Our host was Saladino, his vast knowledge of ancient Egypt and humor was excellent. Sharing that knowledge at the many sights and also sharing insights into modern Egyptian life. Always on hand for questions and helping to resolve any problems. A great all round trip, highly recommend.

The tour guides were attentive and knowledgeable with Saladino, who looked after us on the section from Luxor to Aswan being particularly conscientious.
Worth noting is the frequent early starts to the day, sometimes as early as 3.30 am. Not a holiday for one seeking relaxation but a thoroughly enjoyable cultural experience.

Total: 6,210 LE → $118.62 USD at today’s conversion (1 USD = 52.35 LE). Yet the tour charges $165 USD.
Bear in mind, licensed tour operators in Egypt buy tickets in bulk at a discount, pre-paid, or via credit systems, a facility provided by the Ministry of Tourism to them. So if you pay the tickets face value they've already made a 20% profit on it. A fair price for all entry tickets is $120 USD, not $165 USD.
The extra $45 USD may seem small to us, but the lack of transparency is insulting. They assume tourists won’t notice, even though our group included highly educated professionals.
The same scheming on the top goes for tips ($60 USD per person) guides ($35 USD per person)and optional activities,which they really do their best to sell you at an augmented price. I think you got the idea.
The only star I gave belongs to Abdul, our guide in Cairo who was indeed a highly educated Egyptologist, and a true gentleman!
I do take all those 5 star reviews here with a pinch of salt.

They ask for tips upfront, in fact they don’t request, they just collect using your credit card as soon as you arrive. So 60-70 usd per person upfront, plus you required to tip to guides, driver and organizer at the end of trip on top.
Mohamed was our event organizer whom I found very unresponsive for texts and requests when you need something.
The tour mentioned 20-30 people group but at one point our group expanded to 51 people mentioning it’s busy season so it’s normal, Some travelers raised strong concerns so they divided in 35+16.
Saladino was our guide from Luxor. He had good knowledge about all things and shared lots of good information but he wasn’t sticking to schedule so we were mostly late for lunch or dinner, feeling tired, hungry and grumpy. Also, he never gave us any time to shop freely. Things in Egypt is very cheap if you can bargain so it’s good to shop. He was always taking us to his shops which was 3-5 times more expensive than normal price so he can get his commission. I kept requesting few minutes for free shopping and he kept ignoring and taking to his places. In short, travelers don’t hv a choice but to pay triple the amount.
One more bad experience for return trip.The itinerary said return flight from Aswan to Cairo on day 7 was in the evening and we should be back to Cairo @ 8 pm so people can rest and depart fresh on day 8. He booked the return flight so late saying it’s very busy season so they don’t get seats in early slots so we reached Cairo @ 1 pm. few travelers had early morning flight so they just changed the airport from domestic to international to do international check in, I was one of them. So Imagine no shower, no rest before u catch ur international flight which could be 15-20 or more hours. That was biggest mismanagement. When u express the concern, they brush it off saying u r here for adventure so sleep once u reach home. I believe they booked late flights so they can save money,
Nile cruise was good. Food was good. I found Nubian village tour over rated. Overall Egypt is one time visit place. I wouldn’t go again but one time is definitely recommended.
I’m giving 4 stars as they included most places, plus good hotel, good cruise, good food n they didn’t loose any traveler anywhere.

It doesn’t matter if I’m late or not but he shouldn’t decide to change to new location without notify. Lucky I had a phone with me. He also had an agreement with me and I told him to stop but he continued. This is not my first group tour I joined and I’ve never heard of any tour guides acted like this. I continued my trip with my group without confrontation. I finished my tour like everyone else. I also tipped him what he asked for on the first day of the tour because I feel it’s part of the tipping routine in Egypt. On the Nile cruise, I stayed next to the engine room on the Nile cruise. This is an old boat so I can hear the old engine running and smelled gas all my trip so I had TV on and wore mask to bed but my clothes smelled tho. The boat is very old and I’m not sure it’s up to the codes. The food was not varieties but ok to live by. In Luxor, the city tour and the light at Karnak temple. It’s totally boring and wasted of money $$$. The whole trip they liked to stop at the tourist traps as a routine and they were very very expensive. Do not think you get the good deal or the best. So travel with your own knowledge and protect yourself. The staffs were ok. I can’t give them a 5 stars review. Egypt is a very beautiful country and enjoy it if you decide to join this tour.

The tour was fantastic from start to finish. Our guide, Saladino, was thoughtful and accommodating. 3 generations of my family came on this trip and both young and old were looked after extremely well.
The accommodation provided during the tour was of very high quality. The ship in particular was brilliant and we all thoroughly enjoyed sailing down the Nile, watching the world go by.
The only slight disappointment during our tour was our hot air balloon flight being cancelled due to bad weather; however the tour company was excellent in ensuring that we received our money back.
Overall, I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide was excellent. It was extremely good value for money. And Egypt itself is a gem.

