The best months to hike Acatenango Volcano (Guatemala) are during the dry season, which runs from: November to April (Best overall conditions) Why this period is best: Clearer skies ⇒ better views of Volcán Fuego's eruptions Lower chance of rain Safer trail conditions (less mud, better footing) Better sunrise/sunset visibility Peak Ideal Months: December to February – Very clear mornings, but colder at the summit March to early April – Excellent visibility, slightly warmer nights On this itinerary, the Acatenango hike is scheduled on Day 12, and will be co-ordinating with the CEO on tour.

Could you tell me the demographics (ages) of people who have booked?

Demographics as follows - Jan 22 - 3 females booked together, all early 2000's Jan 24 - 10 confirmed, 8 born in the 2000's, 2 born 1990's, European/Oceania mix nationalities Feb 14 - 3 confirmed, all separate, 2 born 1990's, 1 born 2000's, all European.

If I do not include the activities like the volcan at first, can I change my mind during the tour and then pay for It? During the whole tour, we sleep in a private room? Including the hostels? If we want to ep activities like Tulum, do you help us with that?

Accommodation will be varied throughout your adventure. Some nights on this tour will be multi-share. This may involve 4-6 group members sharing and even (on rare occasions) dormitory-style rooms for the whole group. The majority of accommodation will have shared bathroom facilities. Your tour leader will assist with all activities to do whilst on trip including the Volcano and Tulum.

Can I use my card for purchases during the tour?

While cards are generally accepted, you should confirm with your bank prior to the tour for international usability. Always have a backup cash option.

Hello, I feel that the age range is very broad, and in my case, I was 36, which created a big difference with the rest of the group. On the other hand, there are places like San Ignacio where, if you don't go to the caves, there's not much to do, and it even feels unsafe. Likewise, in Flores, more time should be allocated because it's said to be very beautiful, and you don't get to see much. Also, while the guide's attitude was amazing, there were many things they didn't know or were lacking.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 4th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 4th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
