Nairobi to Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Early morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or airport gets things started. The drive to Maasai Mara takes you through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, which offers nice views of the landscape. You'll reach your hotel by lunchtime, then after eating, head out on an afternoon game drive to start looking for the Big Five. This gives you a chance to get oriented with the park and see what wildlife is active in the late afternoon.

Maasai Mara Game Reserve
You've got the full day in Maasai Mara searching for the Big Five and other wildlife. Picnic lunches happen in the reserve, so you stay out exploring rather than heading back to the hotel. The scenic banks of the Mara River are worth walking through. If you want something extra, you can book a morning hot air balloon safari for a different perspective, or visit a local Maasai village in the evening to learn about the people who live alongside the wildlife.

Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
After early breakfast, you depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. There's an optional Maasai village visit available if that interests you. A picnic lunch breaks up the drive, and you arrive at the park in the evening. Lake Nakuru is known for its thousands of flamingos and the variety of other animals that live there, so even arriving late, you might spot some wildlife before settling in for the night.

Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park
Morning starts with an extensive game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park to see flamingos and wildlife up close. Later in the day you head out toward Amboseli National Park. Lunch comes along the route to break up the journey. You'll arrive at your accommodation by evening, where dinner is waiting for you after a long driving day.

Amboseli National Park
Spending the full day in Amboseli National Park, you get good opportunities to view Mount Kilimanjaro across the landscape along with the wildlife below. Game drives focus on seeing zebras, elephants, and other animals that inhabit the park. If you're interested in cultural experiences, there's an option to visit a Maasai village to see how they live traditionally. Meals and accommodation are all taken care of at the camp.

Landmarks Mount Kilimanjaro - Day 6
Amboseli National Park to Nairobi
After breakfast, take one final game drive in Amboseli National Park before heading back toward Nairobi. A picnic lunch breaks up the drive home, and you'll arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with enough time for your departure. This last drive gives you a chance to catch any animals you might have missed earlier in the trip.
