We have 2 people for this trek who already made a booking for 3rd Aug.

Is the special permit fee of US$50 per day included in the quoted trek cost?

Yes, the permit fee is USD 50 per day. The permit entry point is Kagbrni and ending also Kagbeni. Please note that to enter Upper Mustang, and to obtain the permit to do so, there must be a group of at least two (2) trekkers. However, if you are alone and determined to go but cannot find another person or group who are travelling at the same time, a ghost RAP permit can be issued in another name. For this, the solo trekker will have to pay an additional $500, thus, $1,000 in total. This is the only way to enter the forbidden kingdom alone (with a guide of course!).

I am interested in trekking Upper Mustang in March/April. I was wondering what the covid 19 measures are at the moment in Nepal for travellers from the Netherlands.

You need to have the PCR Negative Coronavirus report and vaccine certificate along with you to enter Kathmandu. So that you can enter in Nepal. There is no quarantine.

He was not only knowledgeable and professional but also kind, patient, and very attentive to our needs throughout the journey. He kept the mood positive, shared stories and insights about the region, and always made sure we felt safe and comfortable. One of the biggest surprises was catching some breathtaking views of the mountains, even during this rainy season. On clear days, the scenes were magical — like something out of a dream. - For any tour departing before May 2nd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 2nd, 2026, a minimum payment of 60% is required to confirm your booking with Sherpa Expedition & Trekking Pvt. Ltd.. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
