The organization is great - from the moment you land till the moment you leave, Beyond the Nile Tours is there every step of the way, organizing everything in a timely manner. Within one week you manage to see all of the main historical sites! As you can expect, this requires early mornings and long days - so please be prepared mentally. In my opinion it’s a once in a lifetime trip that is TOTALLY worth the lack of sleep for a couple of day. The pyramids visit is amazing with a professional Egyptologist guiding you along the way. However, this part of the trip does feel a bit rushed and in my opinion not enough time is spent there. Meanwhile, the cruise down the Nile is hands down the most charming and breath-taking experience. The ship is in good, clean condition and the food is descent. The focal point is each cabin having huge windows opening up to the view of the Nile. During th cruise there was a nice balance between visiting amazing historical suites and relaxing on the suns deck of the ship.THE best part of this experience for us was Ahmed Elkalaff, our tour guide for the entire section of the cruise. He was super well informed, kind, with a great sense of humor, and he truly made the experience unforgettable! Overall I am super happy with this tour agency and the itenary and I will definitely be back to Egypt to explore more!
PS- We went alone as two women and felt safe the entire time. The current geopolitical conflicts are absolutely not of any concern for the area and I highly suggest you do miss out on Egypt for any reason!

Communication was HORRIBLE. People had different schedules and requests to send and updated one were ignored. Hurghada: left to fend for ourselves (eg. later than advertised flight meant WE had to negotiate/pay for late checkout)

Our journey through Egypt (Cairo and Nile Cruise) was absolutely incredible — a trip we will never forget! If you’re considering a guided tour of Egypt, I can’t recommend this experience enough. It’s the perfect mix of culture, history and adventure, and every day felt more exciting than the last.
A huge thank you to our amazing guides Abdul and Ahmed, who truly brought the ancient world to life with their passion, deep knowledge and wonderful storytelling. They made every site feel meaningful and alive.
And a very special mention to our tour manager Mohamed — organised, attentive and genuinely dedicated to making sure everything ran smoothly. This trip truly exceeded our expectations, and their support played a huge part in that.

Everything is good only the flight from Cairo to Aswan is too early and the flight from Luxor to Cairo is too late.

The experience in Egypt was smooth and generally well organized. All pickups were fairly on time, and I felt safe throughout the trip. I was picked up from airport and dropped off at the hotel without any issues.
The hotel in Cairo was in a very convenient location, surrounded by several restaurants, which made dinners easy. I would rate the hotel about 3 out of 5 stars. The main drawback was cleanliness..the room smelled strongly of cigarettes. Instead of changing the room, an air freshener was used, which took a long time to help. Since we stayed only one night, it wasn’t a major inconvenience, but it could certainly be improved.
The tour guides we had both on the first day and during the Nile cruise were decent and knowledgeable. They made a genuine effort to share as much information as possible.
The Nile cruise itself was enjoyable. I would rate it about 3.5 out of 5 stars. The cruise experience was nice, they had a Christmas party that included free drinks, performers on board which was a fun touch. The food overall was just okay..mostly buffet-style and decent, but not exceptional.
Jordan – Flow Travel
In Jordan, we were received by a representative from Flow Travel, who was very helpful and took care of everything from baggage assistance to handing us over to our driver. This was a smooth and positive start.
Our driver stayed with us for the next two to three days and drove us around according to our schedule. We were able to see everything we wanted. He was safe, respectful, and attentive, though he was more of a driver than a tour guide. His English was limited, but he did his best to answer questions. I do wish we had a dedicated tour guide for places like the Dead Sea and Wadi Rum.
The only time we had a professional guide was during our visit to Petra, which made a noticeable difference and was very helpful.
Overall Experience
Overall, I am happy with my experience in both Egypt and Jordan. While there are definitely areas where improvements could be made especially hotel quality in Egypt and having guides in Jordan..the trip was enjoyable and well managed for the most part.
I would recommend Nour Belle Tours and Flow Travel, with the suggestion of a few upgrades to make the experience even better.

What stood out most was his dedication to making sure each person on our tour had a memorable trip.The sites, the accommodations and the backdrop of the Nile made for an unforgettable experience. The down side is that there is a lot to see in a short amount of time, so it is not a leisurely trip. Be prepared to be on the go from the moment you board the cruise. I would do it again in a heartbeat but if you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this is not the right trip for you.

It was short but an excellent trip. Our guide, Ahmed Elkalaff, was very helpful in mitigating the travails of travel in a foreign and hot country. The Nile cruise was an eye opener. The staff were friendly. The food was average, but I guess you could get a higher quality if you booked for a more expensive tour. Overall, it is not bad, not bad at all.

The best feature was the flexibility they provided for optional small group visits to places that were especially important to us (visit to Dahshur and all three Cairo museums), including arranging for guides and drivers for these 1-off visits. The Cairo-based guide Abdou is an archaeologist who provided fantastic insight into the pyramids and Egyptian ancient history. The guide Saladino accompanied us for the boat and the sites from Luxor to Abu Simbel, and he flexibly managed both the sites and the logistics for our group of 30. Our return plane from Aswan to Cairo was scheduled for late evening and Saladino and Beyond the Nile moved heaven and earth to get us all on an earlier flight. The hotel in Cairo was modern and top-end. Our boat was comfortable with spacious cabins. And the logistical master, Harry, made everything work for the diverse needs of our group. All transfers from hotel, airport, sites, and boat were efficient and reliable. It is a busy itinerary, but this is what we wanted so that we could see as much as possible.

