What are breakfasts-buffet style! Do the hotels have restaurants? Do you offer porter service? Do you have time for museums and art galleries? What are the extra tours or tickets?

The tour includes 11 breakfasts; however, we are unable to confirm whether these will be buffet‐style. Breakfast offerings vary by hotel. While many mid‐range hotels commonly provide buffet options, this is not guaranteed and depends on each property's facilities. Most 3–4 star hotels do have on‐site restaurants, though this can vary by location and property amenities. Please note that porterage is not included, and guests are responsible for handling their own luggage throughout the tour. You will also enjoy free time in several cities, including Copenhagen, Oslo, Bergen, and Stockholm, giving you the opportunity to visit museums, galleries, and other attractions at your leisure. In addition, the itinerary features a number of cultural Choice Experiences, such as a visit to The Fram Museum in Oslo. There are 14 optional "Choice Experiences" available on this itinerary at an additional cost.

How far off are you from getting a definite departure? Is it 40 people required for this bus tour?

The maximum group size for this tour is 48 guests. The tour should meet at least half of the average group size to become definite.

What is the single supplement?

The cost of the single supplement varies depending on the departure date.

The single room is already sold out. We can offer a twin shared room at USD 2,695.50 per person. The Big Travel Sale applies to this price; the deposit is required at the time of booking, and the final payment must be settled 120 days before departure.

We have booked two places on the Highlights of Scandinavia tour departing 8/14/2026. It is not yet showing as guaranteed. Can you tell us how close it is to being guaranteed as we want to book our flights and insurance. Will you communicate with us when it is guaranteed?

The 14-Aug-2026 departure is not yet a definite departure. At this stage, we are unable to confirm when it may become definite, as this depends on the number of passengers booked. A minimum number of guests must be met for the tour to operate, and this information is not released by our Operations team. Typically, Operations will make a decision to withdraw a departure approximately 8–10 weeks prior to departure, sometimes earlier if the booking outlook is not promising. Departures are regularly updated on our website to reflect their status, so we recommend checking from time to time for the most current information.

Do you have a tour that would fit in this time period between April 17th and April 29th? We were looking at the Highlights of Scandinavia.

The available travel dates we have in April are 24-Apr-2026 to 05-May-2026. If your plans are flexible, you may also consider traveling with our sister brand, Trafalgar, which offers an available date from 19-Apr-2026 to 02-May-2026.

Can you please provide information about and the cost for the Nærøyfjord cruise?

The Nærøyfjord cruise takes you through the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, a narrow branch of the Sognefjord, with towering cliffs, waterfalls, and picturesque villages. It is included on the Fjords and Mountains optional experience on Day 7, which priced at €87 per person. Optional Experiences will be offered to you by your Travel Director during your trip. Some may be subject to change, depending on the time you are traveling or local circumstances including weather and days of the week. Further information will be provided by your Travel Director, and the payment can be coordinated with them. Exact payment options will be advised locally by the Travel Director, but in many cases cash (local currency), Visa, Mastercard and American Express are all accepted.

Wonderful trip! Our tour director, Carolyn, was very knowledgeable and well versed about Scandinavia and if there was any question that arose that she didn't have an immediate answer for, she researched it and found out! Her organization kept all our tour members largely on track over 12 days, in many cities across three countries. Our driver, Greg, was fantastic as well. We were never lost and he maneuvered the bus like a pro! The planned and optional experiences were enjoyable, the views were breathtaking, and the food was good, too! Carolyn and Costsaver/Trafalgar build small moments and experiences into the trip as well to allow you to experience a bit of the local culture. This makes the whole thing even more memorable! The hotels are satisfactory, but rooms are a bit small in some cases and TV technology is limited. Best to bring a tablet for streaming as wifi is generally available, but smart TVs are not. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat - loved it!!Show more

Our tour director Carolyn was amazing! She was knowledgeable about all the places we went and worked hard to personalize the trip for everyone. She took the time to get to know each of us and had great recommendations for our free time. Greg, our driver, was amazing as he navigated the narrow roads and sharp turns through Denmark, Norway and Sweden. This trip was packed with beautiful scenery and history. If I could make one suggestion, I wish we had a little more time in the “lunch break” cities along the way. Some of the towns were beautiful but we didn’t really have any time to explore them.Show more

I would prefer to write a personal review directly to the tour company with suggestions of improvement, but I’m not sure where to do that or who to write it to (Trafalgar or Costsaver). Especially for one major issue! Prayfully they will let me know. It was just not long enough in the great places and to long in others. Many agreed. Just the same, I would recommend this trip to anyone! Amazing sceneries! Nice people. I would have preferred it be reinforced by the tour director for everyone to be respectful and hygienic when coughing or sneezing. Again, a great trip overall!Show more

A minimum number of guests must be met for the tour to operate, and this information is not released by our Operations team.   The Nærøyfjord cruise takes you through the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, a narrow branch of the Sognefjord, with towering cliffs, waterfalls, and picturesque villages. It is included on the Fjords and Mountains optional experience on Day 7, which priced at €87 per person. Optional Experiences will be offered to you by your Travel Director during your trip. Some may be subject to change, depending on the time you are traveling or local circumstances including weather and days of the week. Further information will be provided by your Travel Director, and the payment can be coordinated with them.
