The Adventure Pass covers: Chobe National Park, Fish Eagle (Sunset) Boat Cruise Chobe National Park, Open Vehicle Game Drive with Resident Guide Okavango Delta Excursion, Mokoro/Walking Safari. Every adventure tour has an Adventure Pass which is paid to your tour leader in Africa at the beginning of the tour (or pre-paid by arrangement prior to your tour). This is separate and in addition to the Tour Price, and covers selected park entries, activities and excursions along the way where payment goes directly to the supplier to ensure local suppliers benefit directly from the income.

The tour price and Adventure Pass (USD 390) together pay for entry to the National Parks and gamedrives as well as the overnight excursion into the Okavango Delta. Most meals are included and all camping equipment except a sleeping bag and pillow, which you must bring yourself. Accommodation is in twin share tents - so if you are coming on your own you would normally share a tent with another female passenger.

I have been interested in this tour that ends in Swakopmund but I would need to fly out of the country from Windhoek. Does Acacia Adventure Holidays have advice for how to affordably get back to Windhoek at the end of the tour?

We certainly can quote on a transfer from Swakopmund to Windhoek, however please note that the 13 December tour is no longer available to book. The next available tour date: 07 February - 18 February 2024

Is it recommended interval or it is strictly followed? I am 78 and want to take part in travel where age range is 18 to 75. Can I do it?

We must comply with the upper age limit on this tour. We would be pleased to assist with our Small group tours which operate between Pretoria, via Zimbabwe to Victoria Falls and back via Botswana and the Okavango.

Absolutely loved this tour! My dad & I embarked on the accommodated version of the 12 day Okavango Delta & Etoshia...
Absolutely loved this tour! My dad & I embarked on the accommodated version of the 12 day Okavango Delta & Etoshia Express Safari and had the time of our lives. Our guide & team leader Pili Pili was a wonder, so efficient & knowledgeable and possibly the kindest, friendliest human I have ever met. He also cooked us the best fried chicken I have ever had. The amount of wildlife we saw was amazing, you will not be disappointed. The water hole at Halali was a surreal once in a lifetime experience. The food on our trip was simple but delicious & although our guides did most of the cooking it was expected that everyone help out prepping & cleaning up. The accommodations were all comfortable and warm showers were available at all but 2 nights. For those camping it was colder than anticipated so make sure you have adequate sleeping bags and warm clothes for at night. We definitely appreciated having a room with comfy beds after the long days. Especially with my dad who is 73, it was nice to not have to put up & take down a tent every day. The only difficulty I had was that a couple of the days were long driving days 10+ hrs. The trip covers a lot of territory & they are big countries so unless you’re spending a lot more money & flying it’s just something you have to do. If you have a bit more time, picking a tour that spends an extra night in places so that you have more time to take it all in would have been nice. The days are jam packed with early starts and late evenings. There was wifi pretty much everywhere, not always great reception but enough to check in with loved ones. We had a nice small group with only 8 guests so there was ample room on the tour bus & everyone had their own window seat to take in the scenery. Rest stops are mostly “bushy bushy’s” which basically means peeing behind a bush, so be prepared. Not sure how well it would work out if you had a bad tummy…. My only other suggestion is to use ATM’s. The instruction info said to bring US $$ which we did, but there were ATM’s that everyone was using and it was easier & more convenient than trying to change money over as each country uses a different currency. Also most excursions took visa and then you also don’t need to carry a big wad of cash around with you. I would highly recommend this tour. The people they have working for them are so amazing, they really go out of their way to ensure that you have your best vacation ever.Show more

  The tour ends in Swakopmund, Namibia. The nearest international airport is Walvis Bay.
  
  We can book pre/post tour accommodation in Livingstone at the tour start point (which is the 'Victoria Falls Waterfront Resort' in Livingstone), and post tour accommodation at the Amanpuri Travel Lodge in Swakopmund, where the tour ends.
  
  On tour accommodation is in twin share tents. We provide tents and sleeping mattresses. These are about 3-4cm thick. You must bring your own sleeping bag (and pillow if you want one).

  Could you provide a range as to roughly how much it will cost? So the first day of the tour isn't like we arrive anytime and have options as to what to do with our free time but we have the meeting in the morning and the group breaks up for the optional scheduled programmes? So we should arrive a day early preferably then?

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 61 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