The cruise was good, watching the Nile from our cabin was great. We wish the food had been more Egyptian, the one dinner dedicated to local food was easily the best. Set dinner night needed improvement.
A suggestion - it would be helpful to warn us in advance of the the early starts!

We were a group of five people and from the moment we landed in Cairo, Beyond the Nile representative Sadek was waiting for us at the Airport, he helped all of us go through the visa process and immigration and everything went smoothly.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure all our needs were met with a smile. Harry which is in charge of coordinating everything was on point with all the schedules. The boat itself was luxurious, offering beautiful views of the Nile from every angle. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploration.
The excursions were perfectly planned, allowing us to see the best of Egypt’s ancient wonders, including the Pyramids, Luxor Temple, and the Valley of the Kings. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable, providing fascinating insights into the history and culture of the region.
The food onboard was exceptional, with a variety of delicious dishes to suit every taste. Every meal was an experience in itself, with fresh, flavorful ingredients.
I can’t recommend this cruise enough for anyone wanting to explore Egypt in comfort and style. This journey exceeded all my expectations, and we will cherish these memories for a lifetime!

The itinerary was very busy, but we saw a lot as a result. Some very early starts, but this meant we were ahead of the crowds at all the important sites.
The tour ran like clock work, drivers were always punctual, transport clean and comfortable.
The Hotel and boat were very comfortable with good food and friendly staff. 8pm dinner was quite late for most of us after a long day - 7pm would be better.
My only real complaint is that entrance fees, some excursions and unavoidable tips were “extras” adding 50% to the overall cost. They were optional, but the trip would be pointless without most of them. They weren’t made clear until I arrived in Cairo.

Beyond the Nile Tours staff and guides made every day interesting and fun! Egypt is extremely safe; there is no war going on anywhere. The Egyptian people are warm and welcoming and their food is delicious. Our guides, Nasser, Ahmad, and Abdul are university-trained Egyptologists. All of their descriptions of every site visited were like master classes. Ahmad, our guide for the cruise made the experience fun as well as educational. The Nile cruise is on a maximum 131-passenger boat. This gave our tour group a cozy, more personalized experience compared to the giant ocean cruises. The boat staff were extremely helpful and every one of our three meals a day was a delicious feast. One day during our cruise our group of nine had a birthday and one couple became engaged. Ahmad arranged with the chef two celebrations during dinner. Our tour coordinator Harry plus Beyond the Nile Tours Director, Ahmad, and all of their staff went out of their ways to make sure we always had enjoyable, comfortable, and safe experiences every where we went. There's no war going on anywhere. From the time our tour coordinator, Harry, met me at the Cairo airport to the last day, everything ran like clockwork. The whole Beyond the Nile Tours team went out of their way to make sure we had a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable time. Our Cairo hotel was great with a breakfast feast. All of our guides were extremely knowledgeable and professional Egyptologists. Everywhere we went I felt like I completed a master class in ancient Egyptian history and culture. Nasser, our guide for the Giza Pyramids is a professor at Cairo University.
Ahmed our guide for the cruise was amazing. He made everything fun while teaching us mountains of information about every temple and site we visited along the Nile. There were 9 people in my tour group. It was perfect because we became a family right away. This was important to me as a senior woman traveling alone. The ship we sailed down the Nile was very comfortable and cozy.The entire boat crew were so friendly and accommodating. Unlike the giant ocean cruise ships where you can get lost among thousands of passengers, our boat had a total capacity of 131. Everyone of our three meals a day was a feast. We had a birthday and an engagement in our group in one day during the cruise. Ahmed arranged with the chef to prepare two special celebrations at dinner.
Back in Cairo, Abdul was our guide for the final day of sightseeing to the Saqquar Monuments --other pyramids and temples outside of the city--was excellent, too. He's actually a working archaeologist on the same sites.

My travel to Egypt began first week of March on the way to the tours with my friends. Unfortunately my travel journey came to a halt on the night of March 5th-6th when I had an accident while crossing…My travel to Egypt began first week of March on the way to the tours with my friends. Unfortunately my travel journey came to a halt on the night of March 5th-6th when I had an accident while crossing the street in front of my hotel with friends. A motorcycle came out f nowhere and hit me on my left thigh causing me to have a broken femoral bone. Mohammed came to our rescue with his team. He arranged for ambulance to be called to transfer me to the hospital accompanied by my dear friend Liz. The hospital that I was sent to was not equipped to the care I need. Therefore, Mohammed had arrange to transfer me to a “real” hospital to get proper medical attention. That night on transfer, I had met the owner, Ahmed. Egyptian police had questions regarding my accident and Mohammed took care and became our liaison with police and same time arranged my transfer to another hospital. I had taken more tests and had consented for emergent left femoral bone fracture surgery. My hospitalization took a long course with me losing blood requiring blood transfusion, antibiotics, tests, and nursing care. Ahmed flew immoderately from Luxor and since then Mohammed and Ahmed took care and arranged things I need at the hospital until discharge from hotel. Both of them checked up on me at least twice a day, arranged private nurse and physiotherapist, arranged my son to be picked yo from the airport from the states to be with me. I have met so many wonderful, amazing, thoughtful, and kind people here in Egypt, nurse Marvy, Dr. Eslam. Sadek, Mohammed leader, Mohammed Abdel. Big thanks to the crew from Gewan hotel for making my stay extra special with all executive crew awaiting for me to arrive from the hospital as this became my second home to recover, altogether, hotel staff are all amazing. Ahmed, Mohammed ensured that my son and I ate, took as to the mall for coffee and shop. Ahmed and Mohammed became my family here as both of them treated me so well above and beyond treating me as one of the family. Since my walking ability is limited, Ahmed and Mohammed had arranged for me to see the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum which is spectacular. Today, March 20 is my departure from Egypt. I had tears in my eyes leaving this place as this is quite a memorable ordeal and personal experience I will not forget by far as I’m quite a frequent traveler around the world. I had gain friends and family here in Egypt and will be back before you know it❤️

