    Asked on February 12th, 2026

On which day is it possible to do the hike on Acatenango? On day 10 to 11 or on the last day? I'm asking because i'm looking for possible flights and These Hike is a Must do for me.

    Flights / Transfers
    Tour Details
    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2026

The best months to hike Acatenango Volcano (Guatemala) are during the dry season, which runs from:
November to April (Best overall conditions)
      Why this period is best:
Clearer skies ⇒ better views of Volcán Fuego's eruptions
      Lower chance of rain
Safer trail conditions (less mud, better footing)
      Better sunrise/sunset visibility

      Peak Ideal Months:
December to February – Very clear mornings, but colder at the summit
March to early April – Excellent visibility, slightly warmer nights

On this itinerary, the Acatenango hike is scheduled on Day 12, and will be co-ordinating with the CEO on tour.
