  Mixed review, I felt it was overpriced for what was offered and included, it felt like everyday was a ‘free day’ with nothing planned. As the ground had people who’d started the tour earlier and already met it felt strange joining later solo, hard to integrate. Often felt like I found more authentic better value options than those offered by guide.Show more

While the subject of value varies greatly for each person, we do our best to set expectations ahead of tour purchase- and time away- with outlining the inclusions for our tours in our online landing pages. We are sorry to read of your issues with integrating with a group that had been travelling together prior to you joining, and our guides do their best to make every effort for group cohesion when new members join. We will be sure to share this feedback with your guide, and we thank you for that critique. Travellers might find activities that cost less in country, those offered by Intrepid are required to meet our strict safety standards and can be more expensive due to training and on-hand services (oxygen machines, the use of satelite phones, life jacket adherences/quality, etc).   Solely because of the fact that I was mislead and wasn’t given the opportunity to see what options were made...
  Solely because of the fact that I was mislead and wasn’t given the opportunity to see what options were made available at the destinations. The fact traveling over the festive season we were made to feel not to enjoy ourselves. Our tour leader was rude to waiter staff, bus drivers, hotel staff etc. This made me feel uncomfortable as traveling has its mishaps! That’s just it. I’ve got a lot of solo back packing but after this experience I won’t be going with another tour group for some time.Show more

  Sofie is a great guid she put a lot of edfort to amkebus enjoy the trip and she is one of your best guids im sure. the tour was nice, but still its not cool to give accommodations which are under construction most of them, its so annoying to try to go to sleep while someone banging on your head. Why try to save on our account while we paid you a lot? I would’ve been more happy to recieve more options for tours at the trip because there was mainly one option or two and we had no choice but to do it. I was surprised to find out there is no meals including while when i booked the trip i did see that there was meals.Show more

  The itinerary is great, I felt we spent the right amount of days at each place. Taking into consideration that the hotels were meant to be basic, I found some of them to be better than I expected. Transportation was varied between large/small mini-buses and public bus. They were all comfortable and travel time was no longer than 4-5 hours between destinations. Our guide Jorge was amazing. He had a vast amount of knowledge about every destination and was very informative on the optional activities. He's a very experienced guide and knows people in each of the destinations so I feel he was able to recommend the best experiences at the best prices. He was determined to make sure we enjoyed our trip and was even flexible with the itinerary making it possible for us to take a 2-day hike to volcano Acatenango. He is very organized and was very engaged with every member of our group. He arranged evening group meetings to inform us of travel plans before going to another destination and joined us for dinner every day. I'd definitely recommend this tour.Show more

  Had the greaest time a single guy could have. Spent my birthday and Christmas with some of the world's nicest people and got to see some amazing sights. José Luis was our tour guide and I will never forget how knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and hilarious he was. I travel a lotand hands down wasthe greatest 18 days of my life. I would do it all over again and again if I had the time off of work to doso. Thank you to everyone involved in this trip. You guys rocked my socks off!!! See youagain soon Ihope.Show more
