- CChristine· March 7th, 2019A trip of a lifetime and a dream come true for me. Fabulous organization by Debra and Nomadic Adventures as well as the team in Kathmandu, who took care of all needs from the first day of planning the trip. Debra has the experience and knowledge to arrange the perfect trip. It’s the only way to travel.Show moreNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewChristine was a lovely review of the tour. - SSandraLaBella· March 2nd, 2019This was one of the highlights of my trekking. We landed in Lukla and then instead of walking straight to Everest base camp we took a turn via the Gotka lakes. WOW!!! what incredible beauty. I cannot begin to describe how incredibly beautiful and blue these 5 Glacier lakes are. A very early morning wake up to watch the sun rising over the lake is an absolute must. The sacred ducks tell there own story and beauty as they glide across these frozen lakes. A walk the next day to lake four (never got to lake 5) shows how each lake becomes more frozen that the precious. The usual Yaks and trekkers walk the paths adding to the mystery and beauty. The walk toward base camp then took us over the Choala pass (definitely not for sissies) however absolutely spectacular and well worth effort. The incredible beauty as you climb up a Rocky face and then down the south slope of glaciers and snow. The trek from there to Everest Base camp with mystical with so many different terrains and views. The little town you walk through each bringing there own atmosphere, one thing for sure is the excitement along the paths as I joined with the path from Lukla coming up to Base camp. All the chatting and photos, the many yaks Kaiden with food, tents, clothes and gas bottles going up to base camp. Of course the continue sound of cow bells around the Yaks neck is something you miss once you leave the Himalayas. As you get closer the glazier get closer to you and the magnitude and colors of them is something you have to see. No words or pictures can describe the beauty. The day you head up to every basebis extremely exciting. From a distance you see the thousands of tents and more activities as you head to your final destination. Once there you quickly decide that no amount of photos and footage of Everest base camp actually describe to feeling of being there and the sights. Massive pieces of solid ice, huge deep crevices, A mountain it prayer flags around the official point of “you have made it). Across the way the incredible ice falls that you would climb if you were going up Everest. You want to staff forever, however after a piece of chocolate (frozen) and a number of photos (to prove you made it) you head back feeling so proud of yourself and definitely in awe of the base of Everest. A trip I will never forget and will one day return to.Show moreNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewSandra what an amazing description. You certaily captured the beauty, majesty, calmness and essense of what this trek is all about. Thanks for taking the time to give others a great desciption of the journey.Trip date: March 2015

She gave plenty of support before and during the trip to family back home. I definitely recommend Nomadic adventures to anyone who is looking for an adventure but doesn't know where to start!Show moreNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewThank you. - DDesJacobs· February 18th, 2019One of the photographic highlights of life. Nepal is beautiful. The people are very friendly and the food is great. Our guides, Asmit was fantastic and always very helpful. I can definitely recommend this tour.Nomadic Adventures commented on this reviewDes thank you so much and also for sharing some of your truly magical photos.Trip date: October 2017
- MMichaelFillis· February 18th, 2019Khumbu Valley very amazing. A lot of traffic. Excellent portered trek. Kongma La and Island Peak life changing experience but tough!Nomadic Adventures commented on this reviewHi Mike. Thank you - tough seems to work well with you as you certainly seem to love climbing now. It has been our pleasure to host you and look forward to your next one just around the corner.Trip date: March 2017
- KKaren· February 17th, 2019Remember how remote you are on the EBC trek, and how luxuries have to come to be available, and you’ll appreciate tenfold more, the sale of wine or chocolates. Accommodation is basic by our home standards with limited electricity supply. But the rooms are sheltered, wind free and comfortable enough! Food again; great for where you are getting it. I went vegetarian to lower my risk of getting sick. The Nepali people are patient and helpful. Pack good sunscreen as it’s a different kind of exposure there. All our transport was seamless, incl airport to hotel etc. Hotel Annapurna in Thamel in Kathmandu was really amazing, again, considering the environ. Expect delays and chaos at the airport when you leave for Lukla- sit back and observe the goings on and be amused, rather than expecting miracles. The EBC tour is a 3 week soul healer that will allow your mind to wonder but then become still. Prepare for simple and smelly toilets, brace yourself... but it is possible to buy a bucket of warm water to wash in, or even shower. The higher up the mountain the fewer the amenities. If you are prepared for this, you’ll be fine! The guide, our porter and the tour operator were lovely people. Our tour operator took us to a cultural show in Kathmandu, this was a lovely springboard into their culture. Take time to do the city tours!!! Nomadic Adventures was amazing. No detail left unchecked and the proprietor is always a phone call or an email away. We had to plan nothing as she had done it all for us. Amazing organization, time keeping and clearly she has done this for some time! (And several times herself I might add). Thank you for a stellar holiday.Show moreNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewHello Karen. Wow what wonderful words - thank you so much. Good words for future travellersTrip date: February 2018

Wouldn't do such a trip with anyone elseNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewHello Mike. Thanks so much for your lovely review and kind words. - ZZiggieSmit· February 14th, 2019An adventure not to be missed! Extremely well organised by Debra from Nomadic Adventures. Clear communication before the trip gave us peace of mind. We were a group of 16 people and our guide allowed us to walk at our own pace through villages, stopping at tea houses for breathers and sweet tea or butter tea. A brilliant experience which I would do again, albeit a different route.Show moreNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewThanks Ziggie - an adventure indeed. We look forward to taking care of you on your next tripTrip date: September 2015
