Itinerary
- Day 1
Nairobi to Maasai Mara
You'll leave Nairobi early and drive toward Maasai Mara Reserve, making a stop at the Great Valley Viewpoint to take in the landscape before continuing on. By lunchtime you'll be at camp and can settle in a bit. After lunch, it's straight out on your first game drive where you'll be looking for the Big Five and other plains wildlife. Dinner happens back at camp, and then you'll have your first night to get used to your surroundings.

Maasai Mara
This is a full day in Maasai Mara's grasslands. You'll see massive herds of wildebeest making their migration from Tanzania's Serengeti, head to the Mara River to look for hippos, and spend time doing game viewing across the plains. If it appeals to you, there's an option to visit a nearby Maasai village and learn about their way of life and traditions. It's a long day of wildlife watching, so you'll want to pace yourself.

Maasai Mara to Nairobi
After breakfast, you'll pack up and leave Maasai Mara. The drive back includes a picnic lunch stop at Mai Mahiu, and you should arrive back in Nairobi by late afternoon. It gives you time to rest up after a couple of active days or grab dinner in the city if you're not too tired from the journey.
