Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll land at Kathmandu International Airport where someone from Relax Getaways will meet you and drive you to your hotel. During the afternoon or evening, there's a pre-trip meeting at your accommodation to go over what's coming up and answer questions you might have.

- Day 2
Kathmandu
Your guided tour starts early morning, taking you through Kathmandu's four UNESCO sites. First up is Swayambunath Stupa, commonly called the Monkey Temple, where you'll get panoramic views across the valley. From there, you head to Patan Durbar Square to walk around the Newari architecture and take in the traditional craftsmanship. Mid-morning you'll make your way to Pashupatinath Temple on the banks of the Bagmati River to pay respects at this sacred site. The fourth stop is Boudhanath Stupa, where you can see the iconic Buddha eyes painted on the structure. The tour finishes around mid-afternoon, so you'll have the rest of the day free. That gives you time to wander through the Thamel market area or check out Kathmandu Durbar Square markets on your own, picking up souvenirs or just browsing the local shops.

Kathmandu to Pokhara
Your riding guide picks you up at 8 am to start the motorbike adventure. From Thankot (where permits get sorted), you'll tackle difficult dusty roads and steep sections down to Naubise. After a quick break, the route continues through villages and alongside the Trishuli River with better scenery. You'll reach Pokhara by evening, check into your hotel, and have time to walk around the Lakeside area for dinner and the laid-back vibe.

Pokhara to Tatopani
You'll have breakfast with views of Mt. Machhapuchhre and a nice sunrise start. The ride covers 90 km along the Baglung Highway toward Beni for lunch and a break. From there, the road gets rougher heading toward Jomsom and the Kali Gandaki Gorge. Along the way you'll see Dhaulagiri at 8,167m and Annapurna at 8,091m on either side. The day ends in Tatopani, where natural hot springs let you soak after the ride.

Tatopani to Kagbeni
To dodge the strong mountain winds, you start riding around 9 am as elevation increases. The landscape shifts with different vegetation and higher peaks like Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri coming into view, and the Kali Gandaki River flowing below. You'll pass through Ghasa, Lete, and Jomsom on the way to Kagbeni, the entry point for Upper Mustang. The terrain is rough and demanding, but the mountain views and local culture make it worthwhile. You'll stay overnight in Kagbeni surrounded by high peaks.

Kagbeni to Lo Manthang
Today you head to Lo Manthang, the old walled capital of Mustang with its historical character. The route takes you across bare landscapes and off-road trails through remote villages and dramatic canyon-like formations. As the elevation climbs, the air gets thinner and riding gets harder, but the payoff is wide views of snow-capped peaks and the raw desert-like terrain of the trans-Himalayan region.

- Day 7
Lo Manthang
You'll walk through Lo Manthang and its cultural heritage. Check out old monasteries like Thubchen, Jampa, and Chode Gompas with their prayer flags, manuscripts, and religious items that show Tibetan Buddhist traditions. Talking with local people gives real perspective on their spiritual practices and daily life. The peaceful sites offer good space for quiet time. You'll also see the Lo Manthang Royal Palace where the Mustang King lived and the Chhoser Caves with their network of historic dwellings.

Lo Manthang to Kagbeni
The ride back from Lo Manthang to Kagbeni follows remote trails and rough ground through Upper Mustang landscapes. Going down is just as hard as going up, especially if trails are slippery from monsoon rains. You'll go through Ghami and Charang while following the Kali Gandaki River and along bare cliffs of the Himalayan desert with mountains towering around. As you get closer to Kagbeni, the dry terrain starts turning greener with glimpses of Dhaulagiri. This return trip shows the Mustang landscape from a different angle.

Landmarks Kali Gandaki River Dhaulagiri - Day 9
Kagbeni to Pokhara
Starting early after breakfast in Kagbeni's cool mountain air, you begin heading back to Pokhara. The day gradually descends from the rough Mustang highlands into lower areas with lush valleys and green forests. You'll see the land shift from dry mountains to settled green areas. Several short stops let you rest and think about the Mustang rides. Closer to Pokhara the roads smooth out for a more comfortable ride. Once there, you'll check in, relax, and take an easy walk around the active lakeside district.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
Your last ride is 6 to 7 hours from Pokhara back to Kathmandu through river valleys, hillside villages, and farmed terraces. As you climb from Naubeshi, quiet rural areas shift toward Kathmandu's busy streets. The roads are better than the Mustang trails, making this final stretch more comfortable. After arriving in Kathmandu and getting to your hotel, the trip ends here. That evening, Relax Getaways throws a farewell dinner to mark finishing this 11-day Mustang motorbike tour.

Kathmandu
After your days of adventure, it's time to head home. The Relax Getaways team will drive you to Tribhuvan International Airport and make sure you get there with time before your flight.
