  What type of lodging is used. Is it cabins or tents?

    Accommodation will be participation camping for 5 nights. This means you will help set up and break down the camp site and help with meal preparation. Please be aware that American campgrounds have various sites available and because of this there will likely be RVs, camper-trailers, popups and tent camping all on one property. All camping equipment (with the exception of your sleeping bag and pillow) is supplied, including comfortable camp mattresses. We supply dome tents that take only 5 minutes to assemble/disassemble. They are good quality, durable, industry-standard, oversized 2-person tents, each with 2 separate and convenient zip-up doors, so that each person has his/her own entrance.

  I am looking at your Yellowstone camping trip. My question regards the accommodations. It looks like you have people staying at the Madison arm resort. Would we be sleeping in tents? If so, are we talking two-person tents sleeping on the ground? Bigger tents with cots?

    Yes, camping is part of the stay. All camping equipment is provided, with the exception of your sleeping bag and pillow, and includes comfortable camp mattresses. The tents are good-quality, oversized two-person dome tents that take about five minutes to assemble or disassemble. Each tent has two separate zip-up doors, giving each person their own entrance for added convenience.

    You will be camping all nights on the tour they do have restroom facilities. We are unable to share photos on this platform. You can look up the accommodations yourself as all the campsites have their own websites.

    I just would like to be sure that I must take a sleeping bag for these 5 nights in Madison camp and Snake River cabins. It's take a lot of room in my backpack as I will travel 2 months and won't use it anywhere else. I thought it would be possible to rent or buy one once in place.

    There is no option to hire sleeping bags through ourselves in destination unfortunately, you can potentially do it locally upon arrival with a company or provider not affiliated with ourselves. Otherwise, you would need to bring your own.

  I am not an experienced hiker are there options for days that include hikes of three plus miles?

    The itinerary mentioned setting of camp but then accommodations list medicine arms and Snake River RV. Understanding that that can change are we sleeping in tents or cabins/motels/hotels?; if booked would you include a packing list of anything you may need or could we mail things (amazon) to the first hotel that we would need during the trip?

    This tour is one of our 'Active' styles of tours. The physical rating is 3 out of 5. It is designed for those who like to be active and hike as well as whitewater raft and other activities. We also offer tours that are not active and are under 'Classic' style. If you do not want to hike or do activity daily we recommend one of these tours.

    There are no flights that get me in the same day as the tour, I would have to come the day before. Can you help with booking/recommending accomodations or what area should I stay in to be near where the welcome meeting will be?

    The start of the trip is 8am at the Elk Country Inn, so you could try booking a room there for the night before. There are a few other hotels within walking distance as well. Unfortunately we do not have any access to pre tour hotel accommodations for this trip.
