  Great tour which gets you to see all sides of Morocco. Yep there are hours in a minibus, but there are regular stops, and this is what is needed to see what is a large country. Well worth it. Morocco has such a depth of culture and history. Tour guide was great - he could answer every question asked, and was very clear about where we needed to be and when without herding us around. A very positive experience. Hotels matched the price of the tour, so around 3*, ranging from the "rustic" (which added to the experience), mostly average but comfortable, through to the fabulous glamping in the Sahara and the great Riad in Meknes. A good tour and a good experience of Morocco. Would recommend.Show more

  My husband Dennis and I recently enjoyed a 9 day tour through Morocco. We absolutely loved our experience! The tour company was well organized and provided us with excellent accommodation, a reliable, comfortable vehicle and the most lovely staff members to accompany us. Yasmin, our guide, was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. His English is excellent and he has a great sense of humor! Idris, our driver, has so much patience driving on these busy roads! We always felt very safe with him driving us around. He is a friendly, kind man, always cheerful and helpful. We were amazed at the huge range of landscapes in this beautiful country. We learnt so many new things on our travels. We both thoroughly recommend this tour. Our traveling companions also added to the feeling of having a special experience.   We did the Best of Morocco tour from Marrakach to Casablanca. We really enjoyed seeing Morocco and the tour guide and driver worked hard. We saw some beautiful places and wished we had perhaps booked a longer tour with more time in each place. Things we struggled with included: 1 - The Mercedes 15 seat sprinter van was really tight for most of us. We were a mix of Americans and Australians (tall people) and the van seats were very uncomfortable, especially on the long road days. 2- Hotels were mostly 3 star. 3- There were some very long days where we did not get to our lodging until 9 or 10 at night and still had to eat dinner. 4 - There seemed to be confusion on how much money to convert and how much we needed on any given day. We got a pre-trip letter discussing money, but a more detailed break down for each day including entry fees for monuments and tips for the guide each day would be helpful. 5 - Morocco is a very beautiful country, but be careful in trying to see too much in a short period of time because it can make for some very long days.Show more

I hear you loud and clear on the comfort of the Mercedes Sprinter; when you have a group of tall travelers, those long road days can feel quite cramped, and that is certainly not the experience we want for you. Your comments about the 3-star accommodations and the late arrival times are also very well-taken. We try to pack in as much as possible to maximize the value of the trip, but we clearly hit some limits with the travel fatigue on this route. I especially love your suggestion for a more detailed daily breakdown of costs. Providing a clearer "cheat sheet" for monument fees and tips is a fantastic idea to reduce confusion, and I’ll be working with our team to implement that into our pre-trip documentation. Thank you for the reminder that while seeing it all is exciting, it shouldn't come at the cost of rest. We are taking your feedback to our logistics team to see how we can better balance the itinerary and vehicle comfort moving forward.   The guides were pleasant and knowledgeable and hats off to the driver who put in long hours AND fixed a serious issue quickly in a few hours when the van broke down…. sensational scenery that varied immensely and the camel ride and desert stay were fantastic (save for no hot water but I can live with that). HOWEVER …. The tour NEEDS to be extended by at least 1 but probably 2 days if not more.. There was simply TOO MUCH time spent on the van (not bus) travelling in VERY cramped seating designed for children or midgets I suspect. 15 passenger seats and 15 reasonably tall people. No legroom, long hours spent shuffling, crammed in like sardines- not good - either reduce the number to no more than 10 passengers or GET A BIGGER VEHICLE !! We spent too much time driving, not enough photo stops and on at least 3 occasions arrived at our accommodation 8-9pm - tired and fed up with driving and at least once with no restaurant or evening meal provided or accessible ! There was not enough FREE TIME to wander the markets on our own or enjoy other local sites. Chefchaouen was the only time where we were given a few hours to wander the wonderful old town on our own and enjoy the area. I would have gladly paid an extra supplement for another couple of nights to reduce the ridiculous amount of distance travelled in one day. The guide Yassim was quite good and did what he could for us but I think he was working within a rigid framework that held no space flexibility. Sadly I will not be recommending anyone I know to take this tour, instead look for an alternate tour…. Only because of the lengthy time travelling in one sitting, AND the cramped vehicle. Morocco was magnificent but the tour COUKD have been so much more enjoyable and very easily so should someone take a good hard look at the logistics!!Show more

