We were on MS Zeina but I felt every other cruise was better looking and more clean than Zeina. But the cabins were clean and staff was very polite and helpful. We had our Tour guide Medhet. He was excellent and very kind person. Very patient with all our requests. Always on time. Transport was excellent and always on time. We had problem with delayed domestic flights and it was tiring. This was out of anyone's control. We were given the option to buy our own entrance tickets for all the attracrion or tour company could buy these for us. We were told that its about equal plus the tip for cruise staff. We paid the company for all our temple and meuseum entrance tickets. I felts we paid about 80 to 90 dollars per person extra to company according to my calculations at the end so I would advise buy tickets yourself please and save the money. Communication with tour guides was easy on WhatsApp. And Communication with tour company was good via tourradar app. The hotel we stayed in Tolip Garden in Gardenia City was fine and clean. It was far away from old Cairo but is near to few Malls to go and visit. Breakfast was included which was good. Overall the experience was nice.

The guide Ahmed Salendino was enormously knowledgeable and a super communicator - made the ancient Egyptian sites come alive for us - and he was so attentive to how we had and took into account different needs in the group. Made for a fantastic and safe experience. Of the extra tours: Finally, take the city tour in a horse-drawn carriage in Luxor and the balloon ride is also a great experience if you haven't tried it before. In Cairo Tony took very good care of us and was always available to us for big and small and super reliable and wonderful being who also shared knowledge about daily life in Cairo. Finally, take an extra trip to Giza and see the pyramids and the Sphinx at sunset from a delicious rooftop restaurant - it's absolutely beautiful and mega romantic.

We ended up paying an additional 1,000 AUD on top of the tour price by the time we were done, half of which was for transportation, mini bus and water taxi to visit items on the original itenerary. It would have been better to understand total cost up front, there's no need to hide cost information from your customers to surprise people with during their holidays.

From the moment I arrived at Cairo International Airport, where a private chauffeured whisked me to the iconic Four Seasons Nile Plaza, the trip set a tone of unparalleled elegance. In Cairo, we delved into the pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx with a private Egyptologist guide, followed by an exclusive evening at the Mena House Oberoi, sipping champagne amid gardens with pyramid views. A high-speed train then transported us to Alexandria’s Mediterranean charm, staying at the breathtaking Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano. Here, we explored the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Pompey’s Pillar, and the Catacombs, with yacht excursions and gourmet seafood dinners under the stars. The highlight? Boarding the ultra-luxury Sonesta Star Goddess Nile Cruise in Luxor – a floating palace with marble suites, infinity pools, and butler service. Gliding from Luxor’s Karnak Temple and Valley of the Kings to Aswan’s Philae Temple and Abu Simbel, every day unfolded like a private adventure. Hot air balloon rides over the Nile at dawn, felucca sails at sunset, and spa treatments with essential oils sourced from ancient recipes made it divine. In Aswan, the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract – Winston Churchill’s former haunt – offered riverside luxury with Nubian cultural experiences and a farewell gala dinner. What elevated this trip was the impeccable service: 24/7 concierge, tailored itineraries, and staff who anticipated needs before they arose, from dietary preferences to photography setups. Safety, comfort, and authenticity were paramount, with small-group access to sites avoiding crowds. Truly Egypt Tours crafted a masterpiece – I discovered Egypt’s soul in supreme style. Book this; you won’t regret it!

The only complaint is we arrived back in Luxor a day later than promised, causing one of group to miss out on the balloon ride. They did, however, refund her money. They were able to add two days to our itinerary so that we could see the pyramids, old Egyptian museum and the ne Grand Egyptian museum. All the guides we had we excellent, knowledgeable, and fun to tour the sights with. My biggest complaint, and the reason I gave the 4 stars, was communication with TourRadar and Truly Egypt was extremely difficult. I was traveling with a group of 10 people, and none of could get our questions answered. Thankfully, they came through and we were able to enjoy the trip together.

People showed up mostly when planned and I got to see most of what I expected to in Egypt. That said, there was a lot of disorganization with guides and the guides were sometimes completely unable to answer questions--both about the areas we were exploring and about trip logistics. It was very hard to know who to connect with when a guide didn't appear or when part of the tour was canceled or when somethine wasn't going well. The quality of accomodations were on par with what I paid--I can't be too upset about them considering how inexpensive the trip was, but that's perhaps a good thing to mention. If you're looking for clean, temperature controlled, well situated accomodations, these are not it. (The hotel in Cairo was particularly poorly located, cold, and unclean.) I did think my first and last guide were both really knowledgeable and kind--I learned a lot from both. That said, tipping was very confusing to me as the company collected a tipping fee before the trip and yet all of the guides and drivers either asked for tips or indicated that the company has never given them a tip, so I felt like I paid for tipping twice and it was really akward to try to have a conversation about that issue with any of them. It should be clearer--either the company collects and gives the guides and drivers tips OR I pay for them throughout the trip. I struggle to give this tour 3 stars, but 2 stars seems a little harsh. I wouldn't recommend this tour, though.

