Definitely a whirlwind tour of Europe - so much to do, so much to see. If you want a relaxing vacation, this is NOT for you - you will be up most days by 6:30 and walk upwards of 15 Kms per day at times. BUT if you want to see as many fanatastic sights as you can for a budget price, this is the tour for you. We had a great bunch of people on the bus and will definitely stay in touch with many of them. Loved every minute of the sight seeing - some hotels ( Switzerland , IBIS) are 2 star but for the most part ok. Only possible complaint would be lack of time to find quality food for lunch - most days we stopped at truck stops for washroom breaks and meals. I would suggest finding a local supermarket and stocking up on fruits and other nutritious snacks- paninis get old rather fast. Would recommend this for people with no mobility issues and who are easy going and relaxed. If you just enjoy the sights the rest of the trip is easy and will be so much more rewarding! Mark our driver and Shea our guide did an excellent job of navigating us some very crazy European cities. Thanks again....exhausted with a smile on both our faces :)

First off I'd like to say that I wouldn't have taken this long of a tour if I had known that the bathroom on the coach wasn't suppose to be used unless it was an emergency. We made sure that it was for our age group, knowing people in their 60's usually take medications that require frequent morning bathroom visits. It wasn't a problem on the days we had time in our rooms after breakfast but there weren't many of those. Our walking tours were not very helpful as the pace was way to fast to keep up and I don't know if Perci explained what we were looking at or not. I do know that I'm not the only one that felt this way. I think the meals were ok that were included but the breakfasts were a joke. We either had to eat in 5 minutes to be on the bus because there were so many people there was not enough seating or the food was gone. I understand that we had different options for different countries but americans don't eat meat and cheese for breakfast. the breakfast I thought worked out best was the two that were just for Expat people. One was a bag lunch and I didn't care for part of it but at least I could eat at my leisure. another complaint is that the first stop usually wasn't for 2 1/2 hours and that's to long after breakfast if you cant use a toilet. I was appalled that the first person using the bathroom onboard about 2 weeks into the trip was jeered and their picture was taken and the whole bus knew theyd used the toilet. Our daughter came on this trip also and her complaint was that she was a single and had to share with different people and Perci kept giving the same people the room key so they could go to the room and pick first where their stuff should go. many of the hotels gave only 1 room key also and if you aren't with the other person its very inconvenient to chase down the key. On a positive note our driver was safe and friendly and professional. If asked Perci helped you to find the things you wanted to do on your days off since the planned dinners and activities were to late for us. We didn't realize how exhausting it would be to see all these spots in this length of time. we would consider another tour maybe if there was more information before hand and now we know what questions to ask. Overall we were disappointed and will probably plan our own from now on. Nowhere does it say toilets cost money either and this was a big problem the first few days for a lot of people that hadn't gotten their money out of an ATM.

A wonderful experience that gave us an opportunity to visit some of the major cities of Europe. A tour that provided plenty of activity with non stop places to visit.

    4.5 - Excellent

This was a very good tour. I would have given it a 4.5 but couldn't. This tour visits so many destinations and is offered at a competitive price which is great value for money. For the majority of the tour, there is plenty of time to explore the cities and take optional tours. My only negative is the stop in Barcelona was unnecessary and made the final leg of the trip rushed and exhausting. The drive on the coach to/from Barcelona was very long (over 10 hours each way). i personally believe this should be cut so more time can be spent in Avignon, Munich and the Rhine Valley which were quickly glossed over. they are beautiful cities that offer more than Barcelona. Despite this, the tour, the tour guides (shout out to Perci and Sean) were excellent and the optional extras were excellent. Tip for new players, get a 3 mobile sim card in England before you leave to 1. give you a contact mobile number 2. allow you to use google maps to quickly navigate around the cities and 3. avoid getting lost. Enjoy the trip, I highly recommend, it was well worth the money.

What an amazing 26 days we had! Our group of 43 travellers bonded early and well and everyone was friendly and interested in getting to know each other. Our tour leader Laura and driver Sean were two impressive professionals who knew their work and provided plenty of information for us step by step, with no overload of what was happening too far down the track. I feel this was so helpful in assisting us to relax and trust that they had all in hand. Laura often said 'this is your holiday, let me do the work'. The itinerary was full on, but manageable with (mostly) 2 night or 3 night stays, with some 1 nighters. We saw so much of Europe and this has given us the confidence to return to areas we would like to spend more time in, and to also avoid those places we feel we have seen sufficiently. This itinerary has been carefully designed to maximise the number of cities and countries visited. Well done Expat Explore!
