- Day 1
Lima Arrival & City Tour

Leave at 4 AM for Rainbow Mountain. This is a tough hike starting at 14,000ft and going up to 16,400ft. "The altitude really hits you - having coca leaves and renting a horse for 80 soles saved our hike." Plan for 2-3 hours walking each way. You'll be back in Cusco by late afternoon. Pack warm clothes as mornings can be freezing.

Spend your last morning in Cusco before flying back to Lima. Schedule international flights after 7 PM to account for possible delays. Most hotels will hold your luggage if you have a late departure.
