aspects are: all tour guides, employees, and drivers were extremely friendly. We never mentioned that hotel in our communications. If you wish, we can send screenshots of our messages showing the hotel names we provided both before and after you confirmed the booking. • We booked a 5-star Nile cruise for your group. During your stay we received no complaints from you about the cruise or the food. • Before you confirmed and before arrival we clearly stated that tipping and entrance fees are not included in the package. We also informed you that drinks, including mineral water, are not included. Please, when writing reviews, state only facts. If any part of your experience was unsatisfactory, tell us directly so we can address it.   The holiday lived up to everything that it promised and was excellent value for money. All pick ups and transfers went smoothly and on time. We had two different guides, both very knowledgeable and it was nice to be escorted to the various venues on the itinerary. However my travelling partner and I felt that there was an over abundance of information and would have preferred more free time on the various sites to take in the temples, pyramids and especially the new museum. Also there seemed to be un-scheduled stops at various outlets that were not on the itinerary and we did not want to visit. Both the hotel and boat accommodation were very comfortable and the staff in both were excellent. Food was first rate. All in all a very enjoyable trip. Thank you.Show more

  The guiding (by Marwa in Cairo and Ashran in Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel) was excellent and the boat journey heaven. Being a small group, they were always responsive to our requests and we felt totally looked after. The one issue was the Cairo hotel which, though really comfortable, is dry, miles from anywhere, surrounded by uncrossable roads and marooned in a development a good hour's drive out of the city.Show more

  The tour was good. We saw a lot of amazing sights in a short time. If you are mobility challenged, this trip is difficult. We were told it was accessible, but it wasn't. The tour boat (2 star rooms, 5 star service) didn't have an elevator so we had to use stairs to get to our room and to the restaurant. The tour has a lot of walking with limited options for sitting, though some places had golf carts to take you around a little. The tour operator did not fly with us, which made it difficult when we ran into plane delays in Aswan. We greatly enjoyed the trip despite the difficulties.Show more

  We had the private highlights of Egypt tour for our family of 4. Words can not describe the outstanding adventure we have had! Everything was very well arranged by the touroperator Truly Egypt tours, I think by Mac. The whole process of booking and than the questions and answers was fluently. We got answers directly sometimes in a few minutes, which gave a lot of trust. Also we felt save everywhere with our tourguides. They were very proffesional. In Cairo we had Marwah who arranged everything smoothly and spoke good and had also good knowledge of the pyramids! Also the drivers were good and of course Tony and Khaled who assist us from the airport to the hotels and vice versa. Than we got on the Nile cruisboat Ciela, one of the bigest two boats of the Nilecruises. A very beautyfull boat with friendly personnel, nice room and good beds and the food was amazing! Our touguide in Luxor and on the cruise was Ali. This was the ever best tourguide we had in our lifes! So well educated, intelligent and very kind. He knew so much about ancient history and told us so many nice stories about the Egytians and faraos. Nothing was to much for him and he felt like family. If we wanted something little different from the Itenerary he arranged it. And then of course all the beautiful and impressive temples, pyramids and the nature and scieneries so magnificant you can’t imagine. Many thanks to all of you! I will recommend this Highlights od Egypt tour by Truly Egypt tours to everyone who wants to have a once in a lifetime Experience! Don’t hesitate just book, you won’t regret it! I do not understand why Truly Egypt tours has a silver recommandation it must be gold or platinum! Again many thanks to everyone and especially to Ali who made our holiday!Show more