We felt safe throughout the tour and well taken care of by our tour guide, Ahmed Elkallaf. A few men we encountered in Egypt ,were pushy and ingratiating. Ahmed was the opposite. He was respectful to the needs of all our group members and inspired trust from the beginning. Thank you for the memories, Ahmed Elkallaf!
This tour was JAMMED packed so be ready to see EVERYTHING! We visited multiple temples, museums, ate amazing food, and I overall really enjoyed myself.

I am not someone who travels at a fast pace and I feel this trip was a little fast for my taste BUT it was still very enjoyable.
We had two really knowledgeable tour guides, but I will say I prefer Hameds style over Ahmeds style. Hamed gave us a brief but detailed overview of each location and allowed us enough time to explore on our own and take pictures/videos but Ahmed talked alot and we barely had time to ourselves to explore the different locations.
The visit to the Pyramids and GEM was rushed. We had less than 2hrs in the GEM, Ahmed spoke for most of the time so I end up leaving the group and exploring on my own. If you're expecting more time at the Pyramids and GEM this portion will be disappointing.
But once we switched to Hamed the style changed and we were really able to soak it all in.
I will give this tour a 8 out of 10, and I would recommend it to others BUT i do want to point out that the initial meetings with Mohammed were less than desirable. He was extremely unprofessional and yelling at the driver in front of the group when we returned from the Pyramids. They were speaking in Arabic and we couldnt understand the language but the body language, hand movements and tone told us he was scolding the driver, and it was extremely uncomfortable to witness and im sure it was embarrassing for the driver. Also if you're paying anything with cash, bring crisp, clean bills. Everyone but Mohammed was pleasant with explaining the money needs to be in good condition in order for it to be received from the bank. He was tossing the money back to the ladies next to me and he didnt explain why until later. His demeanor was rude, low-key pushy AND to add to that... He used the N-Word when talking to two white ladies from Europe. I understand everyone's culture is different but I feel like the N-Word is universally known to be off limits and to add to that, he said it right in front of me, directed to THEM and I was the only Black Person on the trip. All of this happened on the first two days of the trip. So being honest, if Mohammed was the only person we interacted with on this tour, I wouldn't recommend it. He doesnt need to the person greeting anyone. He wasnt a pleasant person.
But with that being said, we didnt let him ruin our trip. We met so many nice people along the way and enjoyed it. Oh yea. Always have small bills...you have to pay 20 - 25 Egyptian pounds for the restroom at many places lol

Staff were great . Food was varied and well prepared. Unfortunately it was served cool as the tureens were not heated. There was a tiny pool on the sun deck. Our guide Hamed was excellent. We were a large group of 28 and he managed to keep us all in line - like herding cats, with good humour. His knowledge of the history of the tombs was excellent. Some of the temples such as Horus were very busy, but apparently less busy than usual at this time of the year, due to some cancellations because of the USA/Iraq war. However, there is no danger on the Nile and Egypt is not involved in this conflict.
The only thing I didn’t like was the optional tour by horse and carriage around Luxor. We felt a bit pressured to book optional tours and regretted this one. Luxor isn’t a pretty city. We went through the local market and interrupted the locals going about their business. Not all the horses look well cared for, although ours did. The experience made me feel uncomfortable, but others on the trip enjoyed it.
Our pre booked optional tour to Abu Simbel was worth the early start. It’s amazing.

Our to tour guides, Abdoul and Ahmed Elkallaf were very knowledgeable and caring. Particularly, I would like to mention about Ahmed Elkallaf. He led our group from Luxor to Aswan. On the last day of Luxor tour, even though Ahmed told us to take all our belongings from the tour bus, I left my cellphone in it. I realized it after the bus had already gone. I notified about it Ahmed, who immediately contacted the bus driver. The situation was critical, because our cruise ship was supposed to leave Luxor after an hour. I was almost in panic mode, but Ahmed calmed me down, telling me not to worry because he would make sure I get my phone. Right before the ship left Luxor, Ahmed returned me my phone. He is my hero!!! The tour company is lucky to have Ahmed in its team. Besides being a good person, he is also a great guide who gave us lots of information about ancient Egyptian kingdoms and their rulers.

The Gewan Hotel was nice and the Renaissance boat was adequate. We felt completely safe and truly encourage travel to this marvelous place.

The boat is not the one shown in the photos, the cabins do not match what is advertised, the place was in very poor condition, had a bad smell, and the bed had hair on it. This does not meet basic hygiene or quality standards.
From the moment we arrived, we felt constantly unsafe. Everything was charged as an extra, and the staff’s attitude was intimidating. The situation became so serious that we decided to leave out of fear, as we did not feel safe staying there. Due to this, we had to purchase emergency flights because we genuinely felt unsafe in that place.
This tour is advertised as a five-star boat, which is completely false. The advertising is misleading, and the price charged does not reflect the service provided in any way.
For all these reasons, I believe that a refund is fully justified. This experience was unsafe, misleading, and deeply disappointing. I would not recommend this tour to anyone.

