  This is more of an observation report. This would not necessarily be the views of "spoiled" US citizens. When I say "spoiled ", I mean we love our creature comforts that you may not have when going out of the states. First, with limited flights going to Cusco, you are at the mercy of the airlines. LONG layovers. Just be prepared for that going and coming. Hotel check-in times are consistent as most hotels. If you get in early, you will have to hang out until check in. Your hotel may or may not have hot water. This also includes air conditioning. Everywhere you go is up. Alot of walking. Keep in mind the altitude will affect your endurance. You will be navigating mostly all uneven surfaces while walking. Having handicap assessable. These are not complaints. That's just the way it is.Show more

  It felt like a lot of shuffling between "guides." We were dropped off in city square and had no idea how to return to the hotel. Once we received assistance from a nice stranger, realized we were not even within walking distance! It's not a guided tour, it's an "organized" tour with lots of different people involved.Show more

  The tour guides were excellent. The only problem we had was that we arrived in Cuzco and after only 2 hours to acclimate to the altitude a guide had us walk a very long distance uphill to the first tour site. Our itinerary said we would be transported by van, which would have been an easier beginning with less altitude problems.Show more