We got a last minute deal on the week-long Pyramids and Nile Cruise from TourRadar, and was uncertain what to expect but so glad we did it! The company is called Beyond the Nile Tours but also operates under Nourbelle Tours in Egypt.
The tour inlcuded a few nights at the Gewan Hotel in Cairo, which was a standard business-style hotel with also a lot of cabin crew using it due to its proximity to the airport. There were some restaurants nearby and large modern mall. We then flew to Luxor to join the cruise and stayed four nights on the Radamis which was a dated but well-maintained boat. Bedroom was clean and tidy with comfortable bed and hot shower. The top deck was the highlight as it had a nice pool and modern loungers and it was great to chill there while cruising down the Nile. They also served drinks and alcohol on board and the meals in restaurant were generally all good with no real complaints. The waiters were all friendly and attentive!
The tour itself included some of the main temples (Karnak, Valley of the Kings and Edfu were great!) and the Pyramids at Giza. They were all great to see in person and learn about. Our guide in Cairo Abdul was very knowledgable and he answered all of our questions. I felt like we had enough time at most of the places to see them and take photos. There were some stops to local businesses that sell papyrus, jewelery, and stone statues but never felt too pressured to buy anything.
Our guide for the majority of the tour from Luxor to Aswan was Saladino who was AMAZING! So friendly, funny and knowledgable. You can tell he wanted to make sure we got the most out of our time in Egypt and was always happy to help with any question or request. On the last day in Aswan we also had a lunch with Saladino at the Jamaica King restaurant where we had a lovely tagline (including camel tangine!) - which I would recommend trying if you get the chance.
All of the other tour representatives and drivers were great incl. Ahmed and Ali. We had some problems initially being told our return flight to Aswan was overbooked but the guys were very contactable and responsive on WhatsApp and able to speak to the airline to help us board. We had signed up to do the optional hot air balloon ride in Luxor but this was sadly cancelled due to the wind - however we received a refund without issue.
Overall, would 100% recommend this to my friends and family.
TIPS
They say you have to decide whether to do the optional tours when you arrive, but it turned out you can always sign up to these later on if you haven’t already done so.
Try and break some of the Egyptian notes into smaller 20 and 50 bills for tipping. The waiters on the boat are tipped from the tipping-kitty you pay at the start but some of them were very attentive and friendly so it can be nice tip more.
The company gives you the flight ticket info in advance. I would recommend checking yourself in (the day before) to secure you spot on the flight as it appears Egyptair overbook the route. We eventually were able to board after being denied - but if we hadn’t have been able to we would have definitely missed any early flights out of Cairo the next day.
If you do all the optional tours, the itinerary is quite intense with early starts and long days so would recommend to keep this in mind. We did not do many of the extras and found it very manageable with a lot of time to relax on the top deck of the boat.
Visiting Egypt was my lifelong dream and I loved it. The country is imbedded with fabulous history and culture.
The itinerary was jam packed with historic sights! Everyday was an adventure!!

The team at Nourbelle Tours was responsive and answered all our queries promptly via chat on TourRadar. Upon our arrival, they were there at the airport to greet us, assist with the hotel check-in, and ensure a smooth start to our trip. Harry, the tour manager, met us in the evening to walk us through the detailed itinerary for the upcoming days.
However, the itinerary itself was quite packed. If you’re looking for a leisurely, relaxing tour, this may not be the right choice for you. Most mornings, we were up by 3-4 AM, either catching flights or visiting temples. The pace was definitely fast, with very little downtime.
The cruise line they partner with was just average. While they offer different meals each day, the food was nothing to write home about. The rooms on the cruise were small, and don’t expect much of a view as the ships are docked parallel to each other. You’ll often be staring at the windows of other cruise ships. Out of the 4 days we spent on the cruise, it only sailed for about 1.5 days, and during that time, you’d want to be on the deck enjoying the Nile views.
A few practical points to keep in mind: basic necessities like bottled water are not freely available, and you’ll be expected to pay to use washrooms in many places. Tipping is a standard practice throughout Egypt, and as someone from India who doesn’t earn in US dollars, the mandatory tipping expectations felt significant. Harry informed us about a $60 USD per person tipping kitty for drivers and helpers, which didn’t include optional tour guides or drivers. In total, we ended up tipping around $90-100 USD per person, which I feel should ideally be included in the tour package price as a service charge rather than collected in cash.
Entry tickets to various attractions were not included, but this was clearly stated in the package, so no surprises there. The buses used for transport were comfortable and air-conditioned, which was a relief in the heat.
One major downside was the last day of the tour. We were expecting to leave Aswan at night and have more time to explore the city, but our flight was scheduled for 12 PM, meaning we arrived in Cairo at around 2 PM and didn’t have much time to explore. Our return flight was scheduled for the following late night, making the last day feel wasted.
On a positive note, both guides—Abdu and Saladino—were incredibly knowledgeable and added significant value to the experience.
Overall, it was a packed and sometimes tiring trip, but with some adjustments, it could be a fantastic option for those looking to explore Egypt with a detailed itinerary.

Be aware that due to the nature of the tourism industry in Egypt organization and scheduling can be pretty chaotic due to the volume of other tours and many moving parts and excursions to various attractions. The operators and guides will look after you and make sure you are accommodated. The guides will also ensure you are shielded as best from the many tourist traps. Since tourism is a major part of the economy the government, police and the operators work hard to protect you and the industry while still being fair to sanctioned retail vendors you will visit. Being aware and respectful of the culture(especially tipping) will lessen the culture shock as a tourist especially from the West.
This package is a whirl wind tour allowing you to absorb much of the ancient Egyptian culture. You will be sleep deprived but depending on how many optional excursions you book there will be some very relaxing down time while cruising on the boat hotel on the Nile. The accommodation and food were more than adequate and in fact excellent value based on the price of the tour. This is not a $5k USD tour and you should set your expectations accordingly. The scenery and the sites are the main reason to visit and you will not be disappointed!
Shout out to the operators and guides. Mado, Abdou, Saladino and others have stressful jobs and will work hard to make sure the trip goes as smoothly as possible given the chaos of facilitating 12-15 million tourists per year! You will also need to familiarize yourself with Whatsapp and make sure you have 1GB data from an E-sim or local sim.
Do yourself a favour and do a little home work. This tour is an opportunity of a life time at a very good price if you have any interest in seeing what Egypt has to offer. I have zero regrets about visiting.