On a scale of 1-5, this organization is a stellar 10. I travel A LOT and I have never before experienced this level of customer service.
I was nervous leading up to the trip. Egypt has always been my number one bucket list destination, but I was concerned about safety. My son found this tour during a Tour Radar sale and we spontaneously booked it. But I stayed anxious. This was a budget tour. Was I skimping on my family’s safety? Whenever I got anxious I would pore over their thousands of five star reviews to reassure myself. I will add my voice to those thousands of five star reviews.
Our Friday night flight from New York was cancelled for weather after we sat on the tarmac, in the plane, for 4.5 hours. By the time we deplaned, retrieved our luggage, and took the train to a friend’s house, it was 6:30 Saturday morning. I kept Beyond the Nile Tours updated as to the late flight and then the cancellation. They always replied promptly: keep us informed.
My adult son arrived separately from the rest of us and there was a miscommunication that he was on the cancelled flight, but as soon as the miscommunication was realized, the tour people sprang into action. He made it to the hotel and got into his room with a minimum of fuss.
With JFK shut down for fourteen hours, re-booking was a nightmare. We could not get on a flight until Sunday afternoon, getting us to Cairo Monday morning. By that time we had missed the tours of the Pyramids in Giza and GEM, and the rest of the tour had taken the flight to Luxor. But this is when we met Mohamed.
He found us replacement flights to Luxor in the afternoon and arranged a place for us to rest for the interval between our arrival and the flight to Luxor. When I asked that instead of resting, could we please see the Pyramids, he made it happen. He picked us up at the airport, grabbed a tour guide on the way, and got us to the Pyramids. We had about 2.5 hours, but we saw them; we wandered around; we got the information; rode the camels; took iconic family photos; and then were bundled into a van and brought back to the airport in time for our flight. It was a whirlwind, but it was spectacular. He kept us moving, but I never felt rushed. I just felt chills looking at the Pyramids for the first time. The dream of a lifetime.
We were met at the Luxor airport and whisked off to the Sonesta Nile Goddess. We had missed the tours of Luxor and Karnak, but we arrived in time for the Karnak Sound and Light Show. I pre-booked the Sound and Light Show even though all of the reviews said it was bad and cheesy, but it is also the only way to get into the Temple at night. The reviews were correct: the show was terrible, but it got us inside the Temple, which was spectacular lit up at night.
The Sonesta Nile Goddess was great. Our stateroom had a living room, bedroom, bathroom, and balcony. All spotlessly clean. My sons each had a single room, which were also very nice and spotlessly clean. The steward was lovely and really leaned into the towel creations: the mummy and the zombie were my favorites. The rest of the staff was equally kind and courteous. The waiters and bar staff were on top of things: Dirty plates whisked away; water brought promptly. The food was plentiful and good. I would have liked a couple of child-friendly options at the buffet for lunch and dinner; a little more white meat chicken; but my more adventurous family chowed down. Tea at 4 pm on the upper deck was lovely. After only one day of ordering my tea at the bar, it was thereafter delivered to my table, with a “Your tea, Miss Claire.” Table service was not part of tea, the bar staff just did it. It was a lovely touch.
Many of the reviews, even the five star ones, mentioned feeling rushed on the cruise. We took the five day cruise and the pace was perfect: up early to see another bucket list temple, back to the ship for lunch, afternoon on the upper deck playing cards or reading, with tea and snacks at 4 pm; back to another bucket list temple for the early evening; followed by dinner at 8. We were all relaxed and happy.
Although there are complaints online about the early morning start for Abu Simbel, I would advocate for leaving one hour earlier. We were able to get into the main temple, but the line was too long and the sun too strong for us to attempt the smaller temple. The earlier you arrive, the smaller the crowds. And the sun is relentless.
Ahmed, our tour guide on the ship ensured that everyone knew where to be when we needed to be there and generally kept us all in line with efficiency and humor. He gave us the right amount of information and then let us have some free time in the various locations. My only quibble with the tour portion was the time spent at the perfume place. I understand it was thematically appropriate, but I, and I think many others, would have greatly preferred a stop at a fair trade souvenir shop.
We, and many others in the group, pre-booked extra days in Cairo for the Saqqara and Old Cairo tours. I strongly urge these tours. The Saqqara Tour in particular was incredible: Standing before the Step Pyramid is chills-inducing. Entering the Bent Pyramid was a highlight of the trip for my sons.
The Old Cairo tour was a tad problematic in that all involved thought there would be a stop at the Cairo market, which was not on the program. Mohamed helped sort this out via Whatsapp and we ended up walking through the market, stopping to browse, and finished with coffee at the Khan el Khalili Coffeehouse - totally touristy and a highlight of the day.
Mohamed was a running theme throughout the trip. Whether he was there in person or via Whatsapp, issues disappeared, wrinkles were smoothed, and people smiled. For the Cairo portion of the trip, it seemed that Mohamed never went home. He was always in the hotel lobby, keeping the various tours and airport pickups running smoothly, solving problems before they occurred. He was endlessly patient, endlessly kind, and the real driver of the success of this trip. He is a treasure and I hope the tour company appropriately values him.
We missed the GEM tour included with the trip, so we went on our own after the Old Cairo tour, taking an Uber from the hotel. We arrived at 18:30 and the museum closed at 21:00, but it was perfect. The museum was empty. We walked right up to Tut’s mask and there were only five or six other people at the Solar Barque. The museum was magical lit up at night with no crowds.
I would also urge buying the supplemental tickets at the Valley of the Kings. The Tomb of Seti I is not just remarkable, but it is also not crowded, allowing one to actually see and appreciate the artwork.
I heartily recommend this tour and am sincerely grateful to Beyond the Nile Tours, Nourbelle Tours, and Mohamed for making it happen, against all odds. My family will forever remember the Pyramids, the temples, playing cards on the upper deck as the Nile flowed by, climbing through the Bent Pyramid feeling like Indiana Jones, the clatter of the markets, and the kindness of the people. Take the trip.

