On the long Intercity bus trips are there stops at the smaller towns to stretch and sightsee or is it get there as quickly as possible?

On the longer Intercity bus sections, there are scheduled comfort stops along the way where you can get off the coach to stretch your legs, use the restroom, and buy snacks for your journey. These stops are mainly for comfort rather than full sightseeing visits, as we do aim to keep the travel time efficient so you can enjoy more time at the key destinations on the adventure.

What are the rules concerning changing travel partners?

Travel partner changes may be subject to fees, depending on when the change is requested relative to the departure date. If you are replacing your travel companion with a different traveler, a change fee may also apply, depending on how close the request is to the departure date. However, if the change is requested before any applicable fee period begins, we can usually update the traveler details at no additional cost. If you are instead cancelling a travel companion from an existing booking, a cancellation fee may apply. The amount will depend on the number of days remaining before departure.

I am enquiring about this tour for myself and my daughter who is 15. Would arriving into London on the 18th morning be a problem to get on the tour?

The term "twin room" shown on the itinerary refers to the room category and does not necessarily mean that two separate rooms have been booked. There is already a double bed request noted on the booking. Please note that bedding configurations are subject to hotel availability and cannot be guaranteed, as some hotels may only offer twin beds. This is a 10-day coach tour, but it also includes a ferry crossing from Dover to Calais. Once in continental Europe, most of the journey between cities is by comfortable coach, with optional local experiences that will be offered by the travel director. Hotel accommodation for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) will be arranged as two rooms. This can be set up either as two twin rooms or as single room plus one triple room, depending on preference and availability.

As our first time in Europe, this tour was a wonderful way to get a taster of Europe in 10 days. Brendon was a fantastic tour director with lots experience and so much expertise knowledge about travel sites, landmarks and a whole lot of other advice around how to keep safe etc. He took time to get to know everyone on the bus, is patient and helpful (my teenager got sick and he went out of his way to help with getting medication) and both my children thought he was wonderful. Gianni (I hope I have his name right) was a safe and patient driver and made our journey a comfortable one, even though there was lots of driving. The tour has many early mornings, loads of walking at times, long days on a bus and schedules and deadlines. So if you want something leisurely, this is not for you. Also with children, it would depend if they were happy to get up early, walk and stay on a bus for long hours. I was travelling with a young adult and a teenager so some days were too long (or too early) for them. But speaking for myself, it was a wonderful way to experience the best of all the European cities we travelled through. I got to see all the important sites without worrying about crowds and navigating my own way there as well as meeting some wonderful people along the way. Some hotels were good and some a bit average, but most times it was only a place to sleep, you can ask for fans etc if its too warm in the room (sometimes aircon's did not work, but travelling at the end of September a fan was sufficient). You get to choose optional activities at an extra charge, but this information is given to you when you first book, so should not be a surprise. Thank you Brendon and Gianni for a wonderful trip and most of all some fantastic memories.Show more

This was a great tour. We knew from the start that, due to the time constraints, we were not going to see everything, but the number of included highlights pleasantly surprised us. The travel director was very hands on and made sure everyone was as involved as possible. Honestly, this should have been 4.5 stars, but that wasn't an option. My only slight disappointment was at the start of the tour. Counting two days in London as part of the tour when only the hotel was provided seemed as stretch, but it did allow us to do things on our own.Show more

  There is no problem at all with you arriving into London on the morning of the 18th. There are no included activities in London on arrival, and hotel check-in is usually from around 3:00 PM. The adventure really gets underway on Day 3 in Paris, so you will have time to arrive, rest, and explore London at your own pace before joining the main program.
