- Day 1
Calgary to Kananaskis
You'll arrive in Calgary and get transferred to Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, where you'll check in and have the afternoon to settle. Later, you'll meet up with the other travelers for dinner. After that, spend the evening relaxing and taking in the peaceful setting of Kananaskis Provincial Park.

Kananaskis to Jasper
Today is all about the drive along the Columbia Icefield Parkway, a 232-kilometre route that winds through the Canadian Rockies. You'll pass turquoise lakes and dramatic cliff faces, then see the Columbia Icefield itself before reaching Jasper National Park. Once there, the afternoon is yours to explore the wilderness or just enjoy the quiet alpine surroundings.

Jasper
Start your morning with a scenic cruise on Maligne Lake to see Spirit Island. In the afternoon, there's an option to join a float trip along the Athabasca River if that interests you. For the evening, you can walk around Jasper's town centre or head back to your accommodation to rest.

Jasper to Columbia Icefields
You'll head to Athabasca Falls first to see the powerful water cascade through the narrow gorge. Then it's time to leave Jasper and drive to the Columbia Icefields resort where a champagne reception waits. Later that evening, you'll get an after-hours visit to the Columbia Icefield Skywalk with its glass walkway, followed by dinner with glacier views and stargazing from the viewing deck.

After that, you'll drive the Icefields Parkway through towering mountains and open valleys, then explore Yoho National Park to see its waterfalls. You'll finish the day at the Fairmont Banff Springs for a quiet evening.

For lunch, you'll enjoy a nice meal at Chateau Lake Louise with a view of Victoria Glacier and the surrounding peaks. Afterward, drive through Banff National Park to check out the hoodoos and Surprise Corner before returning to your hotel.

- Day 7
Banff
This morning, you'll take a guided walk through the boreal forest with an Indigenous local expert who'll teach you how First Nations communities used local plants for healing and survival, plus share stories about wildlife like bears and plant medicine connections. You'll participate in a tobacco smudging ceremony. In the afternoon, choose between visiting The Whyte Museum with its large collection of artifacts about Rocky Mountain life, or learning about the history of the Fairmont Banff Springs with a hotel ambassador. Tonight, celebrate with dinner alongside your travel director and fellow travelers.

Banff to Kamloops (Rocky Mountaineer)
Head to Banff Train Station to board the Rocky Mountaineer heading west through the Canadian Rockies. The route takes you through glacier-fed lakes, ranchlands, rocky shorelines, high mountain passes, and tunnels. Key stops include Craigellachie where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, Rogers Pass, Kicking Horse Canyon, and the Spiral Tunnels. You'll arrive in Kamloops later and stay overnight there.

- Day 9
Kamloops to Vancouver (Rocky Mountaineer)
Leave Kamloops and continue on the Rocky Mountaineer toward Vancouver. The landscape changes dramatically from the dry interior of British Columbia to the green fields of the Fraser Valley, then forests and winding river canyons with the Coast and Cascade Mountain peaks around you. Along the way, you'll pass Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon and steep slopes by the Thompson River. You'll arrive in Vancouver in the evening and can either head to the airport on your own or choose to stay longer.