To provide some context, this specific itinerary is designed to cover as many of Morocco's incredible highlights as possible in under nine days. We structured it to start on a Saturday and conclude with airport transfers the following Sunday so that travelers can experience the best of the country while only needing to take one week off work. That said, I completely agree that adding an extra day or two is a great idea for a more relaxed experience. Your comments about the seating and the long driving hours are incredibly helpful, and I am taking them directly to our operations team to re-evaluate our vehicle standards and logistics. We want the journey to be just as enjoyable as the destinations. I’m sorry the pace felt so rushed this time, but I truly appreciate your insight as it helps us improve the experience for future guests.   This tour was a case of the positives outweighing the negatives - but there needs to be some improvements for future tour clients. The positives were: Great scenery and sites The glamping in the Sahara was fabulous The tour guide tried very hard and did a great job with what he had to offer. The negatives included Quality of accommodation - the Hotel Racine in Marrakech was very poor - multiple rooms had bathroom flooding (not leaking - flooding) after every shower. Transport - there were 15 guests on our tour and we got a Mercedes Benz Sprinter mini bus with exactly 15 seats - so what you say - there was a seat for everyone - well yes, but it was extremely cramped and uncomfortable - especially considering that we drove 2100 km in 6 days with one day involving over eight hours driving. Added to this was the bus breakdown - mechanical issues in the rear axle or differential - took 3 hours to repair and after we were told that we’d get a replacement bus, that didn’t happen. Many of us were concerned that we would have another breakdown and I believe we were extremely lucky not to. Timings - This tour was nine days in duration with six days on the road. There was a lot of content crammed in - perhaps too much for the time allowed- meaning that on at least two occasions we didn’t get to our hotel till very late. So - do I recommend this tour (or Timeless Tours) to other travellers - yes as long as you don’t set the bar too high. We had a great group on our tour - a broad mix from around the world - and I believe that we were very patient and forgiving of the shortcomings.Show more

However, I also want to address the "negatives" you raised, as they provide us with a vital roadmap for improvement. Addressing Your Concerns Accommodation at Hotel Racine: Please accept our sincerest apologies for the conditions you experienced. Multiple rooms facing flooding issues is completely unacceptable. We are currently reviewing our partnership with this property and have dispatched a quality control representative to ensure these maintenance issues are resolved or to source a more reliable alternative for future departures. Transport and Comfort: Your feedback regarding the 15-seat Sprinter is well-taken. While these vehicles are standard for Morocco's narrow mountain passes, we recognize that for a 2,100 km journey, "available seats" do not always equal "comfortable travel." We are evaluating our group-to-vehicle size ratios to ensure more breathing room on these long-haul stretches. Mechanical Issues: We understand how unsettling a mechanical failure can be, especially in remote areas. While we are glad the team managed a roadside repair, we regret that the promised replacement bus did not materialize. We are reviewing our emergency protocols with our local transport providers to ensure faster, more reliable backups are prioritized. Pacing and Itinerary: Morocco is a vast and vibrant country, but we never want the "content" to come at the expense of our guests' well-being. We are looking into the daily driving durations to see where we can better balance the sightseeing with earlier arrivals at our hotels. Moving Forward We truly value that you would still recommend us, though we aim to be a company where you don't feel the need to "lower the bar."   Our trip was very good, we loved it! Our guide Ben Imad was very nice and very knowledgeable. He always made sure we were happy and frequently asked us if we had any questions and if there was anything we required.He was very attentive to us along with Zac who was in training he was very lovely as well . Tarik the driver of the bus was amazing and got us to where we needed be on scheduled. We loved the desert, the camels were very very cool and we got to watch the sunset as we rode into the Sahara, it was incredible ! The morning after we went ATV riding which was a bonus, would highly recommend it at an extra cost, but well worth it. The blue pearl city Chefchouen was incredibly amazing, one of our favorite places while visiting Morocco, well worth the travel to getting there as it is a bit out of the way. Ben Imad took us to see the Bubir monkeys which was also so cool, another highlight. I must point out that while we enjoyed our trip, the time spent on our tour bus was rather long then expected, getting from place to place. This did not leave much time for exploring cities like Fez and Rabbat. It felt a bit rushed at times. It would have been nice to have a bit more time to explore. We also wanted to point out that at the beginning of our tour the day before we set out on the road , we were told we had to pay a one time hotel fee each, which gets divided up amongst all the hotel workers. We didn't mind paying this, but this was not divulged in the tour itinerary, maybe this should be disclosed, so there are no surprises. It was amazing, incredible and will never forget it !   I had a fabulous time on my tour of Morocco with Timeless Tours! Yassin was a fantastic guide. He was so kind and knowledgeable. He was able to keep our group on schedule and be flexible at the same time. We got to see so much of this beautiful country, try delicious food and have mint tea at literally place we stopped. One of my favourite parts was the sunset camel ride into the Sahara desert. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a fantastic taste of all Morocco has to offer.Show more
