  Our first ever tour, we were unsure of what to expect. Debra, our tour director was the heart of the tour. Arranging our itinerary on a daily basis, giving feedback and leading her brood every day, she was a wonderful leader to our mixed brood of mainly older visitors. The motel accommodation was great, the places we visited were interesting ( always with a knowledgeable local ) and the free time allowed us to go off and do our own thing separately.   Almost excellent. Itinerary, guide, coach and driver were all fist class.The only let down was the last hotel in Venice. The Gigli. Everything about the hotel was poor. The lack of room in reception. The tiny elevators. The wait service was not friendly or accommodating at all.Show more

  The experience overall was very organized. The hotels were okay although the beds were uncomfortable. The tour had too many optional experiences and if you didn’t pay for them then you would be left without doing much. I wish the majority of the tours were included in the package.Show more

  We recently took a guided tour in Europe, and I must express my disappointment. The tour was quite expensive, yet it fell short of expectations in several key areas. Firstly, the hotel choices were very poor. We were placed in hotels that were far from the quality we anticipated. This significantly impacted our overall experience. Additionally, the tour package offered no inclusion. Almost everything came at an extra cost, from meals to entrance fees at attractions, which were extremely high- often doubled the price of similar guided tours offered by tourist attraction places. Some attractions that were free of charge were being charged 45 euros for each person, which felt like a rip- off. We had hoped for a more comprehensive experience, especially given the high price tag. Unfortunately, this tour did not deliver. I would not recommend it to others looking for value and quality in their travel experience.Show more

  As our "first" time in Italy, was wonderful. Very full on and very busy. Rome was fabulous, and the accommodations were good. Cannot say the same for the accommodation in Florence, that was not so good, and very average food on offer. The accommodation and meals in Venice were very good. We were disappointed that our tour did not include inside of the Colosseum in Rome. Loved seeing Pisa and the Italian history and architecture was all I had imagined. Alas, for us, it was peak holiday period for Italy, and Europe in general, so very crowded & busy in all destinations. Venice was and is a very special and enchanting city, and the Murano glass facility was a wonderful bonus. We found the "optional" additional tours can really add quite an extra cost factor to the tour, but should have taken some time to do that math & research prior to the trip, and we struggled a bit with the "tipping fee" at the end of the trip for our guide & driver. (we do not normally "tip" in Australia, so found it a bit of an added extra) Our tour guide, Alessia Crosti, was absolutely wonderful and a delightful lady, and most informative, along with her back up guides, and Guiseppe, our tour bus driver, was fabulous also. Overall it was wonderful, and thank you.Show more

We are thrilled to read that your Travel Director and Coach Driver provided you with exceptional and personalised service throughout your trip to Italy. We are sorry to read that certain aspects of your itinerary did not meet your expectations, mainly the hotel in Florence and the entrance to the Colosseum; however, given the popularity of travel and the limited number of tickets that are now sold to help preserve the site, it is proving to be incredibly difficult to obtain tickets to this iconic landmark. Should we be unable to procure tickets, we will offer an alternative experience. Your concerns regarding the accommodation will be investigated accordingly to help us make the necessary improvements to our guests' experience. We do apologise that you were not well informed during your booking process; the information regarding gratuities, which is also available on our website as well as the travel documents alongside the detailed itinerary, that gets sent to the provided email address approximately three weeks before your tour starts. Many of our guests enjoy the possibility of showing appreciation to our dedicated team, so we provide the option to pre-pay gratuities or alternatively extend them at the end of the trip. Still, all gratuities do remain voluntary. Nonetheless, we hope you have had a wonderful time in Italy and returned home with many fond memories from your time away.
