  Bassoo ,our guide, was thoroughly competent as a mountain leader and indeed could not have been more helpful but was handicapped by the lack of a clear procedure to go off when weather conditions are bad at Lukla airport.. There seemed no good reason why we should have had to pay extra money for porters or the drivers for the journey back (or even for board and lodge costs as the itinerary stated these were free up to day 12). With many other disconsolate hikers we spent too much time waiting around the airport for information or rather lack of it...After all, mist at Lukla airport must hardly be an exceptional occurrence and so the company needs a clear policy to go off for when it occurs. i.e. Tell clients the choices involved such as the amount the helicopter alternative properly costs and how horrible and long the walk and jeep journey can be. Advise them to contact their insurance companies or look at their holiday insurance policies. Kind regards to everyone.It was still a wonderful experience of a lifetime.Show more

  This tour was excellently arranged. The pick up from the airport was seamless and staff were friendly from the start. I had loads of questions which were gladly answered by Ganga while we made our way to the hotel. In the hotel we were thoroughly and shown to our quality rooms. It was clear throughout the trip that the money spent went towards higher quality accommodation including tea houses throughout the trip - this was an important factor!! (Don't get me wrong it can be a bit rough if you're not used to it or know what to expect but having the best tea house in the village seriously makes a difference). The staff made a great effort to ensure we flew from Kathmandu, meaning a later wake up. Despite best efforts, the flight home was to Ramachap meaning we had a long mini bus ride home. However, on the way we stopped and some great food. As for the trekking itself, it was a manageable for a novice walker of reasonable health and fitness; for those curious, the pace was slow and manageable. So much so if you wanted to take photos you could walk ahead 15 m without delaying the group. However, our guides were keen to give plenty of opportunity for this anyway. Speaking of whom, the guides were truly wonderful people who were very friendly and great company throughout. They joined in on our fun and made everyday that much more enjoyable. Beyond this, the guides were responsible for booking accommodation and arranging dinner stops. Having this thinking taken out of the trip is a huge relief and worth every penny. The foods are out was far better than expected and I highly recommend the Dal Baht as it comes with free refills. Pack plenty of layers, wet wipes and take some sugary snacks. Don't forget to tip generously - It's hard work for these guys and likely their only source of income. A final note to say thank you to Tek and Prakash for being brilliant guides to our group. They're truly lovely people to have been on such an awesome journey with. Although there was some difficulties at the end with flights home, both of them worked endlessly to see us home safely. I'm forever grateful for their efforts and their company, and sincerely hope their dedication and hard work is recognised by the company! Namaste MattShow more

  Adventure of my life. I can't fault anything. Best organisation, tour guides and porters. Everyone was treated with respect,both participants and the Team. We had good food with the hot drink served everyday, accommodation booked. Nobody was left during the trek. Good tempo of trek, adjusted to all.Show more

  We had an amazing time doing EBC with our guide Netra. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and the best guide we could have asked for. Everything was well organised, it included down jackets, duffel bags and sleeping bags, all food and a porter. It was the best value trip we saw and we are so happy we chose them.Show more

  Raj, our guide was tremendous. He is so patient, knowledgeable, and personable. I enjoyed spending time with him, learning about the local culture and mountain surroundings. He is so attentive and made the trip so much better with his calming demeanor. He is quick to answer questions and super responsive, and which helps put you at ease as you plan your adventure.
