  For the Patagonia Hiking Tour, would you please give me a general idea of the distance and elevation gain of each day's hike.

    Daily Hiking Overview
    Day 2 Base Torres - 22 km roundtrip - 7–9 hrs - 750 m
    Day 3 Central → Serón - 19 km. - 5–7 hrs - 400 m
    Day 4 Serón → Dickson - 18 km - 6–7 hrs - 720 m
    Day 5 Dickson → Perros - 13 km - 5–6 hrs - 600 m
    Day 6 Perros → Grey - 18 km - 8–10 hrs - 1000 m
    Day 8 Grey → Paine Grande - 11 km - Approx. 5 hrs - 400 m
    Day 9 Paine Grande → Valle Francés → Cuernos - 17 km - 8–9 hrs - 500 m
    
    Hiking times can vary depending on weather conditions, trail conditions, and overall group pace.
    
    Weather in Patagonia is extremely unpredictable and can change very quickly from sunshine to rain and strong winds. Waterproof gear and layered clothing are highly recommended.
    
    There is no option to skip most trekking days on the O Circuit once inside the park, so travellers should be prepared for consecutive hiking days regardless of weather conditions.
    
    All refugios/lodges have electricity and showers except Los Perros Camp (Day 5), which is the most basic campsite and does not have hot water or charging facilities.
    
    Most refugios have small shops selling snacks, drinks, toiletries, wine, beer, and warm beverages. Credit cards are accepted at many refugios, though cash is recommended as some locations apply additional card surcharges.
    
    Wi-Fi may be available at some refugios, though it is limited, expensive, and generally suitable only for basic messaging or emails.
    
    Hiking poles are permitted in carry-on luggage provided sharp ends are covered.
    
    Box lunches are included during trekking days and typically consist of wraps/sandwiches, snacks, fruit, and drinks with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available.
    
    On the free day at Grey Glacier, optional kayaking or glacier hiking excursions may be available locally (weather dependent and subject to minimum numbers).
    
    Large luggage can be safely stored at the hotel in Puerto Natales during the trek.
    
    Drones are not permitted within the national park.
    
    Porter services for additional luggage may be available upon request and would need to be arranged through the local operations team.
    
    Overall, this is a rewarding but physically demanding trekking experience, particularly on Day 6 which is considered one of the toughest hiking days due to the distance, elevation, and terrain.

  I am really hoping to find a fully guided group tour to Patagonia (including Fitz Roy, perito mini ice trekking, etc). And am wondering if there is any available trips I can join between the dates of March 12-21, 2026. I'd also like to know if there's an option to customize and add Torres Nat'l Park to a trip.

    Our Patagonia itineraries are designed for active travellers, but you certainly don't need to be an athlete to enjoy the experience. Many of our guests are in their 50s and 60s and successfully complete the trip with good preparation and a positive mindset. In terms of hiking, you can expect several day hikes that range from moderate to challenging. These typically involve walking on uneven terrain, gravel paths, and occasional steep sections, with hikes lasting anywhere from 3 to 8 hours depending on the day and the route chosen. While some hikes are optional, the most iconic experiences—such as those in Torres del Paine or El Chaltén—are best enjoyed if you're comfortable with longer walking days. To prepare, we recommend: Building up your cardiovascular fitness with regular walking, hiking, cycling, or swimming. Practising longer walks on uneven or hilly terrain where possible. Strengthening your legs and core, as this will help with balance and endurance. Ensuring you have well-worn, supportive hiking boots before the trip. Packing layered clothing, as Patagonia's weather can change quickly throughout the day. Your Chief Experience Officer (CEO) will always brief the group thoroughly before each hike, and there is a strong focus on safety, pacing, and enjoying the journey rather than rushing. In many locations, there are alternative options or the ability to opt out of longer hikes if needed.

    This tour is available to any one 12+ years old, and there is no maximum age requirement. However, please note the following physical rating for this tour: 4 - Demanding (4 out of 5). Some high-altitude hikes or more strenuous activities, but accessible to most healthy travellers. Included activities are generally several hours of physical activity most days. Travellers who are in average shape should be able to manage. Training is recommended if travellers are not already active.

  Can we leave one day early on Jan 3rd to fly back to New York from Buene Aires? If it is ok, what time should we plan for the Jan 3rd flight back home?

    The group will be flying back from El Calafate to Buenos Aires on the second last day January 3rd. The group should be back into Buenos Aires probably in the late afternoon/ Early Evening I would say roughly around 4pm.

    The flight from El Calafate to Bueneo Aires is to the EZE airport, correct? So if I book from leaving from EZE airport after 7pm on the Jan 3rd, it should be ok?

    Yes they normally will fly into EZE airport but do keep in mind flights can change at anytime and that could include a change to a different airport.

    Our rooming default is twin rooming with somebody of the same gender, so you would not have to pay an additional supplement if you did not want to. Alternatively, adding My Own Room option for this tour, you will receive your own single room for all night stops. Your tour leader will ensure New Years Eve is as special as it can be!