We felt safe and had lots of fun. It is very intense itenerary with very early wake up calls but well worth it. The tour is packed with most important sites in Egypt. Tolip hotel met our expectations. Airport transfers efficient.Breakfast had good selection.

Apart from that, the tour was well organised and a lot of fun. Our guides Akian and Saladino were both knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this tour.

Everything was well organised, and we were blessed with two wonderful guides for the duration of the tour: Abdou covering the Pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, and Saladino covering all the excursions during the Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Both showed amazing enthusiasm and passion for Egypt's ancient and modern history, provided rich context to the temples / artefacts / places we visited and I think a lot would have been lost had we not been with them. A particular shout out to Saladino, who was very personable, funny, intelligent and patient, and ensured everyone had a wonderful time.
Our group thought the standard of the Nile boat was great. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the meal options were plentiful and tasty. I would describe the Gewan as pretty good, though it was conveniently located 15 mins away from Cairo Airport, making it an easy option for arriving in Cairo, flying to Luxor, and departing Cairo at the end of the tour.
As others have mentioned, be prepared for some relatively early starts for domestic flights and some of the activities, but this was ultimately beneficial, as it meant our group was typically early to the attractions and could enjoy them relatively peacefully before the crowd numbers grew.
Also, as a note to anyone hesitant to visit Egypt at the moment (with the current situation in the Middle East), I can confidently say at the time of our tour that everything felt incredibly safe.
Overall, this tour was a great introduction to Egypt and I would recommend it to anyone considering visiting.

Tour guides Abdou (Cairo) & Saladino (cruise) were both very engaging and easy to understand, covering a lot of history. Saladino used a microphone and we were able to listen with headphones, which helped prevent missing the information due to crowd noise.
Range of ages & nationalities on the tour, everyone very nice.
Tour team also responsive to feedback - flight from Aswan to Cairo was arranged to be midday after previous groups' issues with a late night flight, which was so helpful.

Stayed on the Alnabilitan boat. Was booked a room near the engine which was very noisy, vibrating, and filled with engine fumes, so limited sleep and comfort even with earplugs. Am easygoing with accomodation (frequent hostel user), but the noise/vibration felt unbearable sometimes. Front desk unable to accommodate a change in room.
7/23 members of our group also got sick with vomiting/diarrhoea from ship. Saladino kindly checked in and helped with antibiotics and fruit, but I missed a day of touring because of it. These things happen, but not sure I can recommend the ship itself.
Wish we had more time at some of the sites. Time stuck visiting spice/ alabaster/ papyrus shops could've been spent elsewhere (though I know this is not unique to this tour - just be aware the tour has shopping scheduled in at specific shops).
Overall a trip that's worth it for seeing the sights and for the great guides, who are truly an asset. Expect to pay an extra 220 USD for fees on top of advertised price and tips beyond that.

While the cruise offered great amenities and a dedicated staff, travelers should be aware that this is a fast-paced adventure rather than a relaxing vacation, often requiring wake-up calls as early as 4:00 AM to reach our destinations. I would have loved to see more authentic Egyptian cuisine served, and there are a few logistical areas that could be improved: specifically, our return flight from Aswan was booked very late at night, which—combined with frequent airline delays—resulted in a midnight arrival that was difficult for those with early flights the next morning. Additionally, while the add-on experiences like Abu Simbel and the Nubian Village were highlights, the gratuity system was a bit confusing since the initial group fee didn't cover the tour guides; it would be much more convenient to have all tipping handled in one go at the end. Despite these hurdles, I am grateful for the memories and the warm hospitality we received!

The overall organisation of the trip was also excellent — everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Our luggage always arrived on time, the buses were punctual and comfortable, and the guides and staff were consistently very serviable and helpful throughout.
Saladino was an excellent touristic guide who made our experience both enjoyable and truly enriching. His explanations were always clear and focused on the essential information, which made it easy to follow along without ever feeling overwhelmed. The pace of the visits was just right — he kept a good rhythm throughout the day and struck a great balance between the guided parts and free time to explore on our own.
One thing that really stood out was his helpful use of repetition, which made it much easier to retain information and leave with a solid understanding of the key notions about Ancient Egypt. And very importantly, he has a fine sense of humor that kept everyone engaged and in good spirits.

Be forewarned that you cannot drink the water on the boat and you will need bottled water to brush your teeth. This was not explained to us PRIOR to boarding, so many of us were forced to buy the bottled water on the boat at a much higher rate than the market. You would think that the boat would provide at least one bottle per person to brush teeth.
Also, every tour you go on, you need to pay a toilet tax. Be sure to bring small Egyptian pounds for this. It’s 20LE for EACH visit. They will NOT let you in unless you pay.
I could only give this tour 3 stars because of these very unexpected extra expenses.

