10 Days in Peru, incl. Lima and Machu Picchu
A grand 10-day tour visits 11 destinations across Peru, from Lima's colonial center to Machu Picchu's ancient citadel. Visit Sacred Valley sites like Moray and Maras, then cruise Lake Titicaca's floating islands. Stay at quality hotels like Miramar Lima and enjoy 8 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 2 dinners.

- Days 1-2
Lima & Cusco
Begin in Lima's Miraflores district and explore the colonial center and Plaza Mayor. A visitor shares: "The San Francisco Monastery's catacombs were fascinating, though a bit cramped - go early to avoid crowds." On Day 2, fly to Cusco in the morning. The city sits at 11,152 feet, so take the afternoon to adjust. Many people feel the altitude right away, so rest and try some coca tea.

- Day 3
Sacred Valley
Start at Chinchero before the crowds arrive. See the circular terraces at Moray, then visit the beautiful Maras Salt Mines. A traveler advises: "The salt mines were incredible - bring sun protection and good walking shoes, the terrain is uneven and extremely bright from the white salt." Take the train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes in the evening.

- Day 4
Machu Picchu
Catch the first bus at 5:30 AM. The lines start early but it's worth it. A recent visitor notes: "Getting there for sunrise was worth the early wake-up. The morning fog clearing over the ruins is magical." If you want to climb Huayna Picchu, book months ahead. The permits go quickly. Consider hiking poles for the descent.

- Day 5
Pisac & Cusco
- Day 6
Cusco Free Day
- Day 7
Route of the Sun to Puno
- Days 8-9
Lake Titicaca Islands
Visit the Uros Islands early before the crowds arrive. Stay overnight with a local family on Amantani Island. A guest recalls: "The homestay was a highlight. Though basic, our host family was incredibly welcoming despite the language barrier." Visit Taquile Island next day. The stone paths are steep but offer great views.

Leave at 4AM for Paracas. Take a boat tour to see penguins and sea lions at Ballestas Islands. - 10 Day Andean Highlights "Machu Picchu & Puno" with Local Flights
First day of Lima was good with Marco Polo where we had a city tour. We had a great time at Cusco/Machu Picchu/Ollantaytambo with Ernesto as our (private) guide for 3 days. Ernesto was very good with Inka history and explained a lot of the sites we've visited. Since we were the only 2 with Ernesto, the pace was more to our needs while we adapt to high altitude. The bus trip to Puno with Ernos was hard to understand as he talked pretty fast while interchanging between English and Spanish. Amantani island was NOT as expected, as we ended up climbing 300m up the 40 degree slope to get to our homestay for almost an hour. We were so tired from climbing to the homestay, that we couldn't climb further and didn't want to go to the top of the island afterwards. But we found out later, from others, that Ernos gave a history of the island before the trip, that we would have joined to hear the history without having to climb to the top. The next day was Taquile Island, again it was a 20min climb plus 40min hike to the plaza, then later a 545 steps down to the boat. After these 2 days of extreme hike at high elevation, my recovered right knee (had a torn meniscus) was hurting so bad that I couldn't walk properly for a week. We were not warned about the steep hikes at Amantani nor Taquile Islands, or we would not have joined this part of the tour and go to Amazon instead.
- The Inca Journey
This was such a fun trip! G Adventure thought of everything! The tour guides are so very knowledgeable. I never had to guess what the itinerary is for each day because everything is thoroughly explained. The group is small enough that everyone got to learn about each other. I still keep in touch with some of the people in my group. Peru is such a beautiful country. Machu Picchu is a place that had been on my bucket list. Seeing it in person was awesome! The Rainbow Mountain hike was pretty challenging but was definitely worth it. Staying in a beautiful lodge in the Amazon jungle was so fun. We didn't get to see any anaconda but we saw many other animals. The food in Peru is diverse and delicious. Maracuya sour is a must-have. I can't say enough about how fun and memorable this trip had been. Thank you Washington (our tour guide)!
- Peru Jewels - 10 Days (Lima - Cusco & Puerto Maldonado)
Overall we had a great experience specially the guides during the whole trip they were all professional and helpful, transport was great almost on time for all the trip. Our concern was the hotels, specially the Cusco part, the first hotel wasn’t good far from the city centre where all the main attractions no noise isolation but they were attentive and change it( we wished that they did pick it from the beginning to avoid the hassle) the hotel in Agua Caliente was a disaster small humid smelly room we couldn’t sleep. Big thank you to Luz she was in constant contact with us on WhatsApp and attentive to all our concerns and taking prompt action every time. Thank you all for the unforgettable experience.
