Did you have a good experience on your trip with your guide? If you'd like, you can give them a tip as a way to express your gratitude.

Everything was co-ordinated so well. Our drivers in between experiences were there as soon as we were ready, amazing knowledge and assistance. Wonderful value, kindness from the team and always willing to assist. Couldn't recommend more highly. Thank you so much to Beyond the Nile Tours.

They were very communicative throughout the whole tour, always open to questions. We were very lucky to be a very small group (3 of us) it was great honestly. Safety was a big concern for us, and we are very glad we felt safe throughout the entire length of our stay. Upon arrival, we were met by our transport guy, he had already communicated prior to our arrival. The van was in good condition, comfortable and more importantly had A/C (in fact, all transport vans were comfortable, in great shape, and had great A/C). We met with Ahmed (Harry) and everything was explained to us, check in was a breeze. The hotel (Tolip Plaza) was alright, please don't expect too much, its ok based on the time you'll be staying there. There are several places to eat and hangout around the hotel - walking distance. Don't be scared, give it a try, specially the spot called Hookah (great hookah and really good chicken tenders with great customer service).
We toured the Old Cairo and Museum of Civilization. Our guide (please forgive us, I cannot remember his name) was very knowledgeable, friendly, and chatty. Our guide for the pyramids was great too, very knowledgeable, friendly, and chatty (funny older gentleman). We loved our cruising on the Nile. We sailed on Royal Olivia (you can tell is an older boat) again don't expect no 5 stars boat because you'll be disappointed. The boat was alright, the staff was very attentive, especially the guys at the bar. The back glass door open giving the feeling of a balcony, depending on how low your deck is, the closer you'll be to experiencing the boat hustlers (or pirates, how we called them). It was all a great experience. Our guide through the Nile and most of the tour was Mahmoud, again friendly, chatty, informative, approachable; all types of great. The cruise offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner but ONLY at selected times. It functions for about 1.30 hours and there is no food available in between those times.
MUST KNOW: the food was the biggest downfall of our experience, all through Egypt. We got stomach sick for most of the days because our stomach wouldn't agree with the food. Please come prepare (brings your pills, powders, anything that will help calm your tummy, or make it feel better. If you chose to bring neck fans, I honestly believe you will be wasting your time and money, because the heat is too much, unless you can get a fan that blows air with ice (good look finding ice to use on that). PLEASE PLEASE bring sunscreen with you! PLEASE PLEASE bring a hat with you, or anything you chose to cover your eyes/head from the sun (especially if you wear glasses - the sun will kill you. I learned the hard way). Throughout the tour you will experience the street hustlers that do not know anything about boundaries and personal space. They will be naggy, and it will get to a point that it will become upsetting to you..do not let that ruin your day, your experience. Ignore them, and carry on!!!!!! Upon arrival you will have to pay a set amount per person for tips (like $160 or $180 per person) that is to cover tips for the guides and the cruise staff, which is not a bad deal for the amount of days and attention they provide. Please know that you can pay for upgrades, ask if interested. Also, Uber works in Egypt (dirt cheap), don't be afraid to visit other areas like restaurants if inclined to. When booking this tour, I would recommend that you book the one that flights from Cairo to Luxor rather than the one that goes from Cairo to Aswan. I'll explain, flying into Luxor gives you and extra days on the boat (total of 5 days) activities are not as rushed, as it will feel if you flight to Aswan (pretty much doing the same activities but in 4 days instead). When having early day/morning activities you will be getting breakfast boxes/bags containing cold cuts sandwiches, yogurt, fruits (we couldn't eat it) just be mentally prepared and also have your stomach ready.
RECCOMMENDATIONS FOR THE TOUR ADMINISTRATORS: for cold water (beverages in general) to be provided during tours (cost included in the tour price). On the last day of the cruise, why book a flight back to Cairo (at least from Aswan) so late (at around 8pm), when we had finished our activities that day at around noon (more or less). We sat on the boat for hours without anything to do (if flying early to Cairo we could perhaps enjoy some more of Cairo before flying back home the next day).
We do recommend this tour to anyone that's looking to going to Egypt, just be ready for those little things I mentioned!