1. when booking through Tour Radar, a fixed price was given for the trip. Only after we had booked and paid were we informed via chat that there were still considerable costs to be added (entrance fees and a flat rate for tips on the ship)
2. when we arrived at Cairo airport, we had to wait several minutes for the person who picked us up. This was despite the fact that immediately before our arrival at the meeting point, the person wrote that he was on site and waiting for us. We were later told that the person was still in the toilet. Other guests in the tour group had spoken of exactly the same experience. The suspicion arises that the person picking us up waits outside the airport parking lot until the guests are at the meeting point and only then drives the car to the airport parking lot to save on fees.
3. our suitcases were not there for the transfer from the boat to Luxor airport (flight to Cairo). A big search was started and it turned out that our suitcases had obviously been put in the wrong vehicle and delivered to a Spanish travel group in another hotel. Only at the last moment were our suitcases delivered to us by cab, so that we and the other members of the tour group were able to travel to the airport together.

* Abdou has been a perfect guide to show the pyramids and the EGM. He is very passionate and provided a lot of details without getting boring.
* Saladino was our guide for the rest of the trip (river cruise). He is one of the best guides that I ever had in my life. He has the basics, meaning that he can explain every site in detail without getting boring. Aside of that he was very good in creating good atmosphere in our group of 30 persons of very different characters.
* Other employees who picked us up and brought us to the airport and several sites (Omar and Ali).
* Food and organisation on the cruise ship. Staff were very friendly.
Negative:
* Mohamed kept insisting on everybody to write a review (we were reminded about 20 times). Rest of his organisation was average at best.
* Wifi (paid) on the ship was very bad and shower was just fine.

The excursions were suburb- mind blowing destinations- Karnak and Luxor temples, Valley of the Kings, temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo and very interesting museum of mummified crocodiles, Abu Simbel, Philae temple and Aswan dam. Incredibly well preserved Ancient Egyptian wall art, hieroglyphics and artefacts. Our ship, Sonesta Moon Goddess was beautiful, the food was excellent and all staff provided great service. The scenery was spectacular whilst we were sailing down the Nile and the on board swimming pool was a lovely bonus, as was the provision of balconies with each cabin.

This was simply a brilliant whistle-stop tour for anyone with either a passing or keen interest in Egyptian archaeology. Seeing Luxor, Karnak, the valley of the Kings, hatshepsuts temple, edfu, kom ombo, and the additional Abu simbel tour, ending qith a visit to aswan dam and philae, whilst aboard a fine cruise ship allowing for feasting and splashing in the pool meant that all of our family on tour, across the
three generations, gained so much from it. We were well looked after by our tour guide Mr saladino, who planned ahead to address mobility, interest and comfort, even ensuring we sat the cool side of the coach when we visited the additional excursions made us feel like we got the best from this once in a lifetime holiday. I would highly recommend this company.

There was no description of the terrain to be faced nor were we informed of the many early rides needed to travel to the sites. Anyone fit or otherwise cannot recover when rising on average at 4am and not getting to bed until 10pm. The standing for 50 minutes in a 40 c degree temperature by the tour guide daily was exhausting. It is would be better to have a daily print out of the next site with only a brief oral summary at the commencement of each trip. The extended rotation reduced the time we had for actually physically exploring the sites. Also info provided was different to different groups within the total group. We were not given much time to obtain curios/souvenirs and when we were able it was to shops we were directed to by the guide. There was one member of our large group who sustained a heavy fall and there was no offer of any medical service or check up. The air flight from Ashwan to Cairo in was horrendous due to airport mistakes. Should have been in Cairo by 7:30 pm but we're not there until 11:00pm. There needs to be more transparency re what is actually entailed re terrain of the tour sites. There was too many things crammed into one day when in fact most site seeing needed to be extended re time. Most days should have been seen over a two day period. The general opinion by our group was more or less what I have described. It was great to see the sites it just needs to be managed better and as already stated there needs to be transparency.

Reasonable fitness is required as there is quite a lot of walking. Going in to tombs requires going up and down often quite steep stairs while bent over low. Certainly doable unless you have back issues.

We stayed at Gewan Hotel (pre- and post-cruise), near a huge mall with a grocery store. (Yes, we crossed Cairo traffic on foot!)

The itinerary was quite packed, and we managed to see a lot in a short time. The only downside is the very early mornings (sometimes 3:30 a.m.) for flights or bus departures. If you’re a high-energy traveler, you’ll be fine—and tours like this are typically fast-paced, so we expected that.
We were lucky to get a great cruise ship (so I’ve heard), and I enjoyed every part of the trip.
Room for improvement: I wish we had a bit more free time at each site, but I understand they try to include as much as possible and manage the crowds.
The cruise, food, and fellow travelers were all wonderful. I truly enjoyed the experience.

Being here just prior to the summer season led to some hot days but also less crowds and more personal of an experience. Less crowds to contend with. We kept being told we arrived just at the right time of the shoulder season.
In Cairo the team of Mostafa, Ali and Abdo knocked it out of the park! The pyramids and Egyptian museum day is a marathon but they made sure everyone felt safe, organized, informed and most of all entertained. I celebrated my birthday in Cairo and the staff was nothing but kind.
Aswan- Luxor cruise again is packed with temples and tours but there is down time to enjoy the views from the cruise. Saladino was was an absolutely superb guide and cannot say enough about his knowledge and enthusiasm. He made my wife and I feel at home quickly and we are so thankful for all he did for us.
Every optional tour we did (Abul Simbel, city tour, Nubian village and hot air balloon) were great. Made for long days at times but again when in Egypt right?
Hurghada resort has been great way to end this adventure to refresh. Each step of the way the team has done their best to get us to our next location safely and efficiently and as well were accommodating to other requests.

