- Day 1
Amsterdam
You'll land in Amsterdam and start getting to know the city right away. The canals and those colorful gabled houses you've probably seen in photos are all around you. If you're interested, there's a glass-topped canal cruise available this evening that gives you a nice introduction to how the city's laid out on the water.

- Day 2
Amsterdam to Boppard
Head east from Amsterdam through Germany's green countryside toward Cologne. You'll see the Gothic Cathedral there, then travel to Boppard for a Rhine river cruise. The whole ride down the valley shows you medieval castles, vineyards cut into hillsides, and small villages that look like they stepped out of storybooks. After arriving at your hotel, you'll have dinner with the rest of your group.

- Day 3
Black Forest to Lake Lucerne
Start with a drive through Germany's Black Forest, then cross the border into Switzerland. You'll stop at Schaffhausen to see the Rhine Falls, which is Europe's largest waterfall and worth the stop. Later you'll head to Lake Lucerne for the evening. There's an optional Swiss folklore show if you want to experience yodelling and alpine horn playing after settling in.

- Day 4
Lucerne
Your Travel Director takes you through Lucerne's Old Town to see the Chapel Bridge and the Lion Monument, which marks where Swiss Guards died during the French Revolution. You'll spend the full day here since Lucerne was an important stop on the old Grand Tour of Europe. Optional activities include mountain excursions with lake cruises and views from higher elevations if those interest you.

Lucerne to Paris
Head north through Basel and pass by Burgundy wine country on your way to Paris. You'll have the evening to start exploring on your own once you arrive. If you'd like, there's an optional scenic river cruise through the city or a drive past the major sights, but otherwise the evening is free for you to wander around and get your bearings.

- Seine Cruise And Paris Illuminations - leisurely cruise along the River Seine followed by a drive through Paris with stops at vantage points to photograph the city (may take place before sunset in summer)

- Day 6
Paris
Your Travel Director leads a guided tour showing you the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, and the Champs-Élysées. After that introduction wraps up, the afternoon is yours to do what you want. You could shop, head up to Montmartre, check out different neighborhoods, or hit some museums. In the evening there are optional activities like a cabaret show, exploring Montmartre more, or visiting the Montparnasse observation deck with a walk through the Latin Quarter.
