Kathmandu to Soti Khola
Your journey starts with a 9-hour drive from Kathmandu heading into Nepal's hill country toward Soti Khola. The road winds through scenic valleys and terraced farmland as you gradually gain elevation. Once you arrive at the teahouse, you'll have time to settle in, grab dinner, and rest up before starting the trek tomorrow.

Landmarks Kathmandu - Day 2
Soti Khola to Mancha Khola
This morning you'll head out on foot from Soti Khola, trekking toward Mancha Khola through rolling hills covered with rhododendron forests and local villages. The 6-hour walk takes you steadily upward, and you'll pass through several small settlements along the way. By evening you'll reach Mancha Khola and check into your teahouse for the night.

Mancha Khola to Jagat
From Mancha Khola, the trek to Jagat takes about 7 hours as you continue ascending through the foothills. The path winds through forests and past traditional Nepali farmland, with views opening up as you climb higher. You'll arrive in Jagat by late afternoon and stay overnight at the local teahouse.

Jagat to Deng
Today's 6-hour trek from Jagat to Deng brings you to higher elevation. The terrain gets steeper and the air thinner as you make your way up the mountainside. The teahouse in Deng will be your base for the night as your body continues acclimatizing to the altitude.

Deng to Namrung
The 6-hour push from Deng to Namrung marks significant altitude gain as you head deeper into the mountain terrain. The landscape becomes more sparse and rocky with each hour of walking. After reaching Namrung, you'll settle in at the teahouse and prepare for the next stage of your climb.

Namrung to Lho
A shorter 4-hour trek from Namrung takes you to Lho at an even higher elevation. The thinner air and cooler temperatures become more noticeable, but the views expand considerably. You'll arrive with plenty of daylight remaining to rest at the Lho teahouse and acclimate.

Lho to Sama Gaun
From Lho, the 4-hour trek to Sama Gaun continues your ascent into the higher mountains. The path becomes more rugged and the vegetation sparser as you climb. Late in the afternoon you'll arrive at Sama Gaun, where you'll spend the night preparing for your acclimatization day tomorrow.

Rest Day in Sama Gaun
Today is a rest day in Sama Gaun, and you'll want to use it wisely. Spend your time at the teahouse relaxing, hydrating, and letting your body adjust to the altitude. Short walks around the village are fine if you're feeling good, but mainly focus on resting and eating well to prepare for the more challenging sections ahead.

Sama Gaun to Samdo
The 4-hour trek from Sama Gaun to Samdo takes you to very high altitude now. The landscape is sparse and dramatic, and the air is noticeably thin. After reaching Samdo, you'll rest at the teahouse and continue acclimatizing to the elevation before tomorrow's trek.

Samdo to Dharmasala
From Samdo, the 4-hour trek to Dharmasala offers slight descent and a more manageable altitude for a bit. The path descends gradually, which gives your body a welcome break from constant climbing. You'll arrive at Dharmasala's teahouse by afternoon and prepare for the challenging pass crossing tomorrow.

Dharmasala to Larkyala Pass to Bimtang
This is your longest day on the trek at about 9 hours. You'll tackle the challenging Larkyala Pass at high altitude, which demands careful pacing and focus. After crossing the pass, you'll descend into Bimtang. By evening you'll be tired but relieved to have completed this difficult section and reach the teahouse.

Landmarks Larkyala Pass - Day 12
Bimtang to Dharapani
The 7-hour trek from Bimtang to Dharapani brings you down to lower elevations as you start your descent out of the high mountains. The air becomes thicker and breathing easier with each hour of descent. You'll arrive at Dharapani's teahouse by late afternoon, noticing the vegetation and temperature changes.

Dharapani to Beshisahar
Today you'll trade trekking for a 6-hour group jeep ride from Dharapani to Beshisahar. The vehicle winds down through increasingly populated areas as you lose elevation. Later this evening you'll check into your teahouse in Beshisahar and prepare for the final drive back to Kathmandu tomorrow.
- Day 14
Beshisahar to Kathmandu
Your final day involves a 7-hour drive from Beshisahar back to Kathmandu, completing your mountain adventure. As you descend toward the capital, you'll pass through farmland and towns, watching the landscape transform back to the bustling city environment. You'll arrive in Kathmandu by evening, finishing your trek journey.