Hotel checkout was 11am and the tour booked our return flight at 11pm so we were a little stranded for the day. We ended up arriving at our Cairo hotel after 130am.

1) The utter lack of compassion in considering our request for cancellation and refund of deposit after a member of our traveling party received the devastating news of the recurrence of her cancer in late December 2024 (our original booking date was October 21, 2024) with the absolute lie that “bookings and charges for accommodations and excursions” were already made;
2) The refusal to provide itinerary details (names of hotels/cruise ship for accommodations; specific details of daily itineraries that aligned with tour inclusions outlined. The full daily tour schedule was only provided after our arrival, and even that was inaccurate and according to Harry “not the updated schedule”
3. BNT also unilaterally altered and/or eliminated individual tours specifically included in tour listing (IE. Aswan Dam and Edfu w/ carriage ride) and pushed “optional” tour items (IE. Luxor carriage ride) as a substitute…of course at an additional charge…..as well as pushed the Nubian Village tour.
4. Advised night before departure for Aswan that schedule/itinerary for next day was being dramatically altered with flight time and airline…BNT changed the airline noted in tour listing from Egypt Air to lower cost, no-name airline, Nesma Air…..presumably because air reservations were only secured within days of travel (and NOT in December 2024)
5. Entire itinerary/schedule was handled with a ‘maximum flexibility/subject to change’ philosophy- every time a guest asked for a specific departure or meeting time, no exact time was given…IE. response would be ‘after breakfast,’ or ‘after lunch’, or ‘after dinner’; not “We leave at 2pm” or “We meet back up at 6pm”
6. Tour guides ended up accommodating the constant lateness of a single guest at the expense of the remaining nine guests….nearly every tour had nine guests waiting in a cafe or somewhere shady for relief from the ‘record breaking heat’ for a single guest who refused to have consideration for the nine others in the group.
7. Hot Air Balloon Sunrise over Nile add-on excursion was *very poor*…..the maximum capacity balloon baskets that accommodated 32 passengers was unacceptable when the price for the tour ($125p/p) was so much higher than we would have paid had we made arrangements independently with an unaffiliated operator that doesn’t try to cram in the most number of people for the least possible cost. The balloon pilot did not rotate the basket during flight to give all passengers full photo opportunities- we had zero aerial pictures of the Valley of the Kings and Hatchepsut Temple because we faced the Nile exclusively during that part of flight time. Baskets should have a maximum capacity of half the number, 16, if not six.
8. Given BNT’s refusal to provide detailed tour/itinerary information to guests- specifically with regard to names of hotels, ships, etc., the accommodations for the Hurghada add-on were completely unacceptable. As U.S. citizens, we have *serious* issues with being booked at a so-called “all-inclusive” resort (which it most definitely is NOT) that is closely affiliated with Russian interests- from the majority of guests, to the significant contingent of Russian staff, to the extensive signage in Russian, to the 24-hour surveillance warnings.
9. The Pyramisa Sahel Hasheesh is not what it claims- unless WiFi availability limited to the lobby atrium (none in room); pool closing at 6pm; €2 for cotton candy or ‘specialty’ ice cream; €1 for a tiny box of popcorn; €50 per person for each meal (who pays €50 for breakfast??) for on-site restaurants other than the hotel buffet, is your definition of “all-inclusive”.
10. The meals/food available on both the cruise ship and Pyramisa resort were nothing to look forward to. The ‘breakfast boxes’ provided by the cruise ship were far from satisfactory, consisting primarily of no less than six bread options (three hoagie rolls, maybe a croissant, and a limp, thin square of cake (?)) from the previous days buffet trays, two bananas, a hard boiled egg and a guava juice box (yuck). Most guests gave the bulk of their bags to local kids.
To be clear these issues/complaints lie squarely on Beyond the Nile Tours….NOT with tour guides. On the contrary, the tour guides were the one excellent aspect of our entire tour. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and (mostly) patient with the redundant questions from guests.

I would suggest mentioning this to your travelers in case they don't know about this app. it was an overall excellent travel experience.

The less enthusiastic feedback would go towards the accommodation - the 5 star nile cruise statement of the tour might create expectations that will not be met. The ship was sort of dated whilst very clean and well maintained. Food was OK (buffet) but did not really create excitement. The staff on the cruise ship was not well trained, not sufficiently service oriented (i.e. in the restaurant) pushing for sign-offs on the (soft) drinks taken for dinner or lunch while the guests where still eating or not checking if additional drinks or anything else would be needed. The hotel in Cairo was OKish but do not expect miracles.

The accommodation (Tolip Golden Plaza hotel in Cairo) and the boat (Radamis Floating Hotels) were comfortable and very decent. The boat staff and the food were also great!
Please note that you must have a good overall fitness to be able to attend all tours. There are also some very early mornings (like 3am/5am...) to fit the schedule in. Althought I enjoyed the whole trip and all tours we purchased, the nile cruise was the highlight of this tour. Ashraf is the best or the 4 tour guides we had in the 10 days we spent with Nourbelle, and I can't thank him enough for the expectacular experience he provided to us and the rest of the group. He was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with our (very diverse) group!
I think the only downside of the this tour was that we had different people each day for the 3 days tour we did in Cairo and 3 different guides. However, all tour guides were amazing and very patient.