The cruise was fantastic. We had a big problem with the royal morocco airline. We paid for wider seats and were told we could not have them ( we were basically too old) . When we got on the plane a lady my age was sitting in my seat and had not paid extra. Luckily I sat with her daughter who wanted her mother by her. We exchanged and the flight attendant was not happy. Got his supervisor who accommodated our situation. Why did they take our money if they had no intention in letting us sit there and then give it to someone who was frailer than we were! Really upset over that one. Going to Egypt via Casa Blanca we got no extra room, claimed all the seats were the same. That airline is very disorganized. I have written them but no response. Don’t want you to think I am a complainer as I loved the trip and am so glad I went but if there is going to be ageism at least it could be fair!

First, we've seen the pyramids in Giza, then went by plane to Luxor, seen everything there and gone on a brilliant Nile cruise with stops in Edfu and Kom Ombo, then into Aswan. Then back to Cairo by plane for some more sightseeing. We're so grateful to our guide Ahmed Elkallaf who was with us on the Nile part of the tour - he's so knowledgeable about everything we've visited and very helpful with all small issues you may have on the trip. Also, our tour assistants in Cairo: Mohamed and Ali, they were so helpful with everything. Nothing was any trouble for them and they always responded very quickly and efficiently. Like we decided on a whim to see Cairo Citadel and Ali managed to get us a taxi within 5 min to take us there and bring us back and he was also checking over Whatsapp to make sure we did not get lost while there ;)
The hotel we stayed in (Gewan Cairo) was nice, conveniently located near several restaurants and the Citystars Mall, which is also worth visiting. 100% recommended! The tour is so well organised, really ticking all the most important sites in Egypt and for a really good value for money.

Gewan hotel is very good.

While I expected the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx to be the main highlights — and they were truly spectacular — the Temple in Luxor completely took my breath away. Its …An unforgettable experience!
While I expected the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx to be the main highlights — and they were truly spectacular — the Temple in Luxor completely took my breath away. Its sheer size and its grandeur were jaw-dropping. Abu Simbel was another standout; although the drive through the Aswan desert was long (especially on the return trip), it was definitely worth the journey.
The night tour to Kom Ombo Temple (including the mummified crocodile museum) offered a refreshing change of pace from the daytime excursions — quieter, cooler, and full of fascinating detail.
The last day of the tour took us to Philae Temple and the High Dam - again pleasantly surprised by Egypt’s history, both ancient and modern.
Each day began on time, often with an early start — a much appreciated decision, as it had us inside the sites ahead of the crowds.
The guides were very knowledgeable and well-versed in their country’s rich history. Delivery was thoughtful and well-paced (for the most part). Also, being open to questions, made for an engaging experience. Thank you.
The cruise ship itself was average but comfortable. While I enjoyed some relaxing down time, its amenities (room, food) were fair. No matter, the daytime cruising on the upper deck had me thinking about the many passengers who travelled this river’s waters. Note that Wi-Fi was unreliable, of which we later learned is common while cruising on the Nile.
The hotel in Cairo at the beginning and end of the tour was excellent — well-appointed with generous breakfast buffets, a decent workout area, a sauna, and a jacuzzi (though it wasn’t as hot as I’d hoped). These little comforts made for a pleasant start and finish to the journey. Note that non-smoking rooms are available upon request.
A special mention to Mohammed, who was attentive and responsive to our personal requests and feedback throughout. Thank you.
Overall, this was a well-organized and memorable tour. Highly recommend it to anyone interested in making a journey to Egypt.

With that said, the level of organization and quality of execution at this price point is impressive.

On the other hand, every interaction I had with the Tour Representative Mohammed in Cairo was unpleasant. It seemed like he was constantly trying to scam us - whether it was the pressure and guilt trip on extras straight away after landing at the airport, or the 1hr $60 USD taxi ride he organised for us, he was truly a shifty character to deal with. Do not listen to his lies - the boat always stops in cities where you can explore, so don't let him pressure you into the Nubian Village or the Hot Air Balloons if you don't want to pay the exorbitant price.
The boat that we stayed on, the MS Royal Ruby II, had friendly and helpful staff, but we had a bad experience with the food. After a day on the cruise, half of our group fell sick, and after that, we avoided the buffet meals on the ship.
Our Aswan-Luxor guide Ahmed Elkallaf was an expert, he had such a deep knowledge of every place we visited. On top of that, he was very caring and always looked out for us in the towns and at all the temples. Ahmed was so accomodating with our multigenerational family, making sure that we were aware of what was upcoming on the tour so that we could look after both our grandparents and our young children. He was very happy to adapt the tour to suit us, and made sure that those who were up to the temple visits learnt so much! I couldn't have asked for a more caring and knowledgable tour guide.

For example, when we went to Abu Simbel Temple, we had to leave at 4:00 a.m. And our optional hot air balloon ride required us to leave at 4:45 a.m.. it was fine for my husband and I but there were people in our group who had small children that it was difficult for. Also, four out of 13 people in our group did become ill with vomiting and diarrhea while on the cruise. For most of them, it only lasted 24 hours (My husband included). Other than that, the trip was fantastic and I think I would book it again in the future.

