The Uganda portion was excellent. Great guides, good food, no complaints other than it involves a lot of driving, but of course there's no way around that unless you fly on your own. Highly recommend Acacia for the portion they operate.
Unfortunately the local operator they used for the Mara was pretty miserable. The vans they used were incredibly uncomfortable and woefully inadequate for the terrain. We missed some viewing opportunities because of how slow they drove. Unless Acacia starts using operators with better vehicles I cannot recommend doing the Masai Mara portion with them, you would be better off booking your own.
From J'Burg all the way to Nairobi was a fantastic journey with Acacia. I have had the best time throughout the 30 days on this overland trip. Pete, the tour guide is awesome and well-organised. Pete, the tour guide is awesome and well-organised. Francis, the driver is the super funny and friendly. They've really made the trip to another level. What's more is their cooking, oh my god, we are so spoiled. When I have a chance, I will definitely jump on another overland truck with Acacia.

We were very well looked after and with Pete and Francis we had both a great guide and a safe driver. Whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, it was always tasty and varied.