From the airport pickup to the hotels, everything was perfectly arranged. The domestic flights were on time, and the schedules were systematic and well organized. Everything went smoothly as planned. The drivers to the sites, as well as the transfer drivers, were excellent — always punctual, professional, and courteous.
Who could fail to notice Abdul, our guide on the second day? From the majestic Pyramids of Giza to the magnificent Grand Egyptian Museum, he did an incredible job explaining everything in detail. His sense of humour and engaging personality brought the group together and made the journey back to the time of the pharaohs and kings even more exciting.
Medhat also did an outstanding job, carefully explaining each site as we visited one great temple after another, including the breathtaking Valley of the Kings. He tirelessly carried out his role as a guide, helping us truly feel the spirit of the era when those magnificent structures were built and used.
The River Nile cruise was second to none. The food was amazing, and the staff were cheerful, attentive, and always ready to help.
I must say the entire experience surpassed my expectations. There is still so much more to learn and see, and for that reason, I will certainly be returning — this time with friends and family.
Thank you Radar Tours and your Egypt partner Nourbelles Tours. You did an excellent job.
Until the next trip,

Excellent host, Harry was a gem, he organized everything so well A+ host! Tour guides were trained archeologists who had worked in the field and were so knowledgeable, and treated us all so well.😊
Excellent tour of the important sites in Egypt and also cultural exposure through horse carriage rides, restaurant dining, etc.

Well designed, scheduled and conducted. Nice, comfortable ship. Fellow passengers were delightful
Absolutely amazing. Beyond imagination and expectation.
Very well organized tour covering majority of the sites with friendly and knowledgeable tour guides.
The flight from Cairo to Aswan was at 4:45 am. We left the hotel at 3 am. It’s was early morning. However, we almost missed the flight.
It should be a later flight not that early.

I felt safe and looked after for a full 8 days. Accommodation was very nice in Cairo, Hurghada but the boat was really spectaculat. Beautiful view of the Nile and really outstanding food. Both our guides Abdul and Medhat wete really knowledgeable and made the trip so much more than just a sightseeing .
We went to many temples including Abu Simble and Nubian Village. Definitely worth paying rxtra for.
If you are worried about safety please DONT . The worst thing that happend is street vendors trying to sell souvenirs. Our guides even helped with that.
I would like to thank you from the bottom of my hear from both of us gor making this trip one of the modt memorable and we travel very often.

He helped us with several request that were not part of the initial plan. He was always making sure that everything was being to our satisfaction. Ali, our tour guide during the cruise was fenomenal. He told us the history of the different places we visited with a lot of passion. He also was always making sure we had everything we needed. By his own initiative He even organized a celebration while we were having dinner one night for our wedding anniversary. A great man that represents his country very, very well.
The tour itself is very complete. The cruising of the Nile very pleasant.
Overall 5 starts in organization and delivery from Beyond the Nile Tours.
We would recommend doing this tour to anyone interested in visiting the great places of Egypt and learning about its history.