We saw all the Nile Cruise temples, Luxor, Karnak, Valley of the Kings, & Aswan escorted by Medhat Labeeb. He is very knowledgeable & accommodating. Ask him & he will arrange it...we added Unfinished Obelisk. Cruise food is great & staff is amazing. Our Cairo guide was also great..Marta? Tour coordinator Tony, like Medhat, will go/arrange anything you want.

Visiting all the ancient sites like the Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx and the temples were amazing. I would like to thank Tony for picking us up from the airport and make sure we were settled into our accommodation and keeping us informed about what is happening. The person who made our trip special and memorable was Asharf from the moment we meet him we are feeling comfortable his friendly personality, knowledge and assistance really help us to relax and enjoy the experience.

Our driver, Tony, met us at the airport in Cairo and was very accomodating and happily answered any questions we had. Our tour guide for Cairo, Marwa, was extremely knowledgable and very passionate about the ancient Egyptian civilisation. She was very friendly and knew all the best spots to see around the pyramids and museum and could explain anything you wanted to know. After landing in Aswan, our next tour guide, Medhat, greeted us at the airport. He spent the rest of the trip with us and accompanied us on the 3 day cruise on the Nile. Medhat was very knowledgable and offered to show us around each city outside of the tour. For example, on our last afternoon, he took us to a small shop and shouted us a sugar cane juice which we had not tried before. It was very refreshing and tasted great. The only reason we haven't given 5 stars was due to not finding out we had to pay for entrance fees to the sites and tipping everywhere until one week before we left. As we were not aware about the currency used in Egypt, we took out Egyptian pounds, only to find out they use USD the majority of the time. Being told about this ahead of time would have cleared up many questions and allowed us to bring extra USD currency to ensure we did not have to take thousands of Egyptian pounds out at a time. Despite this, we had a fantastic time. The locals were very friendly, our accommodation was excellent and our safety and enjoyment were at the forefront of everyone's mind.

We were also very lucky with the weather so that it wasn't bakingly hot during the tour. Even so, the tour was well designed to make the most of the cooler hours. Our guide Medhat, was excellent - superbly knowledgeable, very friendly and genuine! The Nile cruise boat - M/S Semiramis III - was comfortable, the rooms were nice, the beds comfy and the A/C very effective. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. And special credit to the kitchen staff, the food was varied and delicious and there was always adequate vegetarian options. The only thing I would want people to be aware of is that even though the boats have lovely top decks, when in port, with so many ships all running their engines, the diesel fumes can be a bit much. But you will definitely use the top deck for the hours that you're cruising down the Nile, which is fabulous. In Cairo we had the excellent Marwa as our guide for the Pyramids and the Museum, great tour guide with so much knowledge. Can definitely recommend the tour and these guides. And thanks to Tony for being so conscientious with the arranging.

On top you have to pay £155 per person for entrance fees to the attractions which was HUGELY inflated considering they all cost 450-600 EGP to enter (£7-10 GBP), PLUS 70+ for tips (but this does not include tips expected for any extras you pay for e.g. camel ride, hot air balloon). Even when you are told that the tip has been covered e.g. horse cart ride to Edfu Temple, they will still try to ask you for a tip anyway. Be prepared to be constantly harassed the entire time you are in Egypt. Even in the airport bathroom they try to get a tip out of you. Obviously mindful that people are desperate to try to make a living but it is very draining by the end of the week. The internal flight was booked late in the day so the itinerary was moved by a day without any notice. In a seven day itinerary 3 days are just you flying and not doing any activities at all. The meals included were not fully accurate. Also note that when you have a very early start which we had three times (Luxor full sightseeing day, hot air balloon day and flying to Cairo day), you don't get to have the buffet breakfast that you have paid for - you get a bag of bread rolls, something resembling ham and a yoghurt. The bread was stale one day and inedible, so really we only got to eat a proper breakfast 3 days. The "5 star" hotel in Cairo was very far from the centre so it's difficult to do anything if you arrive in Cairo earlier in the day. There was no water working in the bathroom for several hours on the first day. We did however enjoy the food at the hotel restaurant and thought it was reasonably priced. There was nothing 5 star about the cruise ship. No gym, food was really average, drinks were expensive (compared to at the hotel), no free WiFi! You had to pay for WiFi and it didn't even work in our room or the top deck. On a positive note, the host Tony and tour guides Nasir and Medhat were excellent. They were friendly, extremely knowledgeable and did their best to keep us safe and happy. We don't normally do organised tours but felt it would be much safer to do so in order to visit Egypt. We still enjoyed being able to see all of the amazing sights, but the overall experience was marred by everything we have summarised here at a high financial cost. It's really frustrating that they don't just advertise the tour at its actual full cost. It just feels like there are many hidden costs in addition to people trying to fleece you for money the entire time you're in Egypt.
