Rome to Venice
You'll meet your tour group in Rome this morning, then travel to Venice to see Italy's floating city. The canals are everywhere, and you'll want to catch sight of the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square as you walk around. Your evening is yours to spend however you'd like, or you can join an optional gondola ride and dinner if that interests you.

Ljubljana - Zagreb
You're heading to Ljubljana, Slovenia's capital, where a local guide will walk you through the city's natural beauty and architecture. After that, you'll travel to Zagreb, Croatia's capital, for another orientation walk showing off its mix of Hapsburg and Communist-era buildings. Check into your hotel later and have dinner this evening.

Lake Balaton - Budapest
Today takes you across the border into Hungary with a scenic stop at Lake Balaton on the way. - Day 4
Bratislava - Vienna
You'll head to Bratislava, Slovakia's capital, surrounded by mountains and vineyards. An orientation tour includes trying to spot Bratislava Castle, then you continue on to Vienna. You're exploring Austria's capital on both a walking and driving tour, seeing classical buildings, concert halls, museums, and palaces. Dinner tonight is authentic Viennese cuisine at a local restaurant.

Vienna
You've got the day to yourself in Vienna, which means you can wander around however you like. If history interests you, Schönbrunn Palace is there as an option to check out on your own time. Or if classical music is more your thing, you can catch a Mozart concert followed by a three-course dinner at the Schönbrunn Palace Orangery. The choice is totally yours for how to spend it.

Then you travel to Berlin for a walking tour covering the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, and Checkpoint Charlie. Dinner at a local restaurant wraps things up.

Berlin to Amsterdam
You're leaving Germany and heading to the Netherlands today. As you travel, the landscape shifts to windmills and waterways before you reach Amsterdam. Check into your hotel, get settled, and have dinner at a local restaurant. The rest of your evening is open for checking out bars, cafés, or whatever catches your interest.

Amsterdam
You'll start with a guided canal cruise where you'll learn about Amsterdam's history and how the city's architecture developed along the waterways. After the cruise, the afternoon and evening are open for you to do what interests you. You can head to Anne Frank House, the Rijksmuseum, or the Van Gogh Museum if you want to spend time indoors. Alternatively, there's an optional excursion out to the Dutch countryside where you'll visit Volendam and Zaanse Schans to see how locals make cheese and clogs, and you'll get to see the old windmills that are still around these villages.