Nile Cruise: We were on the Sonesta Moon Goodness: Wow. Fantastic staff, all the staff were excellent, Mr. Emad, our host, he is the best host ever. TOUR GUIDE IN CAIRO: Our tour guide in Cairo is Mr. Abdul. This is a terrific archaeologist and tour guide. He is a rare gem of a tour guide. Wow. He is highly knowledgeable and friendly, and genuinely ensured we had the best time in Cairo. He is exceptionally passionate about Egyptian history and was excited to share it with us. He saved us several times from hustlers, he warned us about the hassling, and some tourists can be cheated. He saved the day several times, advocating for us. He ensures the locals will not cheat on us. He was genuinely considerate of us and protected us.. Thanks a lot, Mr. Abdul. We appreciate you.
Suggestion to Mr. Abdul. He is highly passionate about his field and eager to share with the guests. I want to suggest that he to pay attention to when the guests are tired or need adjustments. At the grand museum tour, we were all tired and he didn’t pay attention to give us some time to rest or ask if we would like to make an adjustment.
TOUR GUIDE: Nile Cruise (Mr. Saladino). This is a terrific Egyptologist and tour guide. He is another rare gem of a tour guide. We love him; he is a complete gentleman who is extremely knowledgeable. He was eager to show us all the historical temples; he was genuinely nice. We learnt a lot about the history of Egypt, had a fantastic time on the Nile cruise… He is very observant of the guests and can quickly adjust as needed. I wish Mr. Saladino had pre-informed us that we could negotiate the price before going to the spice store; we felt cheated by the prices at this store. I thought I was in America where don't negotiate. He later pre-informed us at the other stores to negotiate like 50*70% half any prices we were told.
We had an outstanding time in Egypt, and I will be booking my clients with your company. You provided a fantastic service, I look forward to long-term partnership as I will be booking more clients with your company.

I Luxor Ahmed Saladin was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable but he was always wanting 100% attention and the yella yella habibi got old. I lived in an Arabic country where yella meant hurry up and wasn’t a nice way to say it. Myself and a few of my fellow tourists reminded him to relax a little, stop rushing us and he got better towards the end. We didn’t need to be 100% concentrated on his explanations and not be able to take photos at the same time. Ahmed emphasized buying local to help the local community but other than letting us shop at the local souks without any choice we were taken to large tourist traps. As for the Nile cruise ship is old and falling apart ( ceiling won’t stay up in the cabin when entering and the shower head kept falling down so water goes everywhere. I think the examples in the your description are deceptive as I looked up the reviews for the example ships given and the ship we were on did not compare it was very sub par. If the food was better it could probably overlooked. The staff were friendly and nice but be aware no water or tea and coffee at meals are included. Overall a fabulous trip for the price and I’d do it again. It was very well organized from the moment we landed until departure.

I arrived a day early and decided to take the Alexandria tour before the official itinerary began. The guide for this excursion was friendly, knowledgeable, and highly attentive, setting the tone for what would be a well-organized and enriching trip.
When the official tour began, I was joined by 19 other travelers who quickly became friends. We started with a visit to the Pyramids of Giza, where our guide made sure I had the full experience, even arranging a camel ride and providing a traditional scarf. Seeing the pyramids up close was a breathtaking moment. Afterward, we visited the Museum of Egyptian Civilization, where the guide navigated us through the crowds efficiently while providing insightful historical context.
We then flew to Luxor, where we met our main guide for the rest of the trip, Saladino. He was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and always ensuring our safety. We visited Karnak Temple early in the morning, which was perfect because there were no crowds, making the experience truly special. Later, we explored Luxor Temple, followed by a horse carriage tour through the city, an enjoyable and unique way to see Luxor’s local life. That evening, we boarded our Nile cruise (Redemis), which turned out to be the highlight of the trip. The ship was exceptionally clean, the service was excellent, and the entire cruise experience was magical.
On my birthday, I had the incredible opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride over Luxor—an unforgettable experience. We then visited Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple, where Saladino continued to provide in-depth explanations of Egypt’s rich history. The highlight of the day was the Valley of the Kings, where I was able to get an additional entrance to the tomb of Sety I, thanks to Saladino’s assistance. Despite the crowds, the experience was absolutely worth it. That night, the staff on the cruise surprised me with a birthday cake and a small celebration, making my special day even more memorable.
As we continued our journey, we visited the Temple of Horus in Edfu before sailing to Kom Ombo, where we explored the temple dedicated to Horus and Sobek, the crocodile god. The evening on the cruise was especially lovely—watching the Nile River scenery pass by, enjoying delicious food, and experiencing top-tier service. The cruise also offered additional activities such as “falafel social” and “tea time,” which added to the enjoyment of the trip.
One of the most incredible days was visiting Abu Simbel in the morning, where I was completely in awe of the grand temple of Ramses II. It was one of the two moments in the trip that gave me goosebumps—the other being my first sight of the Great Pyramid. In the afternoon, we visited the Nubian Village, an incredibly colorful and welcoming place that offered a unique cultural experience.
In addition to the scheduled itinerary, the tour included several extra experiences that were not in the official program but were fantastic. We visited a place where they demonstrated how papyrus is made, a spice store with high-quality products, and an alabaster workshop where artisans put on a show demonstrating how they carve the stone. We also visited the Aswan Dam, a fascinating stop that provided more context on Egypt’s modern engineering marvels.
Throughout the trip, Saladino was an exceptional guide—friendly, highly intelligent, and always making sure we were safe and comfortable. He truly took care of the group like a father figure, which was exactly the kind of support needed in a country as culturally rich and different as Egypt.
This tour exceeded all my expectations. It provided a well-rounded experience of Egypt, from historical wonders to cultural immersion, all while being stress-free and expertly organized. I must also mention Harry, the behind-the-scenes group leader, who handled all the logistics, ensuring smooth connections between flights, guides, and excursions. His initial briefing upon arrival in Cairo set the stage for a perfectly structured tour.

