Will I be able to see the mass migration if I go in July/August?

We cannot guarantee any sightings of the great migration, as wildlife is very unpredictable. If the opportunity arises, timing, weather and location dependent, while out on safari/game drive, there may be a possibility to see large herds of animals.

What is the Adventure Pass?

Every Acacia Overland tour has an Adventure Pass which is paid to your tour leader in Africa at the beginning of the tour (or pre-paid by arrangement prior to your tour). This is separate and in addition to the Tour Price, and covers selected park entries, activities and excursions along the way where payment goes directly to the supplier to ensure local suppliers benefit directly from the income.

The Uganda portion was excellent. Great guides, good food, no complaints other than it involves a lot of driving, but of course there's no way around that unless you fly on your own. Highly recommend Acacia for the portion they operate. Unfortunately the local operator they used for the Mara was pretty miserable. The vans they used were incredibly uncomfortable and woefully inadequate for the terrain. We missed some viewing opportunities because of how slow they drove. Unless Acacia starts using operators with better vehicles I cannot recommend doing the Masai Mara portion with them, you would be better off booking your own.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 9th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 9th, 2026, a minimum payment of $300 is required to confirm your booking with Acacia Adventure Holidays. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 61 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
