  This was an unforgettable adventure! My advice-- just know what you're getting yourself into. Pros: The guides were very friendly and kind. Abdul in Fes especially went above and beyond to show us his city (even buying us all samples of street food). The itinerary was comprehensive, and the hotels were very nice. The experiences on this tour were unforgettable. It was incredible to ride on a camel into the Sahara and stay there overnight. We also saw ancient Roman ruins, amazing small villages, and had stops to enjoy some nature too. I am often a solo traveler, but I do not think I could have done any of it by myself. I definitely recommend a tour. It made the travel experience feel seamless and safe. Cons: The tour included many "sales stops." We would pull over at a pre-arranged location and be forced to listen to a sales presentation on some product (argon oil, scarves, rugs, tiles, etc). This was incredibly frustrating, because it felt exploitative and like a waste of time. The prices at these locations were also significantly more expensive than other vendors. This was true for lunch as well. We would be forced to go to one restaurant, with limited options and very expensive prices compared to the rest of the country (15-20 USD). They were clearly geared exclusively to tourists. Tour vans from every major company would be there. This was also incredibly frustrating, and we would be forced to stop there, even when all members of the group agreed they did not want to. My suspicion is that the guides all received a commission from these vendor and lunch spots. These frustrations were especially acute when combined with the lack of control over the schedule. Lunch was often delayed for several hours. This meant eating an early breakfast, around 7 am, lunch around 2 pm, and dinner as late as 9 pm. Also, just be aware of how much driving is on this tour. There were a few 8 hour driving days. This made the tour pretty exhausting, but the driving is also unavoidable if you want to see all the big stops. My point is, just know what to expect with this tour. I'd still recommend it overall.Show more

Prices in Morocco—as is true all over the world—do vary significantly, ranging from authentic local street food to established sit-down restaurants. While our guides typically coordinate stops at restaurants equipped to quickly seat and serve medium-to-large groups on tight traveling schedules, guests always have the freedom and choice of where to eat. We are reviewing our scheduled lunch stops with our local team to ensure our travelers are given more flexibility and variety, as well as clearer expectations on pricing. Artisan & Demonstration Stops: Local cooperatives (like Argan oil, rug-weaving, and pottery workshops) are included to highlight traditional Moroccan craftsmanship, but we hear your concern loud and clear regarding the feel of these presentations and price disparities. We are actively working with our suppliers to ensure these visits remain educational rather than high-pressure sales environments. Schedule & Drive Times: Morocco is a vast and stunning country, and reaching remote gems like the Sahara Desert does require long travel days. We appreciate you highlighting this for future travelers so they can prepare accordingly, and we are working on optimizing our itinerary timing to prevent long gaps between meals.   There were some positives and negatives to this trip. I don't always use a tour operator but sometimes I do and I felt on this trip it may be worth it considering the driving to the destinations required. I've never had a bad vacation, so I am giving this a "good" rating. I did enjoy the trip and there were a lot of positives. There were some negatives though and I would encourage the readers to make note of them. Negatives: The food. I found out a little later through the trip that I can simply decline the restaurants the guide tells you they will take you. Wish I would have declined earlier. The issue is they take you to these restaurants that I'm sure they made arrangements with and they serve the same meals over and over again. The worst part about the meals is that their pricing are for foreigners. You are looking at about $20 per person when you convert it over to USD. The food, restaurants, etc are not justified for $20 pp. When we ventured off on our own, I can get better food options at less than half the price. I did not like that I felt compelled to go to the restaurants they chose for you with these prices. If you go off on your own, you can even find some really beautiful restaurants (Try Trattoria) that have an amazing atmosphere and great food. The other major negative was the hotels. These are really 3 star hotels. I'm ok with the tent in the desert, the hotel in the atlas mountain or the riad as those are more of a unique experience and don't have to be luxury in any sense. The rest of the hotels are not worth it and we ended up booking a separate hotel on our end outside of the cost we paid for the tour to really experience a nice stay in Marrakesh. If it wasn't for the driving around the country I would have booked the flights and hotels on my own. We booked the last night at Les Jardins De La Koutoubia in Marrakech and it was amazing and worth it. Finally felt like a nice stay. The last two negatives are on a smaller scale. The guide takes you to these shop keepers and you are constantly being sold to. Always feeling compelled to buy after their presentation. They bring you to see what they sell and you sit through a short presentation and then feel compelled to buy. I don't like that. I prefer to walk into a store if I feel I'm interested. The last negative was the tour guide we had for one day (1st day) at Marrakesh. He was a bit rude and arrogant. He was quick to get rid of us and should have made sure we arrived at our hotel at the end of the day tour. The other guides were great though. Positives: We saw a lot of Morocco. We felt like we really did see the country and it was pretty. From desert to mountains and unique cities. Marrakesh is definitely the city that really gives you the Morocco vibe. The mountains were pretty. Great views. Desert was a cool experience. I really liked Chefchaouen. That was a very pretty town. Walk to the waterfall-worth it. Hit some of the nice restaurants on your own with a nice view of the city from their roof. Try Alladin. Casablanca was just ok. I would likely not visit that again. Not much there unless you want to see their mosque. I did like our main tour guide Yasin and our driver. They were informative and very kind. I did like the tour guide in Fez. He was a bit of a foodie and very enjoyable to be around and he was kind to buy some street food for us to try. Overall, a good trip. I did enjoy it.Show more

  Marrakech guide was good and gave lots on info, but just too keen to end the tour. My way from Marrakech to the desert, not sure if we were supposed to have a guide but the drive was useless, and was somebody else in the car was just as much, no word to anybody. Desert cross was smooth and good, however, again a little disappointment with some staff. Driving to Fe the driver was nice and gave us a laugh and info. The guid in Fez was excellent, it was a shame that he was not with us to the end of the trip. Fe is beautiful and full of little corner to go, marvellous tappets and man craft, so much to see. I would love to have a guide in the blue city, to have a stroll without getting lost. Manage to see the main street and it's beautiful colours. Over all I enjoyed my trip, but for sure could be better and blue city and Rabat could have a few hours more to spend and appreciate it's beauty.Show more

  My partner and I just got back from the Timeless Morocco tour and had an amazing time. The camel ride through the Sahara was definitely the highlight, and Zak was an excellent guide, super knowledgeable and made the whole trip feel effortless. The accommodations and the food were great (although we may have had enough tagine for a while), and the small group made the experience really relaxed and flexible. If you're thinking about visiting Morocco, I'd definitely recommend this tour.Show more

  I would give this trip a Very Good+, edging toward excellent. We saw so much of Morocco. Our guide was very good and his English excellent. Our driver was also excellent. The individual tours were very good and our days were packed with sights and sounds and local color. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars in my book was the van. The AC had trouble keeping up on the hottest days and the seats were pretty uncomfortable, some even broken. But otherwise, well worth the money and adventure!Show more