Our guides Ahmed and Ashraf were brilliant. Both extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about what they are doing. With a smile on the face everyday they will provide you with very interesting information about all sites you will visit and always answer any questions you have.
I highly recommend this tour and come explore all Egypt has to offer.
Please bear in mind that if you are doing extra optional tours all days have very early starts (anywhere from 4 to 9 in the morning) however they are really worth it. And if you wish for some extra chill time, you can do the 4 nights cruise instead of the 3 nights one, which visits the same sites.

There's always a few kinks and sometimes we felt a bit rushed to keep up with the guide, so if you want a more relaxing tour with more time to take your own posed photos, I'd recommend booking a private tour rather than with a large group of 25.
But this was a wonderful tour at a reasonable price and served our purposes and timeframe nicely.

We booked this tour based on the 5-star reviews from other travelers but were greatly disappointed by almost everything especially the service of Nourbelle Tours in Cairo.
First of all, I wrote t…We booked this tour based on the 5-star reviews from other travelers but were greatly disappointed by almost everything especially the service of Nourbelle Tours in Cairo.
First of all, I wrote to Randa ( from Beyond the Niles tour ) to confirm that all is in order for our pick up from Cairo airport. He confirmed that their representative ( from Nourbelle Tours ) will be there to welcome us with a sign outside the arrival hall. However, when we arrived there was no one from their company. It was crowded outside the arrival hall and we searched high and low for their representative. I texted Harry ( Cairo person-in-charge ) and he replied that someone would be there in 5 min. The 5 min wait turned into a 30 min wait. When Ali ( driver co-ordinator ) and Ahmed ( driver ) finally arrived there was no apology whatsoever.
Next, we paid the tour cost including tips for the drivers and Nile cruise crew on the first day of our arrival in Cairo. Harry confirmed that no other tips need to be paid ( except to tour guides who work on freelance basis ) On our last day Ali and Ahmed came to pick us up and send us to airport. When they dropped us off Ali told us to pay the driver tips. The airport is chaotic and we were in a hurry to quickly check in and rest ( ours was a red-eye flight ) So we gave Ali some money and left. After our check-in and when we could get some time to finally sit down and rest, we remembered that the tips had already been paid and there was no need for us to provide additional money.
We are very upset with the lack of professionalism and honesty from Ali. He was late to pick us up with no apology and demanded for more tips. He has damaged the reputation of your company with his poor work ethics.
Furthermore, the hotel we stayed in Cairo is Tolip Golden Plaza. From the exterior, the hotel looks fantastic. It is a different story once you enter. Staff are rude, cold and unhelpful. The room was dirty-There was food on the floor when we first entered. So we asked to change rooms. The next room was worse. The curtains could not close. Lamp had no light. The handle of the bathroom was damaged and could not open from the inside once closed. I was stuck inside the bathroom and had to shout for my family member to help open the door from the outside. The water in shower was burning hot ! ! ! There was no way to adjust it. My daughter got a shock from the burning water and cried. We called the hotel to come and solve these issues. The only one they managed to resolve was to bring a light bulb for the lamp. We asked them to help us book a taxi so we could head out for dinner. The front desk staff informed the taxi can only arrive next morning ! ! !
Then, our hot air balloon ride was cancelled due to bad weather. As we had already paid upfront we were due to get a refund. However Harry did not explain nor give any details. We had to keep asking for information. Harry created a Whatsapp group chat for all the travelers on this tour so he could have easily put the refund information for all to see but he did not. In addition, the cruise boat is old and cabin is in serious need of updating. Service is hit and miss - Some staff are friendly while others are cold and indifferent. Check out was problematic - They can accept USD payments. So we gave them USD in cash. But the staff said our bills had small dots on it and their Egyptian bank will not accept the bills. So we gave new clean notes. Then they came back to say they did not have change for USD. At this point, we were already standing at the front desk for 20 min. They only had change in Egyptian pounds and we said that was fine as we wanted to head back to the cabin to sleep. Karim Hassan from Front Desk was curt and impatient with us. Feedback to the cruise - Pls ensure you have sufficient change in USD when you say you accept USD payments. This will prevent unnecessary delays and waiting time for the customers. Pls also train your staff to have better customer service.
The only reason why we even gave 2 stars is that the guides ( Abdul and Saladino ) are excellent. They are knowledgeable and experienced. We learned a lot about Egyptian history from them. First star goes to them. The other star goes to the breakfast in the hotel which was sumptuous and had a huge variety. Other than that, there is nothing else positive we can say about this tour.
We will definitely not be taking your tour again and will not be recommending to anyone. If you are reading this review and keen to take this tour based on the other 5-star reviews you read, I highly suggest you think twice.

