    Which airport do you recommend flying in to?

      The tour starts and ends in London, so we recommend booking your flights into and out of London Heathrow Airport (LHR), as it is the largest international airport with the most flight options and convenient transport links into central London.

      You may also consider London Gatwick (LGW) if you find a better airfare, as both airports provide easy access to the city. However, Heathrow is generally the most convenient choice for international travelers.

      The main difference between the 8-day and 10-day Britain and Ireland Delight tour is the accommodation in London.

      The 10-day tour includes:
      1 night accommodation in London before the tour starts (with breakfast)
      1 night accommodation in London after the tour ends (with breakfast)

      The 8-day tour includes only the guided tour itself and does not include the pre- or post-tour hotel stays in London. You would need to arrange those accommodations independently.

      Please note that for the tour departure, we require arriving in London at least one day before the tour starts, as the tour departs early on the morning of Day 1. This is why the 10-day option includes a pre-tour overnight stay, making it a more convenient choice for many travelers.

    I am wondering if in Edinburgh we get to enter Edinburgh Castle and Holyroodhouse? It would be disappointing to travel all that way (from Australia) and not be able to look inside each. The same with any such places in other parts of the UK/Ireland.

      On the Costsaver Britain and Ireland Delight tour, sightseeing in Edinburgh includes an orientation tour featuring highlights such as Princes Street, the Royal Mile, the Scottish Parliament Building, and views of Edinburgh Castle. However, entry to Edinburgh Castle is not included in the standard tour itinerary and is typically offered as an optional Choice Experience (Edinburgh Castle Experience).

      Holyroodhouse Palace is not included in the itinerary, and there is no scheduled visit within the tour program. If time permits during your free time in Edinburgh, you may wish to visit independently.

      Similarly, throughout the tour, many historic attractions, castles, and cultural sites are viewed externally or explored during orientation tours, while selected site visits may be available as optional Choice Experiences. Examples include Edinburgh Castle, Rosslyn Chapel, the Titanic Experience in Belfast, and Cardiff Castle.

      If we were wanting to arrive earlier (a day or so depending on our flight times, etc., do you think it best to stay in the accomodation where the tour starts from?

      If you are planning to arrive a day or two before the tour starts, we would generally recommend staying at the tour's starting hotel. Doing so can make the beginning of your trip much more convenient, as you'll already be at the meeting location and won't need to worry about transferring hotels on the day the tour begins.

      The pre accommodation is currently at Park Plaza London Park Royal with a cost of AUD 228.00 per person in a Twin Room.