Abdul the tour guide in Cairo is very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing that knowledge. He does so with consistency and clarity, making it easy for those of us with little knowledge to be able to follow along. The accommodations are quite comfortable. However the hotel is clearly designed as a tour mill, with little personalized service provided and responsiveness to issues poor. However, the service on the cruise ship was outstanding. They were very friendly, attentive and responsive.
The sites included are fascinating and crowded. We would have been happy to get up and going earlier to beat the crowds and heat. We were regularly explained about what we would see inside a structure, but told that the the guide couldn’t go in with us. However, when inside there were other guides providing explanations. So not sure why some could and some couldn’t. The additional cost for the balloon ride was a highlight of the trip. However, the river crossing and van convoy was not necessary at 4-5 am. It appeared that we could have left at 5:30 rathe rthan 4am and easily made the liftoff time which was 7am, well after sunrise. The military has to approve liftoff for the 30+ balloons, therefore it is uncertain. Our balloon pilot was excellent as we glided close to the ruins and rose to get a high altitude view. We were surprised at the size of the basket (20+ people) but that didn’t hamper our experience. We would not do the Light show in Luxor or the Nubian Village (Both are addons) But the other add-ons were worth it.
We truly enjoyed this once in a lifetime experience and would do it again. Our issue was our lack of knowledge because it was a last minute trip for us. So we would highly recommend people to do their homework before the trip. There is a lot to absorb and not necessarily intuitive.

From transportation, including cars and boats, to the itinerary itself, everything was carefully arranged, making it a comfortable trip even for a first-time visitor to Egypt. The tour enabled me to visit sites that I had thought would be difficult to arrange on my own, so I’m really glad I chose this option.
Additionally, my guide Mahmoud was fantastic! He was flexible with unexpected changes, such as flight delays from Cairo, and optional tours, ensuring I enjoyed myself throughout the trip. His hospitality was exceptional—always making thoughtful suggestions and ensuring that I had a great time, creating many wonderful memories. I definitely want to return to Egypt, and I look forward to joining a tour of this company again when I do!

I've never left a negative review online until now. It's difficult in part because, despite being a completely shoddy operation, this company somehow manages to employ some very decent people who work hard, are knowledgeable, and otherwise pleasant to be around (thank you especially to Abdou Othman and drivers in the north, one of the best tour guides you will find anywhere). That about ends the positive aspects, save for the rich history and rather amazing sights you visit. After Cairo/Giza, this tour is mostly garbage and the advertising behind it largely false (Luxor - Edfu City - Aswan, or what I have since dubbed "Beggar's Alley").
1) 8 Day Tour is in reality 5 or 6 days: Day 1: Arrival, nothing else. Day 8: Leave, nothing else. And, if you're especially lucky like me and the person I was paired with, here is Day 7: Check out of ship cabin no later than 8am. Itinerary indicates a mostly busy day with evening flight to Cairo. Reality: get told in early morning that you will have to wait while company retrieves incoming guest from local airport. Spend 4+ hours staring at the wall becoming increasingly infuriated. Get told by tour guide who eventually comes back that it must be "so comfortable" and how wonderful air conditioning is. Mind you, one might just stay here in California were comfort of primary interest. I didn't travel halfway around the world for the "comforts" of Egypt. Experience a 20 minute or so rushed tour of a temple followed by 10-15 minutes at a fragrance store, then dumped at airport for 1530 "evening" flight.
2) Beggars, Grifters, and Resulting Prisoner Status: The ship is nice enough, food decent though monotonous, and service mostly good (the inevitable hands come out for a few bucks despite you and them knowing you've paid for their tips in advance), but you are otherwise captive when not touring a local site (typical day is maybe 3-4 hours of activity). You cannot walk 5 feet away from the ship on your own without being mobbed by a bunch of men, women, children, with the women oftentimes shoving their sickly looking children in your face, all harassing you and trying to get you to buy some lame stuff that nobody wants. Apparently this is meant to inspire feelings of sympathy, but in reality simply makes me hate these people all the more...have travelled in some equally if not poorer areas, but such lack of dignity and self-respect I have not previously experienced. The government seriously needs to round these people up and drive them to the middle of the desert or what have you, anywhere not around tourists as they are completely obnoxious and otherwise horrible.
3) Additional (extra cost) trips: The sticker price of this tour is wholly deceptive. If you like being active for more than a few hours a day, plus the inevitable tips (people in this country expect a tip for saying hello, lifting a finger in assistance, using the bathroom, getting your lighter through airport security, and on and on and on), the real cost is at least 3 times as much. The amounts in question are pretty meaningless to your average American or European able to travel abroad, but endlessly annoying to say the least.
1) Sound and Light Show (Luxor): Not much light and the sound is mostly inaudible due to awful acoustics. Waste of time and money.
2) Hot Air Balloon Ride: Awesome, operation run smoothly likely because it was an altogether different company than these jokers.
3) Nubian Village: Complete Horror Show. Our guide claimed to not like the heat and so delayed our departure by 2.5-3 hours (again, prisoner time aboard ship) after everybody else left. As for the visit to the typical Nubian household, do not go. First red flag: while exploring on my own, a man and woman of household began screaming at each other with me standing like 5 feet away. Weird. You then are offered the privilege of seeing crocodiles. Mind you, this consists of two tiny indoor cages, one of which holds a mid-size crocodile that can barely move and the other several babies. Apparently they will wait a bit and then kill and eat the larger one. This was a truly horrific site and one that in all likelihood appeals to nobody save the great destroyers of all things majestic, the Chinese. I would sooner free the crocodiles and lock these horrible people in said pens. Some nice shops exist, but they were mostly closing/closed by the time we arrived.
In summary, this company is a complete joke and best avoided. If you really want to see the Pyramids, I would strongly recommend travelling somewhere reasonably civilized such as Spain, Italy, or Greece, then take a short flight into Cairo, see Giza, and then get out as quickly as possible. This country has so much to offer but with companies like this it is no wonder they are in their present shape.

