Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll arrive in Kathmandu and meet your Peregrine Treks representative who'll handle your transfer to the hotel. The afternoon is yours to rest and adjust to the city. Around 4:30 to 5pm, attend a pre-trek briefing where you'll pick up your kit bag, sleeping bag, and either a down or fiberfill jacket depending on what works best for you.

Kathmandu
This day is yours to explore Kathmandu on your own schedule. Check out sacred Hindu and Buddhist sites like Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath stupa, or spend time wandering through the lively Thamel markets. If you're up for a climb, head up to Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple) for views across the valley. Your Peregrine Treks team is around if you need suggestions or guidance.

Kathmandu to Pokhara
After breakfast, you'll transfer to Kathmandu's domestic terminal for a flight to Pokhara. From the air, you'll see the Ganesh, Manaslu, and Annapurna ranges spread out below as the plane heads westward over the Kathmandu Valley and Trisuli River. You'll land in Pokhara, which serves as the main gateway for trekking in the Annapurna region.

Landmarks Ganesh Manaslu Annapurna - Day 4
Khande to Dhampus Trek
After about an hour's drive to Khande village, your trek begins toward Dhampus through river valleys. You'll climb a ridge that passes through bamboo forests and rhododendron groves, and locals along the way will offer genuine hospitality. Once you reach the ridgeline, you'll have views of Machapuchare, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna South in front of you.

Landmarks Machapuchare Hiunchuli Annapurna South - Day 5
Dhampus to Landruk Trek
The trek continues through rhododendron forests and open fields leading toward Landruk village. Along the way, you'll walk past lush vegetation including primula and daphne flowers, and you'll hear various bird calls throughout the day. When you arrive at Landruk, Annapurna South will be visible at the head of the valley.

Landmarks Annapurna South - Day 6
Landruk to Ghandruk Trek
You'll descend through rice terraces down to the valley floor, then cross a steel cable suspension bridge over the Modi Khola glacial river. From there, climb via staircases toward Ghandruk, a Gurung village, with close views of glacier-fed Himalayan peaks around you. After lunch, head to the Annapurna Conservation Area headquarters to learn what conservation efforts look like on the ground.

Landmarks Modi Khola Annapurna Conservation Area - Day 7
Ghandruk to Pokhara
Starting with views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare, you'll trek for about 4 hours on a wide trail with some traverses and descents to reach Shaule Bazaar on the Modi Khola riverbanks for lunch. You'll continue descending through villages including Birethanti to get to the Naya Phul roadhead. A coach then takes you to Pokhara on Phewa Tal lake for a special celebration dinner with your porters and trek staff.

Pokhara to Chitwan National Park
After breakfast, you'll drive to Chitwan National Park through scenic roads. Once there, you'll get a briefing on what wildlife activities are available and settle into Hotel Parkland lodge with its cozy 2-bed huts. Grab lunch at the lodge, then pick from jungle safari, canoe rides, or nature walks to look for wildlife. Dinner lets you swap stories from the day's activities.

Landmarks Chitwan National Park - Day 9
Chitwan National Park
This full day in Chitwan is packed with activities. Visit the elephant breeding center to see conservation work firsthand, take a quiet canoe ride spotting birds and riverbank animals, join bird-watching sessions to identify different avian species, and go on a jeep safari to look for tigers, leopards, rhinos, deer, boars, and bears. There are also informative talks about the park's wildlife throughout the day.

Chitwan National Park to Kathmandu
Finish your final Chitwan activity in the morning and say goodbye to the jungle. You'll drive back to Kathmandu through landscapes and villages, arriving in the late afternoon. Settle into your hotel, then have free time to walk around and shop in Thamel for souvenirs and local handicrafts.

Landmarks Thamel - Day 11
Kathmandu Departure
