Can we confirm the name of the hotel where the tour commences from?

We really want to book this tour, but my family wants see the totality of the solar eclipse on Aug 2, 2027 starts at 1:02pm EEST. If we start the tour on July 28, 2027, it looks like the eclipse would be on Day 6 of the tour which shows Nile cruise from Edfu to Kom Ombo. Will we be on the cruise or on land at 1:02pm EEST? And will we be able to see the sky from wherever we are?

Unfortunately, we do not operate or arrange tours specifically for the solar eclipse event. Our regular tours follow the standard itinerary, so we cannot guarantee the location or viewing conditions during the eclipse.

Could you please tell us which hotel in Cairo would be used for our stay? We would like to know the hotel in advance so that we can organise our free time in Cairo and possibly arrange additional activities ourselves.

Yes, the 7-year-old child can join the tour, and we can accommodate the family of five.

Could you give me an approximate cost if I include the day trip to Alexandria along with approx costs estimate for entrance fees into the sites?

This tour includes only domestic flights; international flights are not included. The one-day trip to Alexandria costs $125 per person. The cost of the tour's sightseeing attractions is $165 per person.

Can you assure me that this will not happen if we book with you. What will you do if something like this happens. Also, what would be the price per person be for 5 adults. Could three adults share a room or would it be crowded

I would like to travel with a friend. Generally we make our own arrangements. Other TourRadar companies allow for me to book as a single person asking for a double room (i.e., assigning a roommate). This way the other person can do the same thing. Is this something you would consider?

A good tour. All of our guides were excellent. However, your management could be improved. First, it was difficult to logon to your system after booking. I finally had to go to the Tourradar website to find a phone number to find out what hotel to go to on day 1. Beyond that, you could not/would not tell us the flight time of flight back from Luxor to Cairo. We had an evening flight out of Cairo, but could not assume arrival time from Luxor in time to make it, so had to incur the cost of another nights hotel, meals, airport transfers, and an addition day of our pet sitter fee - a sum of close to $300 which could have been avoided. I would have gladly paid an extra $100 per person to avoid that. So, in sum, it seems you are intent on micro managing your costs without regard to the impact on your customers.Show more

We had an excellent trip thanks to our amazing guides, Abdul in Cairo and Ashraf from Luxor to Aswan. They shared their knowledge, making it fun with engaging stories. They were attentive, caring and safety- conscious. The tour was informative and well organized with often early starts to beat the heat and the crowds. The accommodation on the Sonesta Nile Goddess was somewhat disappointing as it was an outdated boat from 1989. Not a five start luxury cruise as advertised. The accommodation on the Sonesta Moon Goddess was better. The staff on both boats was friendly and accommodating. The food was good with many choices. Note: The $1500 upgrade for balcony was definitely not worth it. The cost of the trip is quickly inflated with expensive optional trips/ activities, tips to staff, site entry fees.Show more

We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day Nile River Cruise. Our tour also included 3 days in Cairo, which included a day tour to Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Musuem. We opted for an additional tour to Saqqara and Dashur which is absolutely worth doing if you can. The other day we had as free time and we used it to see some of Cairo Old Town. Overall we would really recommend this tour and were happy with how it was well organised whilst in Egypt and didn't encounter any issues or problems. Our tour guides were lovely and very informative. In Cairo we had an Egyptologist for our tours. He was incredibly informative.Show more
