Regarding your preferred departure date, I'm glad to confirm that it is indeed possible to secure your space for January 29, 2026. We will be able to reconfirm 100% in October 2025, once the Ministry of Culture opens the permit system. In the unlikely case that permits for that exact date are not available, we will adjust your itinerary within the same timeframe to ensure you can still hike the Inca Trail.

If you're asking whether we provide transfers between airports in Lima, the answer is: yes, we can arrange a private transfer between terminals or to nearby hotels. However, if you mean you can't get a flight to Cusco, please note that we do not operate tours that start directly from Lima Airport — all our treks (such as the Inca Trail or Salkantay) begin with a pick-up in Cusco. For the 8-day tour, we do include airport pick-up in Cusco, so once you arrive there, we'll take care of everything from start to finish.

What time will I need to board the Vistadome train to travel back to Cusco?

You will take the train in Aguas Calientes at 14:55, and then a vehicle will take you to Cusco, arriving between 7 and 7:30 p.m.

There were some logistics that I don't think the company has ever considered. Therefore, they get four stars instead of five. What are those logistics? The tour is sold as an 8-day tour. I was half expecting to be with the same group the whole time. I was not. I was slotted in with other travelers for each segment, which meant lots of stranger encounters with people you didn't really get to bond with. I would just book the four day inca trail and call it good -- that's where you'll make the most friends. Because I was treated as this weird single unit, they didn't think about having my briefings until the night before each segment. However, there was a major oversight: they forced me to leave my bags in Cusco and be ready for the Inca trail hike a day earlier than everyone. When I had my briefing, the guide kept telling me to bring things or consider things that I had left in Cusco. The briefing should have booked far earlier when I still had access to my full luggage. There ARE markets in Ollantaytambo but it was so inconvenient to wake up at 5 a.m. just to buy things before the trek. So: demand that your briefing occur before you have to separate from your luggage. They might not be able to accommodate you because the guides are all freelance and likely don't get your information until right before they leave. That is the unfortunate state of travel in Peru.Show more

Our chef Vidal made an amazing variety and quality of meals each day. Our chief porter Juan did a great job organising the porters. Katy in the office was good to deal with in the lead up to the hike. I highly recommend the 4 day Inka trail hike. We had 14 porters carrying 20kg each for the 6 paid customers and the attention to detail was awesome. The Inka ruins we saw along the way and MachuPicchu was a once in a lifetime opportunity.Show more

I did the walking tour of Cusco and surrounding areas, Rainbow Mountain, a tour of the Sacred Valley and the 4 day Inca Trail Trek. This trip was an experience of a lifetime and I left a completely different person. I feel so grateful to Trexperience for their expertise and communication. Hiking the Inca Trail was beyond my wildest dreams and they went above and beyond to make it memorable. Everything from the food to the camp setup to the tour guides were top notch. We had gourmet chefs and each meal topped the other. The guides were extremely knowledgable, caring and passionate about their culture and people. The airlines also lost my luggage and they were extremely diligent in finding my bag for me by continually calling LATAM airlines to find out where it was at. I was jetlagged, tired and nervous to be alone in a foreign country and they made me feel safe. I will forever be grateful to them for giving me a dream vacation.Show more

For tours departing after March 21st, 2026, a minimum payment of $200 is required to confirm your booking with TreXperience. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 6 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
