    We have acknowledged your feedback and would like to express our sincere regret that your trip to Scotland was suspended a second time due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. We absolutely understand the disappointment you must feel, as this was certainly never part of the plan. With that said, unfortunately we are still having to cooperate with the ever changing state of the pandemic, as well as the current guidelines of each country, and those of the World Health Organisation. As such, we still hope to have the opportunity to travel with you to Scotland in the future, and in the meantime, stay safe.

    We certainly regret to hear that your trip to Europe with Costsaver was affected by the Covid-19 crisis. On top of this, it does concern us to know that you may not have been satisfied with the different options we are currently able to provide to those of our guests who have had their upcoming trips suspended. Please be assured that we are doing everything within our power to reach a positive outcome with each of our guests. With this in mind, we hope to have the chance to host you in the future when travel becomes safe again, and in the meantime stay well.

    The tour was canceled and I'm 70 and can't risk going out of the country and catching Covid-19. This company is refusing to refund my deposit.

We have all adapted to this new world, where it’s imperative for us to take additional hygiene measures.

That’s why you can travel with us and be assured that we have put numerous new measures in place to elevate our hygiene standards and protocols. The well-being of our guests and team has always been, and always will be, our primary concern.

In this new, fast changing Covid-19 era, we are doing all we can to adapt to new requirements and expectations. Here are some important new steps and procedures that we have implemented to enhance hygiene protocols, to comply with physical distancing requirements by relevant government authorities and to give you the peace of mind when you are travelling during these new times.

Covid Travel Declaration:
All team members and guests will complete a personal travel declaration before joining their trip. If a guest has tested positive for COVID-19 (or is travelling with someone who has), they will not be able join the trip until cleared as ‘fit for travel’ by a medical professional.

Upon arrival and prior to joining my trip, I will be able to present one of the following:

  • Authentic COVID-19 vaccination certificate (electronic or paper showing date and time of vaccination(s) with final dose given at least 14 days before departing for this trip, OR:
  • Verifiable negative test result for COVID-19 (electronic or paper showing date and time of test) taken within 72 hours of this Costsaver trip departure. For trips in the United Sates, the test must be a PCR test.

Expertly trained travel directors
Travel Director training equips them with enhanced hygiene and physical distancing procedures. During your trip, they will operate with a duty of care and monitor the hygiene etiquette of our guests, reacting and advising as needed, to ensure high standards are maintained. Before you travel, we will also keep you well informed about new protocols required in these areas, and ask that you cooperate with and heed the advice and direction of our Travel Directors while on your trip. Our Travel Directors have preventative measures in place to try and ensure your well-being and in the event that any unexpected issues arise on trip, they will activate additional protocols.

Stringent on-the-road protocols
Our customized luxury coaches are sanitised before the start of your trip and have always been kept to very high standards. Following the outbreak of COVID-19, we have taken additional measures to elevate our hygiene and sanitary practices in accordance with guidance from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and as required, applicable government regulations. Our Driver training provides them with the latest hygiene protocols. They will clean and disinfect all surfaces including handrails, door handles, tables, seats, air-conditioning filters and overhead lockers on a daily basis. All our guests are asked to follow hygiene practices recommended by the World Health Organisation including the thorough and regular washing of hands and sanitising when required. Hand sanitiser is freely available on board for your use throughout the day. Please bring your own washable face mask and gloves with you, and additional hand sanitiser to make you feel comfortable, as these will be required to be worn in public in some countries. Should an unexpected situation arise, additional face masks, rubber gloves, antiviral sprays and wipes will be available for guest distribution on all trips.

Physical distancing
Adapting to the right size groups, based on government distancing requirements, you can rest assured that you will travel with the comfort of your own personal space. Have peace of mind that all of the experiences, hotels and restaurants you’ll enjoy on your trip have been vetted to ensure they adhere to physical distancing and hygiene guidelines.

  • How do I go about booking Optional Activities?

    We realise that everyone likes some time to themselves, which is why we’ve left free time on all of our itineraries. If you want to get the most out of your destination, our Optional Experiences let you tailor your trip. Your Travel Director will tell you about all of the Optional Experiences available on the first day of your trip. Payment can be made by credit card or cash.
  • Do I need a visa?

    You are responsible for obtaining all necessary visas prior to the departure of your guided holiday. Depending on your nationality, you may need visas to enter certain countries included on your trip. Please note that obtaining visas can take up to six weeks prior to your departure. It is strongly advised that you consult your Travel Agent and the local Consulate or Embassy of the country you are visiting well in advance. 
  • Is travel insurance mandatory?

    We strongly recommend that all guests have a travel insurance policy to ensure your peace of mind before and while travelling. It's important that you protect yourself in case of trip cancellations, an interruption for any reason, baggage delays or loss of baggage and medical expenses.
  • Is there a single supplement?

    If you prefer the privacy of your own room, you can opt for our single supplement. The cost will depend on your trip and can be found in the pricing section of the itinerary. On many of our trips we offer discounts on the standard single supplement. If you’d rather not incur the additional expense, consider our single traveller room share option. We’ll accommodate you with a fellow guest of the same gender, on a twin-bed basis.
  • What is a Travel Director?

    Our Travel Directors come from a variety of backgrounds but they all share a passion for travel and their home countries. These experienced professionals show you what the guidebooks can’t – a true insider’s perspective of each destination. Each Travel Director has been through a bespoke training program and many have at least five years’ experience under their belt.
  • What are the transport coaches like?

    We pride ourselves on having the finest fleet of fuel-efficient, fully air-conditioned coaches – all with reclining seats and on-board restrooms. The high vantage point from your coach’s window means you can take in all the glorious scenery, whether it’s a vast rural landscape or an urban city center. We also have on board Wi-Fi.
  • Will I have enough free time?

    Each itinerary offers the perfect balance of downtime and discoveries. We also give you the opportunity to tailor your trip with Optional Experiences. You might choose to enjoy some of the best seats in the house at the world-famous Moulin Rouge in Paris, or maybe take a magical early-morning balloon ride over the Napa Valley.
    Our At Leisure trips offer a more relaxed pace, with later starts and longer stays in each place.
  • What if I get sick during the trip?

    Your Travel Director will assist you with a doctor’s visit or hospitalisation should you require. Costsaver has a dedicated Guest Support Department in Europe, or our Operations Department in the relevant country will contact you to offer assistance and advice, coordinate with your travel insurance company and keep in touch until you are able to re-join the trip or return home.
