Generally speaking, the trip was fine. People showed up mostly when planned and I got to see most of what I expected to in Egypt. That said, there was a lot of disorganization with guides and the guides were sometimes completely unable to answer questions--both about the areas we were exploring and about trip logistics. It was very hard to know who to connect with when a guide didn't appear or when part of the tour was canceled or when somethine wasn't going well. The quality of accomodations were on par with what I paid--I can't be too upset about them considering how inexpensive the trip was, but that's perhaps a good thing to mention. If you're looking for clean, temperature controlled, well situated accomodations, these are not it. (The hotel in Cairo was particularly poorly located, cold, and unclean.) I did think my first and last guide were both really knowledgeable and kind--I learned a lot from both. That said, tipping was very confusing to me as the company collected a tipping fee before the trip and yet all of the guides and drivers either asked for tips or indicated that the company has never given them a tip, so I felt like I paid for tipping twice and it was really akward to try to have a conversation about that issue with any of them. It should be clearer--either the company collects and gives the guides and drivers tips OR I pay for them throughout the trip. I struggle to give this tour 3 stars, but 2 stars seems a little harsh. I wouldn't recommend this tour, though.Show more

For your package, we actually booked the best available Egyptian airline for the domestic flights, not a cheap option, and this even cost us more in order to secure your tickets. The total you paid was USD 1,824.00 for three people, and this price included a private airport pick up, a private tour guide in Cairo, a 5‑star hotel in Cairo with private car tours to the Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum, a 3‑night luxury Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor with a private car and private tour guide, one extra night in Luxor at a 4‑star hotel, a private limo transfer to the airport, and round‑trip flights Cairo–Aswan and Luxor–Cairo with the best Egyptian airline. Unfortunately, one of the flights was delayed by about one hour, which is an airline operational issue and completely outside of our control, and this affected the timing of some meals and one of the optional excursions. It is important to clarify that this delay does not reflect the quality or cost of the flights we booked for you, and we are sorry that this aspect impacted your perception of an itinerary that also included a 5‑star hotel, a luxury Nile cruise, and fully private touring services at a very competitive package price.

We got a message from Tony the day before our flight letting us know that he will pick us up in Cairo on our arrival. Each tour guide handed off to the next, they stayed in touch with other to ensure a smooth transition. Tony, who first picked up in arrival was very kind, polite and accommodating. He took a picture of us and sent to the next guide so they know to look for us. He also gave us a great recommendation for an authentic egyptian dinner that night. -Marwa our tour guide for pyramids, sphinx and museum was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Took care of us and made sure that we got everything out our visit. She also gave us a great recommendation for a koushary lunch. -hotel in Cairo was nice and clean, not much close by so we took an Uber which is safe and cheap. Staff at hotel were kind and helpful. -we did the camel ride in Giza, I didn't like being on the camel but we were taken to a nice spot and got great shots of the 9 pyramids. -Nile river cruise on the Opera was amazing. The room was clean and we had a large window slide door. The food was incredible, different each day and dinner was a highlight. The staff went out of their way to ensure you are having a great time. Tea time at 4 pm everyday was a very nice touch. Only issue here was that you were not given water and had to pay for it. This I found unacceptable and especially for what they consider 5*cruise. At least 1 bottle per person per day should be provided. -Ashraf our tour guide in Awan, Edfu and Luxor was amazing. Knowledgeable, kind, accommodating and extremely prompt. He made sure each day was incredible, he was very organized, extremely prompt, reliable and had great communication, letting us know the plans for the day and next day. He was very patient and explained everything numerous times without getting tired of us asking the same questions. He helped us shop and haggle and always looked out for us. He made us feel like his family and was always looking out for us to keep us safe. He went put of his way to do things for us, helping us book our train tickets for later parts of our trip, taking us gold shopping and giving us recommendations for food. -hotel at Luxor at the end of the trip was a bit shabby buy clean and efficient. Staff were great. The lunch on our last day in Luxor at a nearby restaurant was not good quality. Especially after the amazing food on the cruise, this was a let down. Wish that we could have had lunch at the hotel instead. -we did the hot air balloon in Valley of Kings. Early morning flight and 2 vans rides plus boat ride to get to. It was 20 minutes up in the air and packed with other people. We didn't go over the valley or see anything other than crop fields. A bit disappointing. -all in all, this was an amazing tour and a great value for the money.Show more

Cost of Travel insurance for one passenger 72 years and one passenger 75 yrs. Also, I understand there was a large museum of Egyptian antiquities recently opened in Cairo. Will that be part of the tour?

  We arrive on the 21st Jan 2026 quite late at about 11.30 at night. Can the tour accommodate this? What amenities does the cruise have if we dont go on the optional tours? The cruise includes a sun deck, restaurant, bar lounge, and cabins with private bathroom and air-conditioning. The private option typically means you have guide and vehicle for sightseeing. It usually covers the key visits that would otherwise be done in a group. Adding extra nights in Cairo is possible at 90$ per person per night in double room. The base tour cost is 990 USD per person, excluding optional extras.
