Dear Michelle Thank you for taking the time to share your experience , we truly appreciate it, and we are very sorry that parts of your journey did not meet your expectations. We sincerely regret that you felt unsupported at times. Please know that this is not the experience we want for any of our travelers, especially for someone traveling solo. Your comfort and sense of safety are very important to us. We would also like to let you know that the guides who accompanied you, as well as the agent who assisted you during your trip, are currently being carefully evaluated. We are addressing your feedback internally to improve communication, coordination, and overall support. We are always working to provide a better experience, and your comments truly help us do so. Regarding the breakfasts, we completely understand your concern. According to the itinerary, only two days have very early departures, during which breakfast is arranged at a local restaurant, since hotel schedules do not align with early pick-up times. For this reason, we are not entirely sure why three breakfasts were missed, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are currently reviewing this with our team to better understand what happened and ensure this is improved moving forward. We are genuinely sorry for the moments in which you felt uncomfortable or isolated. Your experience matters deeply to us, and we truly wish it had been as smooth and enjoyable as it should have been. Thank you again for your honesty and for giving us the opportunity to improve. We truly hope to have the chance to welcome you again in the future and provide you with the experience you deserve. Warm regards, Martita Customer Service

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2026

Yes, of course — we would be happy to extend your trip by adding additional nights in Cusco, including hotel accommodation.

The extension will allow you to explore more at a relaxed pace, or organize a beautiful trip to Lake Titicaca, where you can visit the floating Uros Islands and experience the local culture.

Please let me know how many extra days you would like to add, and I will gladly send you the available options with accommodation included.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2026

Traveling with children aged 10 and 8 years old is absolutely doable on this itinerary, and many families truly enjoy this experience together.

The Inca Adventures – 7 Days (Lima, Paracas, Ica, Cusco, Machu Picchu & Rainbow Mountain) tour is a beautiful combination of culture, adventure, and nature.

Lima, Paracas & Ica - These destinations are very enjoyable for children — the boat excursion in Paracas and the sand dunes in Huacachina are usually highlights for families.

Cusco & Machu Picchu - Children of 8 and 10 years old generally adapt well to the altitude with proper acclimatization (we always recommend taking it easy the first day, staying hydrated, and resting well). Machu Picchu is absolutely suitable for children and often becomes an unforgettable educational experience.

Day 6 – Hiking Activity (Rainbow Mountain) - This is the most physically demanding day due to the altitude. However, we can absolutely adjust this for your family's comfort.

Instead of the hiking activity, we can offer:

      • An ATV (quad bike) tour, which is adventurous and very fun for children.
      • Or a cultural visit to Pisac and Awanakancha, where the children can see and interact with llamas and learn about traditional Andean weaving.

Both alternatives are fantastic family-friendly options and much less physically demanding.

What is the price for upgrading to a 4-star hotel?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2026

If you are interested in upgrading your accommodation, we can offer the following 4-star hotel options:

      • Lima: Dazzler by Wyndham
      • Cusco: Union Boutique Hotel or similar
      • Aguas Calientes: Jaya Machu Picchu Hotel

The additional cost for this upgrade is USD 350 per person, payable in cash in Peru.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2026

Yes, it is possible to book your international flight to New York departing from Lima at 12:00 noon. In that case, we would arrange the earliest morning flight from Cusco to Lima to ensure you arrive on time for your international boarding.

The first flights from Cusco to Lima usually depart between 6:00 am and 7:00 am, arriving approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes later. This would give you sufficient time to collect your luggage and proceed to your international check-in.

We always recommend allowing at least 3 hours before your international flight departure, so taking the first available flight would be the best option in this case.

Can you pick us up from Lima at 1:00 our flight arrives at 1240 PM 5/13/26 in Lima?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2026

Yes, we will be happy to pick you up upon your arrival in Lima on May 13th at 12:40 PM. A 1:00 PM pickup is perfectly fine, as our representative will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign with your name on it. Everything will be properly arranged for your arrival.

Please note that, due to your arrival time and the airport procedures, you will most likely not have enough time to stop for lunch before the activity.

We recommend having something light at the airport or during the flight, just in case, to ensure you feel comfortable throughout the afternoon.

They mention that to choose the type of ascent of the machu pichu are 90 dollars, but when I am in the area of payment and choosing the option there is 123 dollars?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2026

We recommend booking your international flight for 6:00 p.m. This way, your domestic flight can be scheduled in the afternoon, arriving at least 3 hours before your international departure. This will allow you to complete the check-in process for both flights comfortably and without stress.

Regarding your second question, the mountains Huayna Picchu and Montaña Machu Picchu are completely optional add-ons. The additional cost is USD 90 per person. If you are seeing a different amount, it may be displayed in Canadian dollars depending on your currency settings.

What is the earliest time I should book tickets from Lima to SFO on 28th? Also please confirm that there will be a pickup from the Lima Airport on 21st? One more question-- will there be food available after I land on 21st, considering it is quite late at night?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2026

Our recommendation is to book the Lima–SFO flight departing at 7:00 PM or after that time on 28th. This schedule allows for sufficient time between the local flight and the international connection, without requiring you to start the day very early. Yes, airport pickup will be arranged on the 21st. We will have transportation waiting for you at Lima Airport for the Delta flight landing at 10:10 PM local time.

I have a question regarding the hike to the top of Machu Pichu. Does the itinerary takes me to the top? If it is not can I take a bus ride to the top and avoid hiking?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2026

Machu Picchu has two different parts: Machu Picchu Mountain / Huayna Picchu (the top hikes) - They can only be reached by walking. Unfortunately, there is no bus available to reach the top. Machu Picchu Citadel (main visit) - Yes, there is a bus from Aguas Calientes to the entrance gate. This means you do not need to hike to reach Machu Picchu itself. Bus available to Machu Picchu entrance (citadel). No bus to the top mountains (only hiking access).

To confirm. The bus will take me to the top of the mountain near Sacred Plaza. Then I take a short walk to the Sacred Plaza. Next question-- does the tour includes the bus ride up to the Sacred Plaza?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2026

The bus will take you from Aguas Calientes up to the entrance of Machu Picchu (main gate), not directly to the Sacred Plaza. From the entrance, you will begin your guided visit following the designated circuit, which includes walking through the site and eventually reaching areas such as the Sacred Plaza, depending on your circuit. Yes, your tour does include the round-trip bus tickets (Aguas Calientes ⇄ Machu Picchu entrance).

we will still need the transportation from the airport to the hotel, and the assigned hotel from the package, so not sure if you can just adjust the price for the missing tour, or change it for the food or earlier check in, because their fligth will arrive at 1pm and check in is until 3pm

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2026

I am interested in your 7 day Inca Adventure Tour from Jan 17/18. I will be travelling from Australia, likely solo. I was wondering if you have any indication what the group size would be for this trip? Additionally, flight times look like they land in Lima at 3:30pm, however I see you recommend arriving before noon. I am hoping I can find an alternate flight times, however if not, would this be suitable?