What made our tour even better was our guide for the Nile River cruise (the majority of the tour), Medhat. He was very informative and accommodating. I learned so much. I had to have driven him crazy with all of my history questions, but he just smiled and answered every one of them. In addition to the base Tour, if I had other interest, he found a way to arrange them he also helped if we had personal needs, like getting a MiFi device (the cruise ship's WiFi didn't work with iPhones). It really made the cruise time wonderful as he was always going above and beyond!

Our tour guide, Mahmoud, was excellent! He was Extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Egyptian temples and had no problem answering the thousands of questions that we had. Since he is Egyptian, he was able to show and speak proudly of the culture and traditions of the Egyptian people. He was very organized and all parts of our trip went smoothly. He made sure that we were safe at all times and always made sure that if we wanted to do something outside the itinerary, he assisted us so that we would be safe. His great sense of humor kept us laughing the entire time. I highly, highly recommend this trip and our tour guide Mahmoud.

Operated by Beyond The Nile Tours
On my side this was a last minute decision and booking. I have always wanted to go to Egypt and this tour I would definitely recommend - for group or solo traveller's like myself.
Excellent service and engagement from the Beyond The Nile team from before the tour to the very last moment when they transfer you back to the airport to return home. Ahmed (Harry) ensures that all runs smoothly, all are informed and attended to.
We were 3 ladies in the group and had an amazing trip.
Day 1: I was received at the airport and transferred to the hotel by Ahmed to meet Harry. With Abdul as our guide, we went on the Old Cairo tour to view the churches, synagogue and mosques. Beautiful buildings with a rich history. Next the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization with beautiful displays and viewing of numerous mummies. Abdul's knowledge and explanations were insightful and informative. Great guide.
Day 2: Dr Nasr was our guide to Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx and Papyrus Institute. He has a broad knowledge, I really enjoyed Dr Nasr as our guide. I was unfortunately not able to complete the tour to the Eygtian Museum of Antiquities due to ill health. Dr Nasr and the Beyond The Nile team sprung into action arranged a taxi back to the hotel for me. They tracked they taxi, stayed in contact with the driver and confirmed arrival at hotel. Harry also contacted me to enquire if I required a doctor. Huge shout out to Harry and the Beyond The Nile team, you are 👏🏻 appreciated. Thank you.
Day 3: Quick flight to Luxor where we were met by Mahmoud, our guide for the cruise down the Nile on the Royal Siganture Olivia.
We visited the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut or as one guest called it (hot chicken soup to remember it). Light show at Karnak Temple in the evening.
Day 4: Early morning hot air balloon adventure over the Valley of the Kings and Queen Hatshepsut). Beautiful.
Visited Karnak and Luxor temples before cruising down the Nile towards Edfo and Aswan. Life along the Nile is serene, children splashing and playing on the side of the river. People gathering and enjoying the water, and each other company, music, food, etc.
Day 5: Visited Edfu Temple and Kom Ombo Temple. Onward to Aswan. The Egyptian party onboard was fabulous. Each guest made an effort to get into character and enjoy the evening to the fullest.
Day 6: Abu Sambel Temple is awe inspiring, it is a must see. The high dam is an impressive feat of engineering providing 9% of Egyptian power.
