  My friend and I (both 26 year old females) are looking to do a trip down the east coast Sydney-Cairns. We both don't drink/party so we're hoping for a more social but not a party group closer in age to ourselves. We are currently looking at a May start date. Could you advise whether your groups would be suitable and if you can the demographic for dates in May. We also were interested in private room options (or smaller female only) if available. Could you advise how much extra this would be.

    Our tours are targeted towards 18-35 year olds so there is often a mix of people in their mid-late 20s. If you were looking for a 5 week private room upgrade (twin room) it would be an extra $2,750.00. We don't offer female only dorms unfortunately.

    I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling nervous, although this is really normal & everyone feels this way before coming out. As soon as you meet your group you will feel so much better as everyone else is in the same boat and also solo travelling. There are 10 other people from the UK & 7 of which are female joining you on the Coast. Your group leader will add your group into a WhatsApp chat when you arrive. They will be on hand to answer an questions & help settle any nerves when you get here.

    Some people will arrive a day or two early to beat jet-lag before the tour begins. But for the rest of the tour, everyone travels together.

    There are actually 23 year olds on both of those dates (female also). At the moment we have more booked on the 9th October date so this one may suit you best.

    We have space on both dates. On remaining days, meals are flexible - people can cook together in hostels or go out. Only transfer included is from Sydney airport to starting accommodation. For free days, use public transport with group leader's advice.

    Unfortunately our tours are only for 18-35 year olds. We can't accept anyone older onto our group tours.

  I would like to ask if the shared dormitory rooms are separated by gender. If not, is it possible to book a private room for an additional fee? If so, could you please let me know how much the surcharge would be?

    The standard hostel rooms will be mixed. However, you can upgrade to private twin rooms for an extra $2750 AUD Per person.

  Tours that run over Xmas and New years, do they carry on through or is there a break over the Xmas period if activities are shut?

    We have a small break over Xmas for tours departing but all tours which are already underway carry on right through the festive season. Our 5 Week Tour departing on Monday 15th December is one of the last to depart for Xmas.

    Hostels during the trip are: Byron - Wakeup, Surfers - Bunk, Brisbane - Bunk, Noosa - Flashpackers, Rainbow - Freedom Rainbow Beach, Airlie - Nomads, Maggie - Base Magnetic Island, Mission - Mission Beach Resort, Cairns - Gilligans. Group leader will give activity pricing details on first tour day. Vegetarian options are available for included meals. You can join our Facebook group and group chat will be created on first tour day.
