What is the timing of the domestic flight from Luxor to Cairo on the last day?

What is the name of the hotel in Cairo that the trip commences from and what would be the cost to book an extra night there before the trip starts as our connecting flight would arrive around 3am and we would like to get some sleep over the next few hours?

The hotel will be Gewan Cairo hotel or similar. The extra night costs 150 USD per 1 night in a double room and check in starts at 13:00.

if you don't wish to do the optional trip to Alexandria, what are the options for that day?...also day 11 what time approx is the flight from Luxor back to Cairo , so that we know what flight times back to Brisbane we can start researching.

We can arrange another optional tour for you Like Old Cairo or Saqqara and Dahshour. The flight time is subject to availability.

Is it possible to book a flight from Luxor to Athens instead of Cairo to Athens, and pay the difference in cost? We need to get to Athens as our next cruise starts the day after the tour ends.

Unfortunately we do not book international flights. Additionally this package tour is for a small group tour, check-in, check-out and domestic flights are all together at the time of departure. So if you will not need the return flight from Luxor to Cairo on the last day there will not be any refund for that.

Are there twin bedded rooms on the boats?

Yes, there are double room with twin beds on the Nile cruise.

We are interested in this tour, but we arrive In Cairo on March 5th. We were wondering if it would be possible to connect with the March 4 tour, (Start Day 3, March 6) with the pyramids. We don't mind missing day in Alexandra.

This tour is a great balance between price, quality, and services. From start to finish, we were looked after with professionalism and genuine courtesy. Egyptian hospitality was constant throughout the entire journey. The tour offers a good mix of attractions and relaxing time. The hotel was nice, although it is starting to show some signs of age and wear. The cruise boat, advertised as 5 stars, also shows clear signs of tiredness, but it still provides decent accommodation. During the sailing, the crew was excellent, and a special mention goes to the food, which offered a wide variety of options for every palate, from breakfast through dinner. Entertainment on board is quite basic. Be prepared for some very early wake-up schedules on certain days. Highly recommended extras are Abu Simbel and the Nubian Village visit. On the other hand, I would skip the Light and Sound night show, as it was not worth it in my opinion. A very special mention goes to our guide Hamad — “Thank you and goodbye!”Show more

The two tour guides were good but the whole organisation was a big letdown. We started off this experience by having an abusive tour operator who met us at the hotel. His attitude was very abusive and used foul language to get people in the bus. Although he was made to apologise, he only did this to keep his job. The boat cruise was good but the organisers let us down 4 days from the last day by letting us fend for ourselves without any tour guide. When they sold us this tour, they assured us that we would have their tour representative with us from start to finish. Not so!! We had no tour rep for the last four days and this was very upsetting. When we arrived in Luxor, we were just dropped off at the airport entrance and their representative just drove away, once again just leaving us on our own. Two of the three passengers in my group are 72 years and 83 years old and the lack of support that was given to us was very upsetting and disrespectful. We would definitely not recommend this operator and will lodge a formal complaint with the tour company, Tour Radar, once we return home. We will also lodge a formal complaint with the Egyptian Tour Agencies as no aged passengers should ever be treated as we were.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 28th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 28th, 2026, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Beyond The Nile Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 70 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Beyond The Nile Tours will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Beyond The Nile Tours" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
