- Tan· June 22nd, 2025Just Completed the Mardi Himal Trek with Sherpa Expeditions, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. Despite it being the monsoon season, the trek was absolutely incredible — lush landscapes, refreshing air, and surprisingly clear views on several days! Our guide, Pemba, was outstanding. He was not only knowledgeable and professional but also kind, patient, and very attentive to our needs throughout the journey. He kept the mood positive, shared stories and insights about the region, and always made sure we felt safe and comfortable. One of the biggest surprises was catching some breathtaking views of the mountains, even during this rainy season. On clear days, the scenes were magical — like something out of a dream. The whole experience was well-organized from start to finish, and the support from the Sherpa Expeditions team was top-notch. Thank you to Pemba and the entire team for making this trek so memorable. Highly recommended — rain or shine!Show more

- Chris· June 17th, 2025I recently completed the 7-day Annapurna Base Camp trek with Wongdi Sherpa as our guide, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable adventure. From start to finish, everything was handled professionally and smoothly by the company. Wongdi Sherpa was an exceptional guide—knowledgeable, caring, and incredibly experienced. He made sure we were always safe, comfortable, and well-informed about the local culture, wildlife, and geography. The entire team was extremely friendly, supportive, and motivated throughout the trek, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made the challenging journey much more enjoyable. Their hospitality and positive attitude truly enhanced the whole experience. The company’s organization was top-notch, with great attention to detail in logistics, accommodation, and meals. I felt well taken care of every step of the way. I highly recommend this company and especially Wongdi Sherpa for anyone planning to trek Annapurna Base Camp. Asked on December 2nd, 2025Can solo travellers join a group for this trek? What would the cost? How far in advance can I book? Is it possible to reserve a spot this early, or do I need to wait until closer to the date? What exactly is included in the price (accommodation, meals, permits, guide/Sherpa, porter, domestic flights, equipment, etc.)? What is not included, so I know what additional costs to expect?
Sherpa Expedition & Trekking Pvt. Ltd.Operator•Written December 2025Yes please you can join this trip any date. The total Trip cost USD 2499 per person. You can book a trip 15 days before of trip departure date. (accommodation, meals, permits, guide/Sherpa, porter, domestic flights included). Additional Costs: lunch and dinner in Kathmandu or during the trek extra Food and beverages such as extra food, tea, coffee, hot water, mineral water, desserts, pies, puddings, hot showers, battery charging, Wi-Fi, internet, chocolate, and any kind of hot or cold drinks are not included in the package. For these additional items, we recommend bringing at least 35,000 to 40,000 Nepali Rupees per person (approximately 250 USD). Tipping for guides and porters is a cultural practice and is not included in the package. The recommended Normal tip is $210 for the guide and $180 for the porter, but this can vary based on your satisfaction with their service.

Traveler•Written December 2025If I book specific dates and no other trekkers end up booking onto those same dates, what would happen in that situation? Would the trip still go ahead at the same price? Would I need to pay an additional cost to make it a private trek? Or would I be moved onto another group with different dates? Could you please let me know what equipment I would need to bring myself (for example: boots, daypack, clothing layers, personal gear, etc.), so I can plan properly? From my research, I've read that on the Three High Passes trek there can sometimes be optional day hikes or side trips along the route. Is this something your itinerary allows? Are these decided in advance or as the trek is underway? What happens if some people in the group want to do an optional trip and others don't? Are these optional activities at an additional cost? Could you also confirm what transport is included as part of the trek? Finally, could you provide a bit more detail on health and safety during the trek, particularly around altitude acclimatisation and altitude sickness?
Sherpa Expedition & Trekking Pvt. Ltd.Operator•Written December 2025We have daily availability, so you may choose any date that is most convenient for you. Your selected trip date is 100% guaranteed to depart, and the trip will operate as scheduled on that same day. Yes, the trip will proceed at the same price. If you prefer to join a group, there is no additional cost—even if no other group members join on that day. We do not change the trip date, and the departure will take place as planned. Along the route, you may include optional side trips based on your comfort and interest. If you wish to make any changes to the plan, you can discuss them directly with your guide during the trip. The guide will manage and assist you accordingly. Airport pickup and drop-off services are included, as well as round-trip flights from Kathmandu to Lukla and back to Kathmandu. Regarding altitude acclimatisation, our itinerary is carefully designed to allow gradual ascent, giving your body enough time to adapt to higher elevations. We include proper acclimatisation days and maintain a steady walking pace throughout the trek. Our guides are trained to monitor trekkers closely for any signs of altitude sickness. Our guides are experienced and certified in first aid and altitude awareness. They regularly check your condition, including general health, symptoms, and comfort level. If anyone experiences symptoms such as headache, dizziness, nausea, or fatigue, the guide will take immediate action, which may include rest, slowing the pace, or descending to a lower altitude if necessary. Oxygen is available at teahouses along the trekking route if required. In the event of a medical emergency, we will immediately arrange a helicopter evacuation. The cost of helicopter rescue and medical evacuation would be covered by your travel insurance, so we strongly recommend having comprehensive insurance that includes high-altitude trekking and emergency evacuation.
