Over the 15-day trek, our group of three forged lasting friendships with our guide, Achut Pandey, and porters who went the extra mile in everything they did to make our journey culturally rewarding and successful. While not for the faint-of-heart, this route offered views of the Himalayas, cultural experiences and mental and physical challenges that can't be found on the more heavily trafficked routes to Everest Base Camp. We were the only people on the trail for most of the trek. Nepal Social Trek and Expedition, Basu Panday, and Woodapple Hotel and Spa handled the organization and details of our trek flawlessly, including two days of touring in Kathmandu. If due to weather conditions flight is canceled we will wait day after tomorrow or choose the alternative option helicopters ride to Kathmandu to lukla. During the trekking breakfasts, lunch and dinner is included.
