Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival
Your driver and guide meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. You'll check in and have time to rest after traveling.
- Day 2
Bir El-Haj
A private 4WD vehicle takes you 250 km out to Bir El-Haj, the desert entrance. There you'll meet the camel drivers and set up your first camp in the remote desert. You'll start a wood fire and help prepare dinner in the Bedouin style before your first night sleeping under the stars.

Landmarks Bir El-Haj - Day 3
Hdif El Boum
The sunrise brings breakfast cooked over the fire, including sand loaf. Then you begin the camel trek, walking through the dunes at your own pace for about 2 to 3 hours. Your dromedary is there if you need a rest. After lunch in mid-afternoon, you'll walk another 2 hours as the sun goes down, then camp for the night listening to the camel drivers sing.

Landmarks Hdif El Boum - Day 4
El Biben
Another dawn breakfast prepared by the camel drivers by the fire. You'll follow the caravan's rhythm throughout the day, stopping for a light lunch before reaching El Biben. At camp, you can help gather wood and learn basic cooking techniques from the camel drivers before dinner.

Landmarks El Biben - Day 5
Zmela Camp
Sunrise breakfast on the dunes, then the caravan moves at a faster pace to reach Zmela Camp. This camp sits beautifully between sand dunes, and you'll have time for a shower. After dinner, you'll spend the evening enjoying the Sahara atmosphere.

Landmarks Zmela - Day 6
Matmata
After breakfast, you leave the camel drivers and switch to a 4WD vehicle. Stop at Ksar Ghilane oasis to spend time among palm trees and swim in the hot spring. Then visit the troglodyte village of Matmata with a photo stop at Tamazret. You'll stay in a Matmata home where locals welcome you with tea and honey, share a traditional midday meal, then travel back to your departure city (Djerba, Tunis, or Tozeur).
