- Day 1
Catania
You'll arrive at your hotel in Catania and have the rest of the day to settle in. Grab dinner somewhere in the city on your own whenever you're ready.

- Day 2
Noto - Ragusa
After breakfast at the hotel, head to Syracuse to walk through one of Sicily's most historically significant cities. The Archaeological Park of Neapolis has the Greek Theatre, Roman Amphitheater, Latomie of Paradise, and the Ear of Dionysius all worth seeing. Then cross over to Ortigia island where you can check out the Cathedral and Arethusa's Fountain by the port. You'll have free time for lunch before transferring to Noto, where the 18th-century Baroque architecture is really something to see. From there it's on to Ragusa for dinner and your overnight stay.

- Day 3
Modica - Piazza Armerina - Agrigento
Start with breakfast at your hotel, then spend the morning walking through Ragusa Ibla with its churches, baroque palaces, and the Giardino Ibla garden. Next you'll head to Modica to stop at the Sabadi chocolate shop and try their famous artisan IGP chocolate. Lunch at a local restaurant follows, and then the afternoon takes you to Piazza Armerina to see the Villa Romana del Casale and its remarkable Roman mosaics. Later you'll transfer to Agrigento for dinner and your overnight.

- Day 4
Marsala - Palermo
Begin at the Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you'll see the ancient remains of Akragas and the Temple of Juno, Temple of Concord, and Temple of Hercules. Travel to Marsala afterward, the historic city known from Garibaldi's landing. Visit the Florio Cellars to tour the 19th-century vats and three wine cellars, then have a light lunch with wine tasting. You'll also explore the scenic Salt Road to see the Stagnone islands and the old salt pans. By evening you'll transfer to Palermo for accommodation, free dinner, and your overnight stay.

Palermo
After breakfast, travel to Monreale to see the Arab-Norman Cathedral with its Byzantine mosaics and medieval Cloister. Then return to Palermo where you'll visit the Cathedral (mixing Gothic, Baroque, and Norman styles), the Martorana Church with golden mosaics, and the Cappella Palatina. Break for lunch with local products, then spend the afternoon walking through the historic centre to check out the Teatro Massimo opera house and the Renaissance Fountain in Pretoria Square. Dinner on your own and overnight at your hotel.

- Day 6
Catania
Visit the seaside village of Cefalu with its Norman Cathedral and impressive towers. You'll have free time to wander the cobbled streets or visit the Mandralisca Museum if you're interested in art and archaeology. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant to try Sicilian food. Later travel to Catania and walk through the historic centre with its late-baroque style built from Etna lava stone. Cross Duomo Square to see the Cathedral of Sant'Agata and the lava stone Elephant. Walk through University Square and Via dei Crociferi to see the Monastery of San Benedetto. Dinner on your own and overnight at your hotel.

- Day 7
Taormina - Catania
After breakfast, spend a short time at Catania's fish market (the pescheria), then head out to Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano at 3,350m/10,991ft. At Rifugio Sapienza you'll visit the Crateri Silvestri, two ancient craters inactive since 1888, and taste artisanal honey and local products. Continue to Taormina, known for its natural setting and historic character. Have lunch at a restaurant in the old town trying local specialities, then visit the Greco-Roman Theatre with views out to the sea and Mount Etna. You'll have free time to explore the charming streets, shop, or just relax before returning to Catania for dinner on your own and overnight.