We then flew to Aswan and over the next few days sailed down the Nile visiting various sites including Abu Simbel. the Philae temple, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and various amazing places in and around Luxor. Our guide, Ahmed, was also full of information and explained everything clearly and with passion. He also helped with many practical issues on the trip. Shukran!
The boat was a great standard and food was on par also. The staff onboard were all very helpful.

We had a nice group of about 13 people consisting of singles, couples and an adult family--all very lovely people.
Our first day in Cairo, we were collected at the airport as promised by the smiling Ali and driven to the hotel. The Tolip Golden Plaza (now Gewan) is a beautiful property, well located with security. The rooms were rather small and basic but very clean--no complaints. We were met there by Harry, who was very pleasant. He gave clear direction and more info on the upcoming itinerary. The following day tour of Cairo was led by Abu (sp?) who is VERY passionate and knowledgeable about his city--extremely well done.
This particular departure used the m/s Renaissance for the Nile Cruise portion. Yes, she was a little old and tired, but the staff was very happy and accommodating. The ship was clean if a bit worn. My cabin steward, Talat (sp?), was very helpful and did a wonderful job. Our group's waiter (I don't know his name) also was very accommodating. The only staff member that was not pleasant was Mathew at reception--the other guy was awesome. Mathew seems to have a glare for anyone looking his way.
Of particular note is our guide during our cruise who was VERY amiable and organized, Ahmed Elkallaf. He is a fountain of knowledge. (Sometimes a little more knowledge than I needed to hear while standing in direct sunlight in 102-degree heat...but that's just me.) He kept everyone on track and in tow all in good humor. He is a wonderful asset to the company, and I hope he is recognized for what he brings--he is brilliant.
This trip had a lot of moving parts, and 13 people to keep happy and in line. I believe all things considering, a fine job. I would like to see a little more information prior to the tour, but any questions I had were always answered... I just had a lot. A couple of excursions were canceled--the hot air balloon (high winds) and the Karnak light show (technical difficulties) --neither of them through fault of the tour company. Once I returned, the money was refunded to my credit card upon my request.
I would not hesitate to use these folks again!

We've learned heaps from this trip.
There were quite a number of early mornings to avoid the intense weather during the day and also the crowd.
The only few issues we feel were;
the check in process for the domestic flight which was a bit chaotic.
.plus during the cruise where we had to settle our own drinks' bill ( this is additional) as we got charged someone else's drink which I made it clear to the cruise receptionist . It's quite a hassle then as he didn't look happy..but all good...at the end.
Also it would be nice if we are given shopping time for all attractions venue
Food was not bad...tasty and quite colourful..
Accommodation is good too...comfy...can't fault anything..staff were great too.
Overall, a very enjoyable trip for us meeting new friends and learning heaps from both Abdul and Ahmed E.

The Nile cruise was everything and more. I did not know what to expect of the boat we were to sail on, but boarding the Nile boat, I was overwhelmed with giddiness and absolute delight.The cabins were comfortable and absolutely lush. The staff were incredible and went out of their way to help when needed, always smiling and humorous. Personally, I loved the food, and I never, at any time, heard anyone complain. Sitting on the top deck, enveloped in one of those serene moments, watching the world slowly drift by will always remain with me.
The group I was in was phenomenal. Each member had an incredible story to tell. We laughed, sang, and danced the whole trip. At no time was there criticism of any member. On that trip, we were one big family, and the person who gelled us together was the indomitable Ahmed Elkallaf, our Nile cruise guide.
How do I explain Ahmed? Let me just throw a few words into the pot: highly intelligent, passionate, dedicated, knowledgeable, funny, a friend, warm, and kind. For one, I absorbed his history of Egyptian culture like a sponge.
Do you remember listening to a teacher tell a story, and at that moment you began to dream? You were transported into the heart of the story; that is what it was like for me, hearing what Ahmed told us. I imagined being there 4000 years ago; he was that good.
Okay, there were many temples and monuments to visit, but I could not get enough. Let me add some words: breathtaking, sensational, spine-tingling, and, at the top of my list, wondrous.
I could go on, but let me close now. I have visited many places around the world, and there is only one place I would revisit; this is it, and most importantly, with this tour company.

He went to great lengths to thoroughly explain everything seen and give ample time to explore on your own with a pre set meeting place. All transportation was provided and all sites had your safety in mind. The boat was perfect and all workers so gracious and kind. The food at every meal was a culinary delight. The cabin was so comfortable that it was easy to sleep at all times. Do not hesitate to book this tour. You will be well taken care of from the minute you exit the airport.

We did a group travel to Ireland our first year of travel and now the Grand Egyptian GEMs: Hidden Pyramids and the Nile via Tourradar. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the trip. To say we were kept busy all the time is an understatement although this particular tour could be done without the river cruise. Including the river cruise I felt we lost some time we could have used exploring Luxor or Aswan. The staff that took care of us especially the group of Ahmed's that were our guides or chaperones did a super job. This is especially true for Ahmed Elkallat and Ahmed (Harry for differentiation). These two went out of their way to make sure we were getting the most out of our escorted trip. And of course I need to include Ali for being so diligent in getting us at the airport and several other tasks during our time in Cairo. The two events that took top places were of course the Pyramids and the new Grand Egyptian Museum. Amazing!!!
I would like to see a little bit of free time to explore nearby places.

