The Adventure Pass is USD 100. The Adv Pass budgets for visit to the Matopas National park including gamedrive. It is not possible to pay the AP in part. We book the Matopas visit in advance and use a local operator to enter and gamedrive within the park. If you do not wish to pay the AP then you can relax at camp for the day. We cannot offer a single supplement; accommodation is twin share. If you are travelling alone we would place you with another passenger of the same sex. If we don't have any other same sex solo passengers in the group then you would have single accommodation at no additional charge.

I am very interested in this tour! I am thinking of flying into Pretoria a couple of days before the tour begins and staying in a hotel or hostel, does the tour guide pick us up from our location in Pretoria? Once the tour ends in Livingston, Zambia- is it easy to book a taxi to get to the airport? My last question is will this tour accommodate any hiking? Will it give us the opportunity to do hiking? I love hiking and i would love to do some hiking during this tour too :)

We can book an airport transfer and pre tour accommodation in Pretoria before the tour departs. Most people arrive a day or so before the tour begins so that is no problem. At Livingstone - it is easy to arrange a taxi to the airport. Actually no, there is not a great deal of hiking in this tour. It is largely vehicle based.

I found this to be such a touching experience. I really enjoyed being immersed into the culture and wildlife shown to me by each guide we came across, particularly Justin our leader and Gladman our driver. It is an optional add-on for this tour and should you not wish to partake then you can remain at the base camp while the group visits the park. This is an accommodated tour and you will be staying in twin sharing rooms. This itinerary has no camping nights and we do not offer single supplements on our overland tours. If you are travelling as a single person, you will be roomed with another client of the same gender.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before April 5th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after April 5th, 2026, a minimum payment of $300 is required to confirm your booking with Acacia Adventure Holidays. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 61 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
