His 18 years of experience showed in every decision, from navigating the roads and parks to understanding the rhythm of safari travel. Zack knows Kenya inside and out, and we immediately felt we were in the best possible hands. What impressed us most was the respect Zack has earned throughout Kenya. Fellow guides, park staff and even police officers greeted him with genuine enthusiasm and were always happy to see and speak to him, other guides regularly contacted him to share wildlife sightings. That kind of trust and recognition speaks volumes about his character, professionalism and standing in the local community. Zack’s wildlife knowledge is extraordinary. With what seemed like binoculars for eyes, he spotted animals long before we could, identified their behavior and positioned us perfectly for unforgettable views, always while respecting the animals and their environment. Thanks to his expertise and patience, we saw every species we had been told might be difficult to find, often more than once. He also seemed to have a remarkable talent for anticipating exactly what we wanted to see next. Whenever we discussed our hopes in Dutch, Zack would soon suggest the same animal or experience. I’m still not completely convinced he doesn’t understand Dutch! Punctual, attentive, cheerful and exceptionally knowledgeable, Zack made every moment of our safari feel safe, seamless and unforgettable.
