None of our trips include helicopters or burro rides.

Is there an option to pay extra for a helicopter tour or a burrow tour

    • K

      Keith

      TravelerWritten June 2026

And if so how much would it be

    • Wildland TrekkingOperatorWritten June 2026

You'd have to book the helicopter and burro separately. Those are not add-on services we provide, and I'm not able to even make an educated recommendation on other companies that do offer them, unfortunately.

Do you pickup and dropoff at the airport? What's the airport for grand canyon trip

    Flights / Transfers
    • Wildland TrekkingOperatorWritten April 2026

On our 3-day Best of Grand Canyon Tour, we would meet guests in Flagstaff, Arizona. Flagstaff has a small airport served by Horizon and US Airways Express. From the Flagstaff Airport one can take a taxi into town. One can also fly into Phoenix and rent a car or take a shuttle to Flagstaff. This is often your cheapest option. It is a 2.5-hour drive from Phoenix to Flagstaff.

    Travel Support
    • Wildland TrekkingOperatorWritten January 2024

Our tours are focused on hiking so we may not be the right fit for your needs. We hike about 6 miles per day and hiking in the Canyon is reasonably challenging. We do have day hikes that are private so it would be just you and the guide so you could go at your own pace and distance.