The guide who showed us round the pyramids and Cairo museum was extremely knowledgeable and shared a good amount of information with us. Using headsets in the museum was a good way of making sure we didn't miss anything.
The second tour guide, who accompanied us for the main part of the trip from Luxor to Aswan was pleasant enough, however he did not make much if an effort to convey as much information as I would have liked and his tours felt very rushed. It would have been great to learn more about the social, cultural and economic context when the temples were built, as well as Egypt today. I felt like he was doing the bare minimum and did not make the effort to engage with the group. I felt sorry for the older members of the group some of whom were hard of hearing and could not keep up with the pace.

While the tour allowed us to see many incredible sights, I do wish there had been more time to explore them in greater detail. However, I understand that with a group tour, time constraints are inevitable.
We began our adventure in Giza, and in my naiveté, I assumed the highlight would be the pyramids and the Sphinx. While these iconic monuments were undeniably awe-inspiring, I was truly blown away by the Karnak and Luxor temples that we visited subsequently. The sheer scale and beauty of these sites were nothing short of sublime. A quick note, though—the optional Light and Sound show at Karnak temple was, in my opinion, a bit gimmicky and underwhelming.
Throughout the trip, we had the privilege of visiting many remarkable locations that showcased the grandeur of ancient Egyptian civilization. The Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut's temple, and the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo were all impressive and offered rich historical context. But the absolute highlight for me was the optional excursion to the Great Temples of Abu Simbel. The monumental statues and carvings left me in awe, even though the experience was slightly marred by an “influencer” trying to stage photos in over-the-top "ancient" garb (not a great look, in my opinion!).
A few comments on some of the optional tours that we took: my 74-year-old mother, who joined me on the trip, took the hot air balloon ride over Luxor, and for her, this was the pinnacle of the tour. She was absolutely thrilled by the experience! On the other hand, I felt the visit to the Nubian village could have been a little longer. While it was fascinating to see all the colorful homes, I wasn’t entirely comfortable with the display of crocodiles kept in small, confined spaces as pets.
All in all, this was an incredible tour, packed with historical wonders and unforgettable experiences. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the ancient Egyptian world!

Overall a solid "value for money" experience; this was my 2nd very similar tour of Egypt and the one 3 years ago was with Gate 1. My only major criticism was with the staff of the cruise ship and their overall competence. First the "reception staff" (Mathew and Timothy(?)) simply did not have anywhere enough ENGLISH SPEAKING SKILLS to understand simply questions about details of the ship and about services that were supposed to be available e.g. internet paid connection! The ship was either new or very recently refurbished and should have been an exceptional experience, but between the incompetence of the reception staff and the further very repetitious nature of the food buffets the "on ship" experience was a solid C- and much less satisfactory than the 4 days 3 years ago on the Gate 1 included cruise time. The quality of every version of "beef" available was poor and actually very hard to identify as beef. Our meals in economy class Lufthansa flights returning to California were more tasty, and even better presented!!!!! THAT is simply inexcusable. YOUR staff were excellent in the main office in responding to our "special needs" for the return connections and the airport pickup and drop-off service you provided was A+. The "tour" fulfilled ALL my exceptions and was done with GREAT staff. The time on the ship, which was the center of our overall experience (7 days not 4) was sub-standard and I would not recommend that ship for further use by your company!!!!!

It's hard to remember everything but the monuments and the sheer amount of history around them are incredible ! I loved this tour and would recommend ot to anyone who's not afraid of waking up at 3:30 am to roam among some of the world's most famous wonders ! It was very well organized and filled with action. I would also recommend the air balloon flight and the short visit to the Nubian village. .
Beware however that the prices for these activities may be much higher when booked with the tour operator. We paid the equivalent of 130€ for the balloon trip when other tourists had paid half this price through a direct booking from their hotel.
A few words of advice : use the airport's wifi to contact your driver at the airport through whatsapp. Change for some local currency and buy a local simcard.
Also beware of the the people selling rides around the pyramids in Gizeh, the horse ride is not worth it, ride a camel for the experience or just walk around the pyramids. In most places street merchants will harrass you to buy their souvenirs, spices and t-shirts. Negociate the total amount beforehand (usually half the price or less) and help the local economy, or ignore them completely if you have no intention to buy, as their insistance can be stressful.

Visiting Egypt has always been one of our goals so we chose the “Beyond the pyramids - Egypts hidden gems’” 9 day tour from Tour Radar and local tour operator ‘Beyond the Nile Tours’. Overall it was a great experience seeing monuments from Egypts distant past and experiencing the warm hospitality of modern Egypt and its people.
We had three great knowledgeable guides on the tour, Abdul at the pyramids of Giza, Ahmed Elkallaf on the Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan and Ahmed Kalad at Saqqara and the step pyramid. What made the tour very special was the guides and the special group of people we travelled with. We had so much fun and many laughs along the way.
Sadly the most disappointing thing regarding our tour was that we missed seeing several things that were listed in our tour itinerary. Most importantly to us was the new GEM Museum. We had spent sometime reading about the museum and were looking forward to visiting it. On our arrival on 14 November we asked Ahmed, the manager of Beyond the Nile Tours about the GEM and he told us it was not open for visits. This was clearly not correct as on our return to Cairo our guide told us that he had taken a group there the week before and spent 5 hours showing the group through. Also today I noticed a 27 October post on the Nour Belle (Beyond Egypt Tours) Facebook mentioning the opening of the museum and how exciting it was. For our last day our itinerary listed a tour of the GEM Museum in the morning then lunch followed by Seqqara, Memphis and both the Red Pyramid and the Broken Pryramid. We were only taken to Memphis and Seqqara. The other monument we missed seeing was the unfinished Obelisk in Aswan. The last day in Aswan was very rushed as for some reason, instead of the evening flight listed in our itinerary we were put on a flight leaving at 1.30pm in the afternoon and it was a rush just to see the Philae Temple and the Aswan Dam. We were left very disappointed.