Sunset boat ride and visit to the Nubian Village, of brilliant blue and white colour's. Local camel milk cheeses and molasses with bread. Market trading spices, teas, and much more.
Day 7: Philae temple and Essence perfume shop visited. Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Cairo
Mahmoud is an excellent guide with great energy. He is very attentive to all guests, goes the extra mile providing guidance, arranging sim cards, negotiating with vendors, ensuring all arrangements run smoothly, even taking guests to MacDonalds if needed, etc. He has a friendly, professional manner. We really enjoyed having him has our guide. We are part of the Habibi family now.
The Royal Signature Oliva staff are professional, attentive and friendly. It was a fantastic cruise down the Nile on all fronts.
Day 8: Alexandria city visit to the beautiful Catacombs, Roman theatre, Gaitbel Citadel and delicious seafood lunch at the Brazino's restaurant on the Mediterranean. Dr Nasr was my guide and as before very insightful, interesting, and engaging day. Dr Nasr is a wealth of knowledge and has a great way of explaining the history of the sites visited and answering questions asked.
To Ahmed (Harry), all the guides, drivers and the entire Beyond The Nile team a HUGE Thank you for making my trip to Egypt so Amazing!!. You all do an excellent job, I appreciate you all! 🌻

The instructions we received were very clear and the trip was run very smoothly. We were welcomed at the airport and subsequently met with Harry himself. Harry sat down with us to talk through the itinerary and he guided us throughout our stay in Cairo. We also had a tour guide Abdul, who was incredibly knowledgeable. Now it all makes sense, the history of Egypt, ancient religions and history regarding pyramids etc. We made our way to Aswan and were received by our new host and tourguide Mahmoud. Mahmoud is a legend in every sense. He is so kind, easy going, funny and made us all feel so welcomed, looked after and comfortable throughout the rest of the trip and onboard the cruise. Mahmood really made sure that all our needs were catered for and looked out for us both individually and as a group. Mahmoud too is very knowledgeable about Egyptology and is an incredible storyteller, networker and very charming. This made the whole experience just so much more top notch. We asked Harry to extend our stay in Egypt with visits in other cities too. We feel we have seen all the highlights of Egypt and have travelled through Egypt by car, land and water. We could not wish for anything more. We liked the nubian village and karnak temple the most. Visiting the karnak temples at night during the light show is a different experience worth having. My personal 2nd favourite temple was philies temple, because of its location but I also liked Edfu temple. Egypt has some authentic products, it is worth considering. We were really sad to leave the cruise ship as we have really connected with the staff crew who were nothing but wonderful! I would highly recommend extending your stay in Egypt to help you unwind and soak in the culture you have experienced during this trip.

Special shout out to our amazing guide Mahmoud who was the star of our trip.
From day dot he greeted us with such an energetic attitude which continued throughout the trip.
His knowledge and passion for his Egyptian culture was truly inspiring and made the trip that much more interesting.
He went above and beyond daily to make sure we were having the best time & we were well looked after. No problem to big or too small or no question to silly.
If you’re lucky enough like we were to get Mahmoud as your guide, just know you are in great hands.
Thank you Mahmoud & Tour radar!