The hotels and logistics were extremely well organised and we were rarely waiting for buses or transportation.
The one major downside is the incorporation of tourist trap stores into the itinerary, the buses take you to businesses with inflated prices and pushy sellers. This is fine in moderation but almost once every day was too much and when it cut into time at actual tourist attractions or downtime on the cruise, the group was livid.
Additionally, the tour of the Nubian village should be avoided at all costs. The crocodiles living as 'pets' in grotesquely small cages is unconscionable and this type of tourism should not be condoned or supported. It's no different to petting sedated Tigers in S.E. Asia—it shouldn't ever be done. Beyondthenile Tours should find other partners in the villages to work with, who do not treat crocodiles so poorly,

Few of us arrived earlier than the rest of the group, Ahmed and his team planed amazing daily excursions fir us, really went beyond and above to take us any place we wanted, we had an amazing an experience. Abdul was our gullies while in Cairo and he is amazing! He is an archeologist and took part of some very significant archeological discoveries, he is a wealth of knowledge and we have learned a lot of behind the scene details especially when it comes to the oldest pianos where he worked for few years.
Cairo is incredible, we we are visiting over Christmas - New Year. I highly recommend this company and the people working there to anyone who is planning a trip to Egypt or Jordan, they really went beyond and above for us and we are having a great time!

If you are the type of person that shows up on time at the designated spot and therefore expect things to begin at the designated time, you will be frustrated. I obviously was. The group can only move as fast as it's slowest member and we certainly had one of those. We had one guest that consistently wandered off, ignored instructions and generally did whatever she wanted. This often led to us standing around for up to an hour, wondering where she was. I'm sure this is a difficult situation for the guys but they have to deal with it better. It's unfair. We were completely rushed through Karnak temple because our flight was delayed, but then we stood around after a tour of Luxor Temple for almost an hour because she had wandered to the bus by herself and not told anyone. We were delayed at every single site because of one guest. On our very last day and tour of the high dam, our guide asked the entire bus if we wanted to stop at a cement monolith dedicated to Soviet era friendship.... All of us said no, except that one guest!!! So we all sat on the bus for 30 minutes while she wandered off to take photos of cement. On that same day we were also driven to a perfume store that was not on the itinerary. Most of us stayed on the bus
It would be better to remove all of the shopping that is not listed and let us stay at the sites longer.
The boat, the buses, having the internal flights included... All excellent. But I would tell you to not book any of their extra excursions. If there's something you want to see, book a private tour. It was very frustrating waiting for the large group and being taken to shopping opportunities that we didn't ask for and we're not outlined on the itinerary.

This is in all respects a guided tour, so prospective travelers who like to be free to explore historical sites at their own leisure may not be happy with this option. (Additionally, every activity involves a stop at some local artisans shop where travelers are offered goods for sale, which can eat into time spent at the sites.) All the staff and tour guides were extremely helpful and friendly and definitely take the stress out of planning the week.

One guide during the Nile cruise moved away from the group and consequently the group were stranded at a temple. Luckily one tour member had wifi and was able to ring the tour coordinator for advice.
The days were often very long and the attention from hawkers relentless.
Advice and info from the Tour operators could have been better especially that some vendors required cash in Egyptian pounds only and that we needed to pay for most entries to temples, tombs etc and to bring cash for much tipping. Information on board the ship was very light with just an A4 piece of paper on the lobby notice board showing a brief overview of the day's timings.
On the positive side, the education on Ancient Egypt, the cruising down the Nile, the drivers and vehicles, the visit to Nubian Village, the tombs, pyramids, Sphinx and the Cairo Museum were all highlights!

The guide was great very well informed and on alert to ensure everyone was not only being looked after but also to sort and adapt and arrangements to make life on boat and tour go smoothly.

From Nasr in Cairo, to Saladino in Aswan we had intelligent informed hosts that gave so much detail about the cultures, history and people that you just felt you wanted more!
I have to say that also nothing was too much for the guides either. Whatever we asked for, such as popping to see the High Dam , or having sore eyes and needing eye drops, they just everything happen.
The taxi drivers were amazing, the boat crew fantastic!

All costs were not included in the original purchase price which is super annoying and causes financial difficulties as some banking processes appear to be blocked in Egypt.
Tips are to be given because some is exceptional; they are a gift. Nobody should be asking for Tips or requiring them to be paid or telling us how much per day is customary.
If tipping required in Egypt for people to do their jobs, then the tour company should consider it a business expense and include it in the price of the tour package.

The Tolip g Plaza hotel has disgusting food (but it's next to a mall that has about 50 restaurants, so go there for Thai food!)
The cruise provided the best food on the Egyptian night, so that's the food they should offer each night because they're good at it.
The first tour guide took us to a disgusting restaurant with food on the walls and floor. No faucet, just a dirty tube to wash our hands.
The second tour guide took me to a nice place but ordered for me and ordered meat which I don't eat and I was subsequently sick. This is after talking and writing to the company about this food requirement.
The third tour guide did find us a nice, clean restaurant with a view, which was wonderful. Ahmed Saladinu was kind and extraordinarily patient.
Also, the noise level on the ship was ridiculous. They allowed guys on smaller boats to hitch a ride and yell at the passengers for hours. Any time I tried to take a nap there were people yelling at the tip of their lungs outside my window. Nobody from the cruise ship told them to be quiet... super frustrating.
Positives: the ship was clean and provided excellent, beautiful views of pristine Nile habitats.
The Balloon tour was amazing and superbly organized, peaceful, and safe.
