Additionally, he was quite pushy with the tips. I do not recommend tipping in advance since we ended up tipping along the trip anyways (the guides were not included). At arrival in hotel a very aggressive and arrogant representative of the company , Mohamed , 'greeted' me and due to his behaviour I almost cancelled the tour. Arrival went well, with prompt pickup at airport, all drivers and representatives were helpful and courteous. We were met at the Gewan Hotel (very nice) by Mohamed Sayad who went over the week of tours that were scheduled for the week. He answered all of our questions and explained everything thoroughly. Mohamed was there at the hotel for every departure and returned to make sure we were taken care of. We arrived a day early and Mohamed set us up on a private tour to several sights we were interested in seeing with a young man named Abdoul, who also was our guide for the 1st day of our scheduled tour. The 2 days with Abdoul were very informative and leisurely, where he was able to answer our questions. Mohamed saw us off the next day to Luxor, where we met Ahmed Elkallaf who would be our guide on the cruise. Ahmed is very knowledgeable with great knowledgeable and has wonderful personality. He went above and beyond to see that our group was on schedule and had everything we needed. 4 days of keeping our group “in line” and on time seemed easy for Ahmed. We did have a A/C issue on our tour van 1 of the days, and Ahmed handled it with great professionalism. Well done! The last day took us to a few more pyramids in Cairo and finished with lunch, of which Faby, our final guide, was always helpful and working to go the “extra mile”. All ground transportation and flights were easy and never confusing. I commend the entire team on a job well done.Show more

We really enjoyed this tour. It was a good mix of ‘going and seeing’ with a few hours of resting on the boat. (The pyramid tour with the GEM museum takes most of the day.) You can choose a camel ride if you want, or not. No pressure. The team guided us to airport for flight to Luxor, then Aswan back to Cairo. We were met at the airport by our guide. All was easy and they took care of everything. The Nile Cruise was good and the crew went out of their way to make you comfortable. Go to Able Simbel. We almost opted out, so glad we didn’t. Safety is their number one concern, I never felt unsafe! A word to Americans, go to the bank to get newer, perfect USD’s. Some places would not take our money because the bill was old, had tiny writing on it, or tiny ink blot—things you will not even notice. They say banks will not take it???Show more