Egypt has so much more to offer than the Great Pyramids. I did the Nile Adventure Odyssey with the 7 day cruise and was overjoyed at my experience! Beyond the Nile Tours/Noorbelle Tours gave me an unforgettable experience. The tour company management and guides are exceptional. Ahmed (the Manager), Abdul (my Cairo tour guide and archaeologist) and “King Ahmed I” (my Luxor tour guide and Egyptologist) took excellent care of me while on tour. Any question or request I had was quickly answered and I was provided excellent ideas on where to shop, eat and soak up the culture. All the local craftsmen, artisans, restaurants and vendors all gave me an amazing look at the Egyptian culture.
I took advantage of as many excursions as possible and was asking for more. I particularly loved the tranquility of Saqqara and the awe-inspiring Abu Simbel. The views are breathtaking and I feel like every picture is a masterpiece! Any history buff, world traveler or nomad can find something wonderful about Egypt but I highly recommend The Nile Adventure Odyssey and Beyond the Nile Tours. You won’t regret it! Aside from the expected tourist stops, the cruise on the Nile was transformative. Sailing up and down the Nile while seeing Egypt at daybreak, dusk or night was incredible. The colors, sounds, flavors all added to one of the best vacations I’ve ever had. I had the benefit of a private, semi-private and full tour, so I can attest that the company will work with you to accommodate your requests. I’m so grateful for the experience!

My only issue is with the tipping kitty. It is not advertised when booking but you have to pay 60 USD on arrival which supposedly all goes to the drivers/ porters etc. For a country like Egypt it is a pretty big tipping kitty considering it doesn’t include tips for guides. Perhaps I am overly sceptical but I suspect some of this doesn’t make it through to the drivers etc. You also have to pay for entry fees. My recommendation is to refuse to pay upfront. The queues are very short at the ticket offices, no longer than 5mins, and we ended up paying ~20% less across than the upfront price.
We will remember this trip very sentimentally. A special time during which we relaxed and got to know many unique places, along with their history.

I was badly impressed by the service, which, after arriving at the hotel, when we had not yet unpacked, asked for a "voluntary recommended tip" in the amount of $ 60 per person.
A tip is a reward for a job well done, which should come from the customer. If the employee asks several times whether we intend to pay for it, it is simply not elegant.

He was task-focussed but I got to know him and we shared a little on personal things. He did move us through the hawker stalls at sites quickly, which was good, but we also then did not get opportunity to pick up any trinkets. Ahmed tended to not give us the details of the next day until quite late in the day, making it hard to prepare. His English was good and he answered questions.
The tour organiser, Harry, in Cairo, did not prepare us entirely and did not allow me to take notes in our meeting, so I felt I was at a loss when on the cruise. I would have liked more reference and information to allow me to plan my time in order to be ready for the very early morning starts.
The transfer from Luxor airport to cruise ship was done by Hamada - admittedly this was a late change of staff, but he quickly left us on board and disappeared. The cruise staff were then asking us our details and we gave them Harry’s phone contact - they then gave us a welcome drink and information about our cabins, etc, but we had been there more than 1 hour already just waiting, not knowing what to do.
Ahmed is a fantastic guide. He is very knowledgeable and his English is excellent. It was a pleasure to travel with this tour. The boat was clean and the staff there, courteous and attentive.

We covered a lot of ground during the tour, which meant a lot of information to digest. I appreciated security measures at each tourism site. There are optional tours or hot air balloon ride (I'm afraid of heights and had no problem. Like floating on feathers.) Yes, it adds to the tour cost, but then you've decided what you want to do.

Using a tour takes a lot of the guess work out. We highly recommend the tour, for the ease of planning, the sights you get to see and insight you learn along the way.
Our tour group of 10 people really made the trip so much fun, and it wouldn’t have been the same without them, some of the most fun times on the trip were sitting atop the Nile cruise ship having a beer with everyone.
Our tour guides:
Abdul (Cairo) we had him for the two days to start the trip, he was very knowledgeable and helpful with knowing how to manoeuvre the ‘tourist traps’. He made it all very easy.
Ahmed Elkallaf was with us from Luxor -> Aswan on the Nile cruise (approx 5 days), we spent a lot of time together and he was also very knowledgeable about Egypt and the history we were seeing, helping us navigate through the cities and villages.
Additional note:
The price of the tour does not include the tipping kitty (tips for drivers & boat staff), entry fees (to the temples etc), the guides tips, or other ‘additional’ optional trips you can add-on to your trip. This adds a few hundred USD more to the price. Some of the optional add-on experiences are almost necessary otherwise some days itinerary’s have little or no activities.

My favorite tour guide to date. Ahmed was not only knowledgeable but also hilarious. He went out of his way to make sure everyone saw and got what they needed, including a market trip, a more obscure obelisk, and restaurant recommendations. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Egypt.
Excellent tour that was well managed, everything happened without a hitch and it was all planned perfectly. Tour guides in Cairo and Aswan/Luxor were fantastic and incredibly well informed

Saw all the things I wanted to see without it being rushed yet having enough down time on the boat to chill. Abdul our guide for first day was super thorough and wanted to explain everything especially in the museum which was awesome. Our second guide for the rest of the tour Ahmed Elkallaf was also just as informative and really took care of us keeping us aware of where the locals really try their salemanship and keeping us all together. I also really appreciated his knowledge and views of current day egypt that he shared with us. Was a very enlightening week. Great tour and highly recommended:)
