Asked on November 3rd, 2025Is insurance compulsory for this trip? If so, what type of insurance is required? There is a discrepancy between the information your website and your brochure: is the Kathmandu city tour at the start or the end of the tour?

Normally accidental (injury), emergency rescue by helicopter insurance are recommended. Sightseeing tours can be adjusted in beginning or end of tour as per time availability depending on your flights.

I am a British National (Overseas) passport holder, would like to know if need to apply for a visa upon this trip. And I want to know how much does it cost for tipping the tour guide and the porter in general for this trip?

Yes, you need to apply for tourist visa. Which you can do upon arrival at Kathmandu and apply for upon arrival visa. You need to carry original passport with minimum 6 month validity and visa fee (US$ 40). Regarding tipping you may estimate US$ 5 per person per day however there is no such hard and fast rule. It depends on your satisfaction with their services.

And will there be any transfer service to the airport on Day 11 (Final departure day)? Does the pick-up and transfer service included in the package price?

Traveler•Written February 2024In terms of the tipping, may I know how many persons do I need to tip for? Generally speaking for this tour would be the tour guide, driver and porter. Apart from the travel visa which I have to apply upon arrival, may I know if there are any other permits that need to be applied for the trekking? If yes, would your organization be arranging on my behalf? In terms of the luggage and packing, may I know if your company will provide a duffel bag for me to pack my gear and belongings for the trekking (which this will be carried by the porter)? And would that be possible if I could leave my main luggage at the hotel at Kathmandu on Day 1 and retrieve it back when returning back to the hotel after the trekking?

Tipping depends totally on you (how much and to whom) depending upon your satisfaction from their service. However tipping is expected. If you want to tip they would be driver, trek guide mainly. We need to apply for trekking permits which we will take care of. Yes we provide duffel bag, porter is not included in this trek, if you want we can arrange at extra cost. Yes you can leave extra luggage at Kathmandu or Pokhara and retrieve back upon return.
